Donny smiled at the boy. "My name is Abbadon Flitzgerald, officially. Unofficially it's Abbadon Richardson. I don't really hold a title just yet, but my half-sister is a princess, one cousin is a queen, my uncle is a high ranking angel, my dad is a member of the Wizard Council, and my mom is the angel of judgement, but please call me Donny." He told the other boy. Donny was going to be a kid from a family of famous people and yet not come out of it with a title at all. Eowyn moved a bang out of her hair as she pushed her book back into her arms. "I'm Eowyn, my family is just rich." She answered who she was.

Amira Josephine Windstorm, Third Daughter of the Basileus

Amira had been under the impression that a governer was a sort of surface politician, but from the way her new friend was speaking, she wasn't so sure that was the case. Maybe it had another meaning? Ah well, it didn't really matter, as the subject was changing. Amira wasn't quite sure how long she would be at the school. She supposed until she worked through the grades, though she was hoping to get a few years at a Sylph school instead of going to a surface middle school. "You have to marry a princess?" she sounded surprised, as the only royalty she had known before had been her siblings; the option to marry royalty would require marrying outside the race, which wasn't generally encouraged for heirs. People on the capital never really had the chance to interact with beings outside their own race, so the blood there was generally very strong.

Orion didn't know who any of the people the other boy was talking about were, but he supposed it didn't really matter. He was surprised to learn of all the royalty at the school, but he didn't say such. He turned to the two that had just arrived, smiling faintly.
"My name is Prince Orion Windstorm. It's nice to meet you." he was more relaxed now that he had found the person his sister had wanted him to be friends with, and the other students didn't seem all that bad. "My siblings call me Ion, and you may as well." he wasn't sure where they got the nickname, but it had been his oldest brother's idea.

"Hi, I'm Lyndis Suncaliu."

Ion was an interesting name nickname, but she kept from saying so. There was plenty of other things to talk about with this new student, so she perked up lightly once the introductions were finished. "What's the sky like?" She'd been prepared until her uncle's return to ask, but with another sylph so close, she couldn't help but ask. "And what do you think of being down here?" Waiting for his answer, Lyn snuck another glance to Yvette, wanting to make sure that her friend was feeling better. The bell would be ringing soon, she assumed, so she was hopeful that everyone would be in a lighter mood for class.

Elendil didn't understand why she didn't understand why he had to marry a princess. "Well the Lord doesn't want his daughter to become queen, but a diplomat because she's better off as such. He will then place me as the heir to the throne. To please my people I will be placed in a political marriage to a princess." He told Amira. It was how his people were surviving when they were also dying.

"Ion, cool nickname." Donny commented. Eowyn rolled her eyes. "Reminds me of science classes." She added as she again adjusted her book. She looked at the cry baby who had stopped her loud pouting to a silent pout. She then looked at the boy to tell them that she had heard him.

Amira Josephine Windstorm, Third Daughter of the Basileus

Listening eagerly, Amira was always interested in learning new things, she nodded after he finished. "A political marriage? That doesn't sound nice." she frowned, wondering where the romance in a political marriage. Sylphs didn't have political marriages, though she supposed it was rather convenient that her oldest brother was marrying the Russian settlement's ambassador's daughter; she didn't think it had been set up for marriage, as said daughter's little brother was her sister's best friend since way before Amira was born. "What sort of princess do you think you'll marry?" she was curious as to what might motivate a political marriage, being unfamiliar with the term.

Smiling patiently, the prince shrugged.
"My older brother saw how my name was spelled before he heard it and came up with it then." he explained, seeing how it could remind someone of science. He turned to Lyndis at her questions, smiling faintly. Her uncle would still be up on the city, as the two children had actually been sent to the school the day Rina had agreed to return home. "The sky is.... home. It's big and blue and beautiful." that was more b words than he had intended to use, but they were all accurate. "The surface is... different. It's not bad, but I'm used to having an end. And Rina said I can't just fly around any time I want because a lot of people aren't used to that down here." where he was from people flew all the time, but apparently not all surface dwellers could fly.

Elendil didn't really care much about who he ended up. As long as his people were happy and a peace with the world. His role as king was to make his people happy, not as much as to rule them. "Political marriages can be wonderful. The women who I see as sisters have wonderful men in their life. Sopian who is the eldest is in love with a dwarf and Lillie is married to a knight and is in love greatly with him. the union of my father and mother is also well loved." The boy told her. Elendil always was around cases of positive marriage when came to the subject of arranged marriages. "I don't know. It's still a long ways away. I'm sure that my Lord will pick a princess that will create peace between two groups. Someone who can be in tune with nature will be well liked."

"Hi, I'm Lyndis Suncaliu."

