Another step, and Raven would find himself around the fence at last...though he was still some short distance from his destination itself. He could see the appearance of trees in the buildings in the distance, but he was still too far away to make out precisely what they were or how many.
Keeping a hand to his belt as usual, the child would proceed forward. He would be there soon enough to find out...

((Ah, my bad. It was 1:25am in the morning ......I was trying to post in my sleep ---it is dead ...quite dead))
A town, Iron Island has changed from what it once was. The place that was once nothing but mountains and underground mines had turned into a thriving community thanks to one thing ...this was an island. The darkness that now swell and grew over the main lands couldn't and wouldn't come here.
It was a safe haven, doubly so thanks to the organization commitment to this place. The emblem of that flew over this place belonged to Strike, and for that reason alone it was protected.
Though the exchange of goods only helped between the main land and this small island.
As Raven walked into the place, he would notice four things. The residental area, the Pokemon Center, the Pokemart, and surprises of surprises ...an active Pokemon Gym.
A training mechanizing that had been thought to have been lost in the spiral of time.
Though there one stood in this place as it he was left with one of four options of where to go to search for Excel.
Experience gained: 77

If Raven were the type to allow himself to openly perform such an action, the boy likely would have been salivating right now. Drooling like a starved man standing before a free buffet. Yes, he knew well what a gym was. He was from Ecruteak after all, and although the Gym there was no longer in use, the building still remained, the towns folk all knew well what it had been for. It was a place of battle...where trainers went to test themselves against one of the best in the region. A trainer who had seen many fights...experienced many things in both loss and victory...
All thoughts of exactly why he had come to the island would be lost upon Raven as his feet carried him forward. It would begin as a swift walk, and rapidly become a full on run as he made a dash for the Gym.
Only as he walked through the buildings doors would he recall he was looking for the Blacksmith Excell...well...the Gym Leader could probably point him in the right direction afterward...

The room would be dark upon entry, but after a few steps ...the light would flare to light ....as the room seemed to be made of maze of iron, rock, and steel. A heat would seem from this place that couldn't easily be explained on first inspections as a older man would walk to the front.
This was the second time today....he had had visitors as he comb a hand through his silvery hair. His dark skin would seem to blend in with the black shirt and pants he was wearing.
Black sweat pants as he walked in sandals and not shoes of the same coloration.
"Well ...well ...welcome there." "I take it you are here for two reasons, either to challenge me and my gym or to meet Excell."
He would declares lightly to him.
It would seem that he wasn't going to beat around the bush. He had work to do, and it was piling up while he dealt with these strangers to his land.

With that one sentence Raven would share a moment of legitimate shock. Apparently his intentions were more easily read then even he had believe; though it certainly saved time if this man happened to known the Weaponsmith. "Both actually" Raven would state, readjusting his left hands grip upon his weapon. He didn't like being caught off guard like that, even for a single moment. Grasping his weapon as he had was a way of comforting himself; had he been more childish, it likely would have been a blanket or stuffed Pokemon of some variety.
"I was sent to find the Weaponsmith Excell...however, my true goal has always been to grow stronger, and test that strength when appropriate" He stated firmly. Even if the man had figured him out, it was best to make his reasons for being here quite clear.

"I see, in that case, take a whack at my gym."
The man would pointed directly at the back of the place.
"If you are able to reach me I shall tell you exactly where the Weaponsmith, Excell is."
The man would declares with a hearty laugh. He would clap his hands together loudly as two other voices would come from that maze of stone, metal, and materials.
"We got a challenger."
One voice would declare loudly.
"We are getting into place."
A second voice would add.
"I shall see you then at the center."
The older man declares as he would gesture for Raven to walk into the maze before him.
"And good luck." "I hope to see you there."
The gym was now officially ready for him as the area that he would start upon would be hard as rock. The entrances made solely of stone, it would tell of what he might find there ...if his luck was truly bad.
((Iron Island Gym - rules for completion.
2 rolls on the right path will have you fighting the leader. 2 rolls of fighting trainers will be the same, and 1 roll on the right path and 1 roll of the trainers will lead to the leader as well.
The place is built like an above ground mine with area that actually sink in and rise. To reach the center you must walk upon the right path ....a roll of a 5, 10, 15, or 20 will lead to a dead end. A roll of a 4, 8, 12, & 16 ....will have you on the path towards the leader, and rolls of 3, 6, 9 will have you facing a trainer. All other rolls are wild, with what you run into ...being determine solely by what might be resting underneath your feet.
Good luck ))

Raven would smirk then, the edges pulling into the faintest hint of a smile. It was not a confident smirk, he did not think this would be easy. No, it was joy. Red eyes burning brightly, the boy was likely happier then he had been in quite a long time. This...this was it. A chance to truly test his strength, and to grow stronger in the process.
What he felt inside...it could almost be described as giddy. Had anyone else carried these feelings, they'd likely almost dance about with shear unrelenting joy! As it was, even Raven was having trouble holding it all in...and thus, his eyes continued to burn, and a smile spread full across his lips for a time.
His boots would echo against the stone as he walked into the maze, all but announcing his presence. It didn't matter, he wasn't exactly trying to hide now was he? The question was...which direction to go?
Looking about briefly, the child would place one hand on the wall and proceed forward. It was a bit of a cliche'd trick, but it was tried and true enough.

