Sethrian.Terkynna "They have all the books cataloged," Sethrian said as he followed Kamil into the library. "We can search titles and subject matter on the computers there. Then the books are arranged by type and number." That's right. He supposed that Kamil probably hadn't been exposed to a real library before. They obviously wouldn't have libraries under the water. "I suppose I shall need to show you how to work the system. You'll be making use of the library frequently for schoolwork so you'll need to learn how." It was a little frustrating how little Kamil knew about the surface world, but irritating as it was, Sethrian couldn't hold it against the other boy. AFter all, he had a valid reason for ignorance.

”All say, ‘How hard it is that we have to die’ - A strange complaint to come
"I know the feeling. I'm always overwhelmed whenever I come here, but I usually just skim through the genre categories until I can find the right one. That way, I don't get overloaded by the sheer amount of books." Kasie mused, already floating and gliding through shelves to look for any category pertaining to being dead, ghosts, and whatnot. Ghosts. Ghosts. Ghosts. Now where could that be?
It was a good thing that shelves and walls no longer mattered to her, or else this would have been a pain. Wait, it still was no matter what. "Oh! I think I found it, but it's kind of high up." She remarked as she hovered near the indicated books. Of course, she wasn't going to try to touch these. Water and books from a library wouldn't mix one bit.

Kamil Terrace ________________________Kamil left the bookshelf that he was currently gazing at and tried to find Kasie in the maze of bookshelves. When he finally found her, he fund her hovering in front of a book that was way too high up for Kamil to reach.
"Why do they have to put those books so high up!? Shouldn't there be a ladder or stool around here or something? Where's the librarian anyways?" Kamil sighed as he crossed his arms, looking a little frustrated.
He had to wonder how Kasie felt. The book was right in front of her but she couldn't touch it at all. It would frustrate Kamil a lot. Well, he wouldn't be frustrated if it was a book, but if it was a cheesecake or something...
Kamil suddenly realized he was hungry. But he knew that his hunger would have to wait for the moment. "I'm going to look around for some kind of stool or chair we can use." Kamil said as he hurried away and disappeared behind bookshelves. Hopefully he doesn't get lost in this maze...
((If I'm offline, feel free to ditch or ignore Kamil because I might have to go offline for a bit soon))

Sethrian.Terkynna "There should be a ladder around somewhere," Sethrian said, abandoning the idea of teaching the others how to use the catalog system--that would have been boring anyway. Using Kasie was apparently much faster. He quickly strode through the rows of shelves, finally finding where she was floating. He supposed he could leave the finding of the ladder to Kamil. ...probably. Actually, he wasn't entirely sure about that. "I suppose if he doesn't come back in five minutes, you should go look for him."

"Oh, there it is." Kasie blinked as she pointed to the steel ladder just a few shelves down, moments too late from stopping Kamil from wandering off. Oops... Well, how hard would it be to find a blue merman anyway? That should be an easy job with her ability hover to the top and spot from a bird's eye view.
"Yeah, I'll make sure of that, or do you just want me to call him over now?"

Kamil Terrace ________________________Kamil couldn't find a ladder. But he also realized that he couldn't find something else too.
His way back. He wandered through the bookshelves, unsure which way was the right way. Maybe he should try yelling for them. Well, revealing that he got lost in the library wouldn't be really cool at all.
"Well, I guess I'll just find a ladder and my way back. I should have a good sense of direction since the ocean never had signs anyways." But Kamil always had a sense of where he was because of the temperature of the waters. His skin was sensitive to temperature. Sadly to say... the temperature of the place did not help Kamil's sense of direction.
Suddenly Kamil stepped on a book that was left laying on the floor... and he soon found himself stumbling forward because he wasn't expecting that book to be there. Kamil grabbed a few books on a shelf to keep himself from falling, but he ended up pulling them out which caused an avalanche of books to fall over him.
"Fishboooones-- oof!"

Sethrian.Terkynna Sethrian paused, listening to a cascade of resounding thuds a short distance away, followed by a faint 'oof.' "No, I think we should just follow the sounds of him wreaking havoc on the library. Hopefully he hasn't managed to kill himself yet." He started in the direction of the noise. "Perhaps you could find him quicker than I and at least make sure he hasn't broken himself or anything else of value," he said to Kasie. "Kamil!" he called. "Are you still alive?" He peered between each row of shelves as he went along, figuring that soon enough, he'd happen on a big pile of books with a bit of bewildered merman sticking out. Somehow, he should have known that Kamil's search for a ladder, would not go well. He glanced back to catch the numbers on the shelf where Kasie had found the book, so they wouldn't have to search again. Now to rescue Kamil and find a ladder himself, so they could get to it. In the back of his mind, he wondered vaguely why it was that he always managed to get caught up in things like this. But he supposed he wasn't...entirely unhappy about it. At least they were interesting, and it was better than being alone.

