Damien laughed slightly when she spoke to him about Demons. "Believe me, that isn't all we do." He said it mysteriously as he glanced at her and then away, as she said she was glad for him. He shrugged and put his water down. He took a step towards her. "Look..I'm glad I came here and all, but we should do something more..interesting." His eyes flashed as he grinned, but they stayed a solid green. He wasn't hungry anymore, just slightly excited. ((Oh, noo problem! I totally understand, and thank you for letting me know!))

 Della watched Damien as he set his water down. "What do you mean by 'interesting'? OH! I have a collection of books about Angels and Demons if you'd like to read those. They're actually very interesting." She made her way to the bookshelf in the living room and started piling books on top of the coffee table. "If I seem excited, it's because I never could actually talk with anyone about this stuff." She smiled and turned around, expecting to see him on the couch. {You're so forgiving heart }

Disappointment and disgust registered on his face when she spoke about books. "Reading? You expect me to read?" Reading meant weakness and shy. And he was neither. He shook his head but followed her into the living room. Instead of being on the couch, he came up behind her silently and glanced at her body as she bent down to retrieve the books. He couldn't help but admire it, but he glanced quickly away as she came back up. Only inches away, he ached to put his arms around her waist, but he refused to make her scared of him for some reason. "I didn't mean that..our kind does not do 'reading'. It is disgusting." He frowned and turned away from her, so she wouldn't see the slight blush creeping through his cheeks from his thoughts of her earlier. What was wrong with him?

 Della jumped when she saw that Damien was so close to her. The books she had been holding clattered to the ground and she frowned slightly. What did he mean by they don't read? Like at all? she thought. "Well, what did you mean by interesting? What do demons find interesting?" she asked curiously. She tilted her head slightly and waited for his response.

Damien noticed her nervousness and backed up a step, giving her a bit of space. He grinned when she asked the questions, and he bent down to retrieve the books, giving them back to her. His eyes locked on hers for a second, and he seemed trapped, helpless. He noticed how beautiful her eyes looked, but he turned away suddenly, mumbling under his breath for a moment before he burst out with, "We go on adventures. We mostly kill..for fun." He said the last part slowly, turning to glance at her, pain in his own eyes for a moment. He knew he was a monster, that they all were, but he didn't like to hear it out loud. He wanted to tell her that he was different, that he didn't make the humans beg for mercy before their blood splattered. But he knew it would be a lie.

 Della observed Damien as she set the books down on the end table. Every time he talked about his demon nature he'd always turn away, as if he didn't want her to see something. What could he have been hiding? A smirk, probably. This was most likely part of a plan- gain her trust and then kill her. Yet, Della was falling right into it. It couldv'e been the way he spoke, or how he acted, but she genuinely wanted to trust him. She ached to. She wished to tell him all of her secrets and stay locked up in those green eyes forever. "Well, I suppose that is a demon's nature." she quickly turned away as she realized she'd been staring. Still glancing away from him she added "What sort of adventures have you been on?"

 Damien felt her staring and he wanted to tell her all sorts of things, but it wasn't possible. He gritted his teeth as he thought. It was a quiet a moment before he jumped, startled when she began speaking to him once again. He smirked, trying to hide his agony as he turned to meet her face again. "That is our nature.." But I don't like it, he finished in his head. What was wrong with him? He was a Demon, acting like a damn angel! He shoved his thoughts away and focused on his actions, like a good kind of Demon would. He now noticed that when he tried to catch her eyes, she wouldn't meet his. He frowned. Was it something he said? He wasn't surprised when she asked the question he had been dreading. Normally he would be eager to talk about them, but with Della..it was different. He was not proud of them. Instead, he was embarrassed and felt guilty. "I..er. Other than killing humans.." He winced, realizing how bad that would sound. "Other than that, I like to run." He grinned, remembering things he did when he turned. "You should have seen me when I realized what powers I possessed." He felt his eyes flashing to red, and then back to green. He strained to keep the shield of human color for a long while, and he continued speaking when he accomplished it. "I..would run through the forests, and scream until my lungs hurt. I was genially happy. But then.." His bright green eyes darkened. "I knew what my job was. As a Demon." He inhaled a breath and turned away from her. "I didn't like it. But I had to." He was down to whispering now, and he forced himself to ask the question, "What kind of things do.. Angels do?" He tried to see her face again, knowing she would be wondering what was wrong with him. He put the smirk back on his face, leaning up against the bookcase, trying to display his Demon ways again, but deep down he knew it useless.

 Della turned her attention back to Damien. "Well, we look after humans mostly. We get assigned charges, people that we'resupposed to protect. You know, like a gaurdian angel." Della walked around to the other side of Damien and began putting the books back on the shelf. "Of course, because I was new, I didn't get any special person to protect. I don't suppose I ever will.." She smiled sadly and stared at the bookcase. Her lavender eyes slightly darkened and a tear spilled over. They don't trust me, and I'm just making it worse for myself....she thought. She wiped away the wetness and looked at Damien again, who was smirking. That's probably a permanent fixture on him..