He would run smack dab into the first trainer there. A boy with black hair that seemed wild even by normal standards. He would run his hand through them as he smiles darkly. Oh how he was going to love this as he calls out to Raven.
"Halt, seems you have made a mistake ...and come the way of my remarkable self." "You run in this gym is now surely over."
He would draw from his twin knives. He would spin one on one hand and then the other as he display his own talents.
"I see you carry a weapon, good, it's boring when only pokemon battle."
"So, how about it ....this is to be a one on one match, between trainer and trainer and pokemon and pokemon."
"How does that sound."
"Oh before I forget, the name is Alex Ringheart." "Remember it, because you shall see my name across all the island soon....as the ultimate champion." "Then, I shall take over leadership of the organization and then the world with my will of steel and charm that makes even fire smother in my presences."
He would declare loudly as he would walk towards Raven then. The twin knives seem to disappear as he walk, it would lead one to believe that he had hidden sheathes underneath the long shirt that he wore.
He didn't even show signs of sweating.
In this heat, you would have thought that was impossible. Yet, this boy laughed in the face of impossibility.

Raven had to suppress the extreme urge to vomit this boy instilled in him. He was nearly as pompous as the nobles of these, and all lands in this age. Though the clear lack of noble blood did manage keep the child from flying into a rage...he still felt an extreme distaste for this ones very presence.
"I am Raven Illiaster Pheonix" The youth would state calmly, drawing his sword in one fluid, practised motion. He had no need for an overly complicated display of skills, all would be experienced first hand soon enough "I agree to your terms."
Alex would easily notice one interesting little thing. Raven wasn't sweating either, despite how heavily he happened to be dressed. In fact, his skin practically seemed to glow in the presence of so much heat. Though the reason for this was likely much different then those of the self-proclaimed future leader of the world.

"Good, I didn't want to waste my time with a boring challenger." "Though don't let our little fight end too quickly ...yes?"
He would ask even though the boy had said so few words that many would have thought it strange. Instead, Alex had simply take it that he was so stun by his presences that words couldn't be formed. It was afterall a great honor to battle with him ...one that many other trainers haven't had the pleasure and that many more would never even get a glimpse of his greatness except for in the stories, newspapers, and on television.
He was that good.
He would hold his hands directly downward as the twin blades would come from their sheathes. Though the surprising thing was that he wouldn't reach for a pokeball at all as he threw one of them up in the air, high as it would spin end over end and with a flash of red and a popping sound it would release the pokemon that had been contained within.
"I notice, you don't have a pokeball embedded." "So, I won't take an unfair advantage ...you will be beaten bad enough."
The creature would land on all fours as it's blue tail stuck up in the air. Eyes that seemed to be as clear as crystal would lock on Raven as he waited for his challenger and the Riolu eyes gave a sparkle that would make many a female pokemon bow at his feet.
Though that was only the distraction as the blade came back to earth as the boy catches it and comes at Raven with both knives drawn backwards as he swings them down and hard at him.
He had better get moving, slowness here breeds trouble later on.