Kamil sure was loud, and Kasie couldn't help a wince when she heard a distinct shout as well as the sound of falling and heavy objects. Whoosh! Kasie immediately zoomed and zig-zagged about to search for the apparently hurt merman, but by the time she had found him, Sethrian was already there. Oh, then... That was dumb of her to scour the whole library and save this particular spot for last.
"K-Kamil? Are you okay!? Are you fatally hurt? Or just hurt in general? None of the books hit your head right? Or not to badly? If they did, then that's really bad. Have any books crushed or shattered any body parts? Ack! What to do? What to do? Oh gawd, that looks like it hurts. Oh man, oh man, oh man! You can't die like I did okay? So, so, just keep living like a good merman you are." Kasie fretted and flailed like a headless chicken, feeling completely useless that she wasn't able to even help Kamil. Screw if the books were going to get wet! She was at least going to try to knock some books off in order to lighten the load, and hopefully, she wouldn't make them even heavier by soaking them.
And... it was a miracle to her when she actually did lift one up. Though she did still get it wet "I-I did it! Yes. Yesssssss! I finally touched something! Wait! Kamil! Snickerdoodles, I forgot!" Flinging that sole book aside, she went on to removing the rest of the books, only to miss like she always did. "...... This isn't making any sense."

Kamil Terrace ________________________Kamil pushed a bunch of books aside, most of his body throbbing. From under the books, he heard Kasie panicking and then for a brief moment, sounding happy, and then panicking again. He didn't quite hear what she was saying so it confused him.
He glanced up at Sethrian who looked like he was having an internal facepalm and there was Kasie who was trying to pick up the books but couldn't. He grinned at Kasie. "No sharks! I'm okay. I'm was only covered by one shelf of books. It hurts a little but I can take it. But people should definitely not leave books on the ground or people running in the library would fall!"
Kamil shoved some of the books off his legs and he got up and stretched and regretted it when the sting intensified. "Urk-- I'm not doing that again..."

Sethrian.Terkynna Sethrian sighed and closed his eyes for a moment, mentally cataloging everything that had just happened and formulating a to do list. "First and foremost, Kamil--are you certain you are unharmed? If need be, we can take you to the infirmary to be checked. After that, we will need to clean these books up and return to retrieve the book that Kasie found." He turned to the girl, some curious. "Saying of which, you picked up a book and moved it. It was just one, but I saw. How did you do it?" She had seemed frantic to help Kamil so perhaps her ability to manipulate objects coincided with strong emotions. Or at least partially, at any rate.

Sharks? Kasie raised an eyebrow at that, looking more confused than ever. Okay, okay, she needed to empty head and start all over. One, Kamil was buried under books. Got that. Two, she lifted a book, and then couldn't after that. Three, Kamil was okay and probably just said a mer-saying or something. There, all better.
"Kamil, you shouldn't brush it off. Even if it's only a little pain, you should still take it easy, and by the looks of it, you definitely have to go to the nurse's office just to at least make sure you didn't sprain anything." Propping her hands on her hips, Kasie felt like a nagging mother hen, but this was the most she could do.
Facing Sethrian, Kasie did her best to explain what she had no clue what went on. "I'm not sure. I was just really worried for Kamil, so I tried getting the books off and tadah, I did it. Then, I couldn't do it anymore."

Kamil Terrace ________________________Well, asides from the fact that every part of Kamil's body hurt, Kamil was completely fine! What were these two worrying about. It's not that he was bleeding... right? Besides, Kamil didn't want to go anywhere near a surface dweller infirmary. He was told stories that patients often get poked with needles and if the injury really was bad, then he'd have to be cut up and then put back together again!
There's no way surface dwellers could cut up a merman and put him back together again! He was probably the first merman to ever run around in this world! "R-really? Can't we just use a band-aid or... something?"
Kamil whirled around to face Kasie, excited about the discovery. "Really!? You touched a book trying to get the books off of me!? Maybe I should pile more books on top of myself! Actually... I kind of don't want to... can we nominate someone else?"

Sethrian.Terkynna "No, Kasie is right. If you are in pain, you should be seen--at the very least the nurse can check for obvious injuries like sprains or contusions," Sethrian said. "I...also do not like doctors, but Kasie and I shall go with you. We can come back and clean the books up later. But only if you are in pain." He sighed. "And no, we are not piling books on anyone. Kasie, try to think about exactly what went through your mind. We may be able to replicate the situation in a less dangerous way but if not, it's still helpful to know precisely what you were thinking when you moved the book. We can still apply that knowledge to our research." He looked around, glad there weren't any teachers in sight.

"I agree with the no books idea. I'd rather not panic like that again. Plus, getting these books wet isn't the greatest of ideas. Also, like Sethrian said, the nurse is here to help, not make things worse, and we'll be every step of the way with you. So you have to go!"
Kasie kept insisting, noting every pained grimace on Kamil's face before turning her attention over Sethrian, thoughtfully pondering over her reply.
"Hmmm... I believe that I was thinking along the lines of the fact that Kamil shouldn't die. Not yet anyway. It's still way too early, and death by books doesn't sound all too epic if you ask me. I don't know. Maybe it was because I didn't want him to end up like me so soon? Well, I'd recommend dying to anyone, but not when you still have stuff you want to do, which you two certainly have. That's all."

Kamil Terrace ________________________Why did they keep insisting on going to the nurse's office!? Kamil was terrified, but he caved in finally since his friends said that they would be there. As long as they didn't leave him alone with some crazy nurse that wanted to experiment on cutting up mermen, then he should probably be fine... hopefully.
"Well, I guess I'll go--Not because I'm hurt but because you guys keep insisting!" Kamil huffed as she crossed his arms. He cringed as he did that. He probably shouldn't do that again...
But they went to the library for Kasie. He felt bad for having to make everyone leave just because he stepped on a book. At that time, Kamil learned a very valuable lesson: Never run in a library because some careless people like to leave books on the floor.
"But before we go... let's go get that book that Kasie saw. We can always come back and clean this mess later."
((Head to the nurse's office? =O))
