Slaine watched his sister with a breaking heart. No matter what he did, he couldn't protect his little sister from the world. Sighing, Slaine bent down and kissed the top of her head. "Faelynn... It'll be okay." Turning, Slaine carefully lifted Oralee up, opening the door with his elbow as he stepped out into the area where the beds were. Setting her down gently, Slaine tucked the patient in. You saved my sister... But at a cost. Turning, Slaine walked back into the back room, pausing to wash and dry his hands, before he wrapped his arms around Faelynn and eased her head onto his chest. "Oh sis, you want to cry for them, don't you? I'm sorry, death is a part of this world. It's hard to adjust... We're so used to saving lives..."
Oralee faked being asleep until the male doctor had set her down on the bed. Opening her eyes, Oralee glanced around widely. Where were her weapons? Damn, they were probably in the other room, along with her cloak and boots. I have my bow and arrows on my horse. Standing slowly, Oralee snuck towards the door. She'd lost her skirts on that woodland path, and by god, she wanted them back. Then she would return to the clinic and deal with the doctors until they decided she was fit to leave. I can't ride my horse to the path, I'd be far too noticible. Damn. Grab my bow, walk in the shadows until I reach the woods, get my skirts, come back. This would be so much easier if I had the energy for illusions... Slipping out the door, Oralee freed the bow and arrows from the saddle of the horse, and slipped towards theforest. Each step hurt her bare feet, and each breath made her chest burn.

Alexandre noted a woman, not wearing much, trying to stick to the shadows. "Excuse me, miss?" He addressed her, looking directly at her. "Are you well?" he asked slightly concerned, "You appear to be in some kind of distress? Can I help you in any way?" He said, ready to react if she was violent. His nature urged him to help her though. Any woman, regardless of race, age or upbringing was a true lady. And he would treat them all as such. "Are you injured? If you are, I believe there is a clinic nearby. They could help you."
Lorne smiled to Godelieve and led her out of the tavern, "I may need that room later. Keep it open for me." He said as he tossed the key to the bartender who merely smirked. He led Godelieve around through the seedy area towards a dark, and what appeared to be , abandoned building. "Normally, even I wouldn't set foot in here. But to discuss a deal such as this, I suppose my client doesn't want to be seen."

Faelynn battled the tears and as soon as Slaine wrapped his arms around her, they all fell. She felt like she was a little kid all over and clung onto her brother as she bawled her eyes out. "I was sc-scared. You . . . you weren't there and I couldn't do any-anything but stay st-still." She saw Slaine as her male figure right now, and the only thing she could do was cry. Being a doctor, she was used to saving lives - like Slaine had said. Watching people die in front of her in brutal ways, she felt so helpless.
When Lorne tossed the key to the bartender, Godelieve smiled to him as a thank you. Then her face dropped into an emotionless mask as she was led to where the client would be. "Well, that's not unusual if the job happens to target an important person or an important item." Godelieve took a nice look at the building and deemed it as scary looking and didn't fear it. "Would I be welcomed by this client or rejected? I wonder. . . " Godelieve held on to Lorne's hand a bit tighter, but she didn't exactly realize that she had done it.

Oralee gasped when she heard a deep Mal voice, spinning around to face him. Before he had even gotten out the miss, Oralee had an arrow in her bow, drawn and aimed at him. She narrowed her eyes as he spoke, taking a step back. "I'm fine." She said, taking another step- and felt a pain shoot up her foot when she stepped on a sharp rock. "I cant go back there yet." Oralee didn't buy her skirts very often, and since they were customized, they cost quite a bit.
Slaine held his sister tightly, even as something in the back of his mind alarmed him. "It's alright, Faelynn. Go ahead and cry." Slaine petted her hair like he had been doing to comfort her since they were little.

❀Sophia Pendragon☠
The sun had streaked through the trees causing rays of sun to land on a small cottage in the woods of Northwestern Incolumitas. This was the home of the so called Snake Witch. The woman moved gracefully around her home dusting off a few things before grabbing a few logs and tossing them into the fireplace. Stoking it a bit she managed to get an actual fire going. Her eyes kept careful watch on it. The flames weren't her favorite element to deal with but it was a necessity. She moved over to a small pantry opening it to reveal some basic food. Grabbing the last roll she took a swift bite noting she would need to get more. As she chewed her body moved over to a table covered in jars, bottles, bowls, and books. The items needed of a witch. She flipped through one of the books as she finished up her roll and stopped on a page delicately running her finger over the text. She was running low on some basic potions and needed to replenish the stock of them. No sooner was she at work her hand moving precisely across the table to grab the ingredients she need. Tossing them into the bowl or tearing them off depending on what was needed. As she began her day of brewing the smoke began to rise from her chimney letting the world know she was at work.