Raven's opposite hand would fall upon the first ball upon his belt, tossing it out in the same motion which he used to dart at his opponent. He had no idea what having a Pokeball embedded meant, and he didn't particularly care. All such outside thoughts were useless now...pointless and distraction. There was only the battle, there would only be the battle.
The boy was in his element now, combat. Not simply a battle of Pokemon, but a true fight fought on all fronts. The strike of the knives would be met by one of Raven's own, the child angling himself to move under and behind his opponent's potential guard, the hilt of his sword coming upward to strike him in the chin. It wasn't any sort of lethal blow, no such attack was meant as such. It was a move meant to stun the opponent, leaving them open for a much more devastating blow...if it worked.
Elsewhere in this particular battlefield, the Riolu would be met with an opponent plainly not interested in his eyes. Flame licked tail swaying back and forth, Fable would look upon the blue jackal with only one thought. How best to obliterate the creature.
Raven would call him for one reason alone...and his scars itched at the thought of it. Another battle, a struggle between him and this Riolu, one he could not afford to lose. No, he could not afford to lose any battle. Every victory was a chance to prove himself to his trainer...to show the boy that he'd been right in choosing him. With that the one thought in his mind, the Charmander would charge, fist igniting as he passed it through the flame of his tail. This Riolu would go down in a blaze, but it would be Fable's glory, brought about by this Fire Punch!
Starter Pokemon: Charmander [M] Name & Level: Fable, Lv 5 [Temperament] Quiet Bio: Raven first met Fable during his time living on the streets, finding the fire-tailed reptile in one of hundreds of alleys he'd been in. Battered, beaten, and bloodied, it was clear the Charmander had seen it's fair share of battles...and lost every single one. He bit Raven only five seconds after their initial encounter. Fable had lost all trust in humanity. Raven was never fully aware of the details, but the Charmander's former trainer had been abusive. He'd placed him in battles with impossible odds, expecting him to combat and defeat opponent after opponent with little to no rest...and when he lost, it was his trainer whom would personally add to the reptiles injuries. Finally tired of wasting his time on "some worthless newt" his trainer had abandoned him in the dirtiest alleyway he could find and just left him there. The boy hadn't even given him a name...at least not one he cared to repeat.
For days after that first encounter Raven returned to the alley, usually meeting with the same result; yet still he kept coming, sometimes he even brought food. It was generally scraps most likely out of the garbage, but it was food none the less. One day the Charmander finally asked why the child kept returning...not with words of course, but with his eyes. The curiosity at the boy's actions were clear in the reptiles gaze. Raven had said he saw a fire in Fables eyes that day when they first met, the desire to become truly powerful. More time passed after that, but the only thing which mattered after that point was the outcome. Even without a Pokeball the Charmander decided to follow the boy from that day forward, even earning the name Fable in the process. Raven would speak of spending the reward money on new clothes and a bath, but what was consistently leave out was the purchase of a single Pokeball. There was no need. Even without it, Fable would follow his trainer to the depths of hell and back. Stats: HP: 18/20, PP: 23, ATK: 11[12], DEF: 10, SPD: 11, SP-ATK: 13, SP-DEF: 11 MOVES: - Fire Punch - Growl Held Item: Muscle Feather EXP: 199/400[Roll#1: Raven/Roll#2: Fable]

((And here is where my knowledge of fights with blades will come out .....as none. Please forgive if what I am doing now is impossible))
Though the boy seemed to be ready for that as he would literally seem to roll in the air. Twin blades had one very bit advantage as he shifts one blade from being on top to being on the both as he used them like scissors having the hilt help in trapping the blade between them as they ran down the smaller blades to that point, and he twist as he came back to earth. The move easily meant to pull a sword out of the hands of an unprepared swordsman, but Raven it seemed had already answered that problem by angling his body to move under and behind.
It was sure luck that his own move would make him land with one foot out as he would literally trip the boy.
Freeing both of their blades in that moment as he would roll back upon his feet in a backwards roll ...and twist to turn back around to face Raven.
It wasn't as glamorous as he had plan, but the first hit would belong to him as he would stand up defensively.
One knife pose upwards and the other pose downwards blade pointed at blade. It would allow him to quickly parry any moves and attacks that came at him.
"Well ..well...that isn't just a pretty toy with you."
The boy would declares in complete amusement.
Roll# 1 (1/5 - injury toward Raven)
Meanwhile Blade found himself facing his own competitor as that flaming fist would come at him. A move that seemed almost like a fighters in presentation, but belong solely to that of the fire type. It was an amazing thing, but, he wasn't the only one that could play with such a thing ...as for now the Riolu would see to catch that move in his own.
HIs would plant one foot down as he seemed to start spinning faster and faster in place with his other leg up. It was only once he felt the pain and saw that his foot had catch on fire that he would shift legs ....a time to attack lost.
He would shift legs quickly ...as he brought up his now flaming appendage in his own defense. The flaming leg held upward to catch that fist with his foot.
Roll# 2 - Blade

Tsuki left te store quite miffed. This stupid quest had taken a turn for the annoying. Remembering there were phones at the Pokemon Center he went back there. He carefully avoided the Joys. Taking out a quarter he put it in an started dialing. He was going to call Professor Barney.
Prime looked at him like he had gone mad. What was he even going to say? The Mankey walked over and sat on a bench nearby.

Though the phone would simply ring ...over and over. Haven't Professor Barney told him it wasn't going to be easy? That the item was rare? Then again, maybe he could have been a lot more ....clear about what he meant by rare.
The phone would pick up as a male voice would chime in.
"This is Professor Barney, I am currently busy." "IF you need something you have 5 seconds to tell me , or you will be talking to the ringtone."
The voice declares sharply....as he says next.
"1"
The man wasn't kidding.
