"Let's go, then." Enough waiting, enough wondering, enough worrying. They had a job to do, and thinking about what was about to happen wouldn't make it any easier. Marsh offered Em his arm, just like a gentleman, and grinned. Hey, princess. Ready for this?Miyako let him know that she was always ready to feed.

"Beautiful!" Amy responded, moving in to stand with the group. Again, she felt a small smile grow on her face. Humor in situations like this was a gift, one she'd always appreciated in her teammates. "I'm happy to add some variety, gentlemen." It looked like she had a decent group, and someone even looked fam-- "Hey! Adam, from the cafeteria, right?" Her smile grew. Of course she recognized him. She'd only met him yesterday.

"One in the same," Adam nodded, glad to see at least a somewhat familiar face. Unfortunately... she did have a face, and a name, and a story. He would have to protect her lest he watch her die as well. "We're on defense. Our French friend here will take over the piloting."

Ralph watched quietly as the two taller men met.
No...
That was the cruel reality, wasn't it? If Piglet didn't grow a pair tonight... There was a chance he never would.
"I uh... I can... P-p-ilot-"
And then... A ghoul showed up... Needless to say, Ralph lost all train of thought.

"I don't mind." Aiden replied. It was good to see Melynda again. She was somewhat familiar after all. Aiden thought he heard a voice. But it was just so faint and small in comparison to the rest of the crowd, he dismissed it as background chatter. He rubbed his ear mindlessly, deeming it a trick of the hearing. Sorry Ralph.

"Piglet will pilot," Clint decided for them. "He's one of those gamer nerds, he should be good at controlling it, right?" he added before looking at the female joining their ranks. "The three of us will guard. If you still want to join us, that is," he added to the girl. Now usually he would think the girl should be the one protected, but hell, he knew Piglet, he didn't know this chick. There was a chance she was a decent fighter.

It was lucky that C had kept herself turned away from Selena in the moments after snagging her; had she really been paying attention to her lack of "ugh gtfo," she might have panicked herself right off of the building. And that would have left the two of them without a third team member, which probably wouldn't bode well. They would need all of the numbers they could get. A shriek came as a reflexive response to Selena's ferocious poke, followed by a teasing shove. "You, b***h! You seriously want to trust either of us to pilot this thing? Don't even play. Leave us to do the grunt work." She made a show of flexing her muscles, which really were not at all impressive as far as muscles went. Not that it mattered when defending Selena; she'd fight tooth and nail and to the death before allowing anything to happen to her. Her showboating had clearly attracted the best attention, and when it came turn to get a kiss from Em, she purred a contented "mmm!" against her lips. Em was her favorite to kiss. Kisses from here were not like kisses from strangers in the clubs. They weren't too drunk or too sloppy or too timid or too pressured, and they always left her knowing that she'd meant it. The only downside was that they always left her wanting more, and with the goodbye a**-slap, C had to come to accept the fact that she might have to wait quite a while to share kisses again. "Hokay, well!" A pause to catch her breath. "You guys up for this?" There was no option to say no, really, but hearing the affirmation from the two of them would help her get rid of these shakes. She hoped.

"That sounds just fine to me." Defending her team was what she did best, after all. She would protect her team or die trying, it was a fate she had resigned herself to long ago. With any luck, though, she would live to do it again tomorrow. "The name's Amy," she nodded to the two she didn't know, "pleasure to be working with you."

Bradly came limping in, a bandana tied around one leg and using his bat as a cane. Breathing hard, he stood up. Yeah, he was totally boss. He took a spike to the damn leg. No one could say he wasn't gansta. The more hits he took, the bigger his rep was.
Now to find a team.

"The twin towers? Sounds good to me!" Julio agreed as he picked his weapon back up. Before heading out with the rest, he turned towards the other girls within the area. "Senoritas, you take care of yourselfs ok? Good luck to you all!" he called out. Nodding to his little group, he went on and made his way with them. "We're gonna rock this night. I can feel it," he commented. Whether or not they died (which seemed highly likely), they were still going to rock it.

"Oh good~" Melly clapped her hands a couple of times. She was practically bouncing. Which was really a rather odd reaction to what was probably going to amount to a suicide mission. She was just ... working so very hard at pretending it would all somehow be okay. Even though a part of her most definitely knew the chances of that were slim to none. "I'm Melynda, like Aiden said," she introduced herself to the other two men. "Or Melly, whichever you like!" Then she tilted her head slightly at Clint. "Who's Piglet?" Like, from Winnie the Pooh?

He listened to the goings on between the two of them, and when it came time to discuss who would be piloting, the hesitation in Alexi's eyes was....palpatable. Taking a small breath, he murmured softly, "I'm not much good at attack. My specialties lie in barriers and healing." It was his not so subtle way of saying 'oh hell no.'. He wasn't the sort to run head long, screaming for battle, nor the sort to do battle at all. Irritability stirred within him, and he took a tiny breath, "So I'll play support. You don't want me to pilot. I might crash it." He murmured, making a tiny snort of derision. He was being serious too....

"Ralph," Clint said simply, placing a huge hand on the short male's shoulder. "He's our pilot." Whether the kid had volunteered or not (since Clint hadn't heard it either) didn't matter. He was going to do it. With that decided he got out his ball and chain and went to work checking the links as he let them talk.

Flair had called out to her, not that Aki had planned to team up with anyone else, after all the old hag was Nico's cousin. He'd want to protect her. Aki wanted to protect her. The two Sun Hunters walked towards where Flair and the rest of their team was. She glanced around at the assembled group. Two moons. Counting Flair and Nico, that was two suns, two moons and one life to pilot the thing. That was good, so long as the moon hunters kept close to the Argus, she and Nico could take care of other…problems. "Are you guys ready?" She asked the group. "It'll be best if the Moon Hunters stayed close to the Argus. Flair, of course, will pilot. Leave crowd control to Aki and I." Nico said, hoisting Vogel over his shoulder. He was always good at the thinking thing, Aki left that to him. Her hand settled on the hilt of her sword. It was amazing how much calmer she felt now, the fear that had been left over by the Horseman had complete dissipated. The girl was glad she'd found Nico, even if she felt that they were heading to their deaths. (( I'm going to be pupating Nico since Solils is busy atm. Hope this is okay… >> << >> ))

Em peered up at Marsh and her cheeks flushed a happy pink as she slid her arm under his, and snuggled against his body. She heard Julio's call to all the ladies, and rolled her eyes, laughing. "Jeez, Julito, the boys deserve some luck too! You're so cruel." She turned to look at the group as they left, one last time, and a smile played on the corners of her lips. They all deserved the luck, and love, that Julio could give them. He was just so selfish, keeping it only to girls! Looking up at Marsh and Lowe, she leaned her head against Marsh's arm and sighed. At least these boys weren't selfish; they knew how to have a good time with anyone open to love. It reminded her suddenly of that kiss she'd accidentally witnessed, and her smile was still on her face as she pulled her headset out of her helmet and tapped on the button to speak into the main channel. "Hey, Cowboy Cliff? Isaac? You guys around?" All she received was static. In fact, she soon realized that none of the other groups were speaking through the public channels - a stark difference between the gossipy gab they were doing earlier.. "Cliff?" The static continued to greet her, and her smile finally failed her. ".. Isaac?" Em looked up at her boys one last time, lingering on Lowe for a moment. "Anyone..?" She felt the sting of tears threatening to fall from her eyes, and her face fell in dismay, as did her heart.