((EPIC FIGHT SCENE!)) Lorne pulled a few boards away from a window and slipped inside. makign his way through the darkened building. In the darkness he could hear a voice. "You came back. I take it you want the job?" said a cloaked figure stepping from the darkenss, "And you brought a partner." "Yeah, you see this is a two person job." Lorne said, remainging calm, despire his clients imposing presence. "Good....good..." A sick twisted smiled could be seem from beneath the hood. "Now.....are you Lorne? That is who I want to hire. If you are not him, you can leave." "Yeah. Thats me. Lorne. I beleive I became called the Night Fox, in Magnae Silvae." Lrone said placing his hands onhis hips, a little annoyed. And worried. "Good....now you can die." He the man said and a flurry of razor edged barbs flew fromt he cloak. Three struck Lorne in the shoulder. He avoided death only by ducking and rolling to the side. He ignored the pain in his shoulder and drew his daggers. It was obviously an assassin. Lorne though had studied in an assassin style. He held back from killing blows. But now not only was he in danger. So was Godelieve. Lorne rushed the man, who readied a short sword. Lorne then dropped, sliding between the mans legs, his daggers slashing the tendons on the back of the mans kness. Lorne quickly rose and slaches aroudnt he mans shoulders, paralyzing his arms. "Talk or I kill you." Lorne said, his voice low and vicious. "Tell me what I want. Or I'll cut your throat." The man mean smiled and suddenly jerked his neck to the side and he collapsed dead. His neck snapped. "b*****d! there was no job. Just an attempt to kill me. And now I'll never know who it was." He sighed before falling to his knees, gripping his shoulder, the barbs still embedded deep. "And now I'm injured."

Faelynn didn't hold back and just let it all out. She cried and cried, repeating the same phrase over and over. "I couldn't help them." She clung to Slaine desperately, trying to stop crying. She just couldn't stop.
Godelieve watched as the horror happened. She kept on the mask but inside, she was a complete wreck. She watched as Lorne got hurt, and when the dude snapped his own neck. That's when she ran over to Lorne and grabbed his good arm to help him up. "Why are there people trying to kill you here? We should get you to the clinic, right now." Her bangs covered her eyes, which she knew would show how scared she was for him.

Alexander looked calmly at the boy pointed at his face. "A simple no, would have sufficed." he said softly, "And you will merely hurt your feet on this path miss. There are several sharp rocks. If you need help I will gladly assist you. It is the duty of a soldier." he then reminded himself that was currently AWOL. "Please. What is it you are trying to do? Allow me to help you. You will only worsen your injuries."
Lorne shook hie head. "No! Not the clinic..." he said as pain burned through is body. "Poison barbs....I can feel it....Ooh.." He gave a sharp cry on pain. "Theres a woman....kind of..." he said softly, "I've only heard of her. Shes called a witch. But supposedly she can cure any type of poison. With an assassin.....oh god....I don't wanna trust any doctor. She's in the Northwest. The Snake witch. She's who I need to see."

Godelieve began to panic. "The Snake Witch? How do I get you there? Do I go and get her?" Her voice held the panic within it and she was speaking fast. "Tell me what I need to do? How do I help you?" Her eyes teared up but she would NOT let Lorne see her cry. "Oh god. What do I do?"

Lorne slowly got to his feet. "I'm poisoned, not crippled." He said softly, "First, we get out of here, and then, we make out way northwest. Me might have to steal....er...borrow, a horse." He said with a weak smile, "I'll be okay fora a little bit. Don't you worry your pretty little head about me."

Godelieve took everything Lorne was saying in, trying hard to keep herself from panicking more. She mumbled under her breath, "Don't worry, what am I supposed to do, be happy you're hurt?" She gave a sad smile and nodded. "Let's go borrow a horse." She walked slower, always staying next to Lorne until they got to the stables. She glanced at one in particular, and he was a dark brown horse, with white down his face. "You'll do. Come on now." She grabbed the reins and took the horse out to Lorne with ease. Her and horses always seemed to get along. "Are you ready?" She was a bit antsy, wanting to get to the Snake Witch quickly.

"No, but stop panicking." He said wincing with every movement. "That's a nice horse." He said as he used hi right arm to pull himself onto the horse. He sighed, "Northwest. Trust me. Be glad that I know of someone who can take care of this poison."

Godelieve smiled a bit as he complemented on her choice of horse, then quickly mounted the horse with Lorne. She grabbed the reins of the horse and led it towards the northwest. "I am glad you know someone who can do more than I can." She made the horse run as fast as he could and soon spotted the smoke. "Go to the smoke I'm guessing?"

"Yeah....smoke..." he said as his vision started to blur. "And...Luck....I heard 'bout her from..'nother thief...." He said, his speech slurring slightly. The poison worked fast. Lorne could only hope that the Snake Witch could do something to help him.

Godelieve picked up on the fact that Lorne was now slurring his words, and her fear for him began to resurface. I might not get him there in time. The horse was running as fast as he could, and Godelieve knew that yet hoped the horse could run much faster. They reached the cottage that the smoke had been coming from and a small sense of relief washed over Godelieve, yet there was still the panic there. "We're here." She quickly hopped off the horse, and helped Lorne off too - as he looked so much worse to her than before. She helped him to the door, and bung loudly on it, in urgency. "Hello! We need help! Please!" Godelieve found herself yelling through the door, and tears - not many - had found their way out of her eyes and down her cheeks. She was genuinely worried about Lorne, and God be damned if she came all this way for him to just go and die on her.