 Damien gave her a disgusted expression when she spoke of 'protecting' people. "That's pitiful," he muttered, getting off to stand instead of leaning on the bookcase. Deep down, he admired the Angels because everyone believed and loved them, when everyone hated Demons. When he was alone, he liked to think of the pain he had caused, but when he was with Della, it seemed wrong and he felt guilty. He turned to watch her bend down and grinned, watching her beautiful figure stretch this way and that. When she turned to glance at him, he acted as if he hadn't done a thing, but his smirk was still there, not catching the sadness in her tone yet. He noticed her eyes had darkened and he stared long enough to see a tear stream down her cheek slowly. When she put down another book and turned again, he had a worried expression instead. He stepped towards her, and he saw her wipe her face quickly, as if she didn't want him to see. "Della." He spoke her name softly, trying to catch her eyes with his green ones, which were the lightest they could ever get, right then. He took another step, and then another one, until he was only a few inches from her face. He leaned close and paused, staring into the beautiful beauty that was her. "Della..." he leaned in even closer, intending to kiss her. He would only do it if she wanted it, though. He couldn't deny his physical and even emotional attraction to her, even if he had only known her a short time. He knew she was an Angel, but somehow it felt right to him...

 Della looked up at Damien. He was very close to her, almost like he wanted to... Her eyes lightened at the thought. She should have been upset. She should have pushed him away. She should have made him leave...but she didn't. She stood there entrapped in the moment for what seemed like an eternity. Inside, she was screaming for him to kiss her; outside she was silent. She couldn't move; she couldn't talk. She knew he was a demon, she knew her feelings were wrong, but she couldn't deny that she had them. Slowly, she wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her lips to his.

 Damien saw her eyes light up and he couldn't resist a smile. He stared into her eyes for what seemed like forever until she finally wrapped her arms around his neck and put her lips on his. He instantly felt desire rage up in him and he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to him. His heart sped up as he moved his lips against hers, closing his own eyes and wanting to remember this moment for the rest of his life. He grinned against her warm, gentle lips. He suddenly remembered who he was kissing, but it didn't seem to bother him. Della was a beautiful creature who needed him, as much as he did her. He realized this in the short period of their kiss before he reluctantly pulled away, breathless. "Della..." He trailed off after saying her name in a gentle tone, not tearing his eyes away from hers. His mind reeled and he stood up, clearing his throat quietly. "I think it's time for me to go." He said it quickly, and he backed away from her, somewhat hoping she mentioned something before he left. This was wrong, all of it. Everything they were doing. These feelings for each other..all wrong.

 Della took an involuntary step back when Damien ended their kiss. She'd known that it'd end sooner or later, but part of her thought that he'd stopped too soon. When he spoke of leaving, she faintly smiled. This person, whom she just kissed, was a demon. Had she been human, she might have had a choice in the matter, but by being an Angel the choice had been made for her. Demons and Angels just don't.....can't belong together, and history had told of this tme and time again. Even trying to reason this in her mind was a struggle. "I....um." she stammered still reeling from what had just happened. "I suppose it is.. Well, if you ever need anything, I'm...here." she replied. She wondered what everyone would say now as she led him toward the door. "Um, Damien, I.. I hope you won't fall into any trouble because of me.."

Damien let her lead him to the door and he heard her words. He slowly turned around to face her, and he winced when she spoke of trouble. He shrugged and faintly smiled. "I'll just run." He said it softly as he stared at her for a moment. "I'll be back, Della. Count on it." Before she could react, he pulled her around and pushed her against the closed door. He closed his eyes and kissed her again on the lips, this time with passion. All too soon, it ended and he backed away from her. He opened the door and glanced back at her. "Something to remember me by," He said in a teasing tone, referring to the passionate kiss. "Goodbye, Della." He held her eyes for a moment with his, and again, before she could say anything, he closed the door behind him and engulfed himself within the shadows, disappearing into the night, his thoughts binding his mind down.

Della touched her lips and leaned against the closed door. She smiled and walked upstairs. She proceeded to get ready for bed as thoughts of the past few hours whirled around in her mind. She then layed down and slipped into a strained sleep.
*Timeskip; hope you don't mind*
Della awoke and yawned. She'd only gotten three hours of sleep and she could truly feel it. The angels were really starting to get to her. They had been visiting her in her dreams, telling her about how wrong she was. She hadn't seen Damien in three weeks, and yet she was still receiving hate dreams for it. She made herself a cup of tea and stared out of the window. I wonder how he is.

For the past three weeks, it had been slow for him. Thoughts were hitting his mind, like buzzing bees that wouldn't stay out. One would sting him and go on, and then another one would come and do it again. He was arguing with himself inside whether he should visit Della or not. One part of him was saying that yes, he should. She was his friend now, and no reason why he couldn't anyway. Friends did that, right? But the other part was screaming at him, not wanting him to go. There were dangers in every part of his next visit. He could try to kill her again without realizing it. After all, he had only killed two girls in the past three weeks. He was hungry for souls once again. But he knew he there was a small chance in that. But it was also wrong to do. He had feelings for her. After another day had gone by, he gave in and decided to go. What harm would it do? Trying to ignore that part that was screaming at him, he somehow found himself at Della's door once again, and knocked softly. If she hadn't come by the next thirty seconds, he would leave, he told himself. One, two..three..He counted in his head, feeling foolish and not at all like himself already.