Quietly pleased that she was given an explanation to Orion's nickname without having to ask, Lyndis listened with interest as her own question was answered. Slightly disappointed by the lack of details, as she had already known that the sky was big, blue and beautiful, she let out a soft sigh. She supposed that he'd answered as best as he could, so she refrained from going on; her uncle would be full of more details when he came back. Instead, she smiled at Ion's view of the surface, having forgotten that the floating city did indeed have an edge. "Yep! You could walk forever if you wanted to."

Well, that seemed nice. At least the people that had been placed in the political marriages were still able to love each other. "I don't know who I'll marry. My brother will be Basileus by the time I'm old enough to pay attention to it, so it won't really matter." she would probably end up with some government official's kid, as those were the children she saw most often. However, she did hope that she'd have a chance to meet all sorts of other people before the time came so she knew she was making the right decision.

Sensing that his description had been unsatisfactory, the prince considered a moment.
"I don't really know how to describe it. I'm not all that great with words. But I guess it's like being on an island except that you're surrounded by clouds and sky instead of water, and sometimes you can see more ground way below." he didn't really know what sort of details she was looking for, or what she expected. It wasn't really something that he had ever thought to describe, but he tried. Orion glanced around a moment, considering this fact; he had never considered walking forever, though you could still walk around the capital forever as long as you took a circuitous root.

Elendil looked over at some other kids. He didn't want to make too many new friends at once so he stayed where he was at. "You don't have to worry about it just yet. You have a few years to go before you even need to think about things like that. The same goes for me. I'll be fifteen before I need to find a bride." The boy commented with a smile. "I hope I can find someone who likes arts as much as I do."

Yvette started to levitate. She didn't want to be on the ground anyone and flying was one of the ways he could stop it. Abbadon let out a sigh as he spread his wings and jumped into the air after her. "Vetty please don't levitate." He told her.

"Hi, I'm Lyndis Suncaliu."

Surprised when Orion continued, she listened with interest. She'd been to Reed's, which was the only island she'd ever stepped foot on, but she worked to imagine it being surrounded by clouds instead of water. The image made her smile, which she directed toward the sylph as she told him energetically, "That's sounds like so much fun!" She was about to ask about flying, when her attention was drawn to Yvette. Dropping one hand to her hip in a mimic of her mother, she spoke up. "Vetty, lunch is going to end soon, and you know you could get in trouble for that." Sparing a glance to the rooms across the field, she noted that a few teachers were opening their doors in preperation for the bell.

Looking at Elendil in surprise at the thought of getting married at fifteen, the princess took a moment to remember cultural differences. "I've got a long time. My brother is one hundred and fifty and he just got married." the princess replied, wondering about the lifespan differences between elves and Sylphs. She couldn't imagine getting married at fifteen, as she would still be, basically, a baby by her people's standards. "Maybe there will be someone at Reed's. My brother and sister said there were lots of royals there. And maybe they'll have an arts program by the time we get there." it was something to hope for, and she could keep up to date on the school by asking her sister; Rina's boyfriend was going to be a teacher there, after all.

Glad that this answer seemed a bit better, the prince smiled at the girl who was speaking excitedly at him. She looked ready to ask a question, one the young prince was prepared to answer, until her friend started to float. He looked at the group in mild surprise, finally turning his eyes back on Lyn.
"We aren't allowed to fly?" he asked, sounding slightly horrified at the idea. Rin had said that it would be a bad idea to fly, but never that it was forbidden.

"Hi, I'm Lyndis Suncaliu."

Shaking her head at Orion's question, she answered seriously, "It isn't that she's flying, it's just thats she's using her powers. The principal says that it could lead to a fight, and we aren't supposed to play with them yet." She shrugged, keeping her gaze on Yvette. The situation had been explained to her by her mother, so she tried her best to repeat it. "It could be unsafe to the others." It seemed that while everyone was so young, powers could be uncontrolable, and admin didn't want anyone getting hurt.

Elendil shook his head. It wasn't really like that. I was different then she thought it was. "No, fifteen is the earliest time that my future bride will be announced. We are a species that lives a long time, so we marry with the age customs of our partner. My older sister is married only because she married a man raised by human knights." He explained. He probably wouldn't know who his bride was until he was eighteen anyways. "Maybe I'll find someone there."

Yvette stuck her tongue out at her friends before coming down to earth. Abbadon's wings disappeared as they reached the ground. She noticed that it was time to get her butt into the classroom and started to walk with Donny at her heels.

Amira Josephine Windstorm, Third Daughter of the Basileus

It seemed that Amira knew less about surface people that she had originally thought, and she simply nodded. "I guess that makes sense." she was beginning to understand better, but she still didn't totally get it. She wouldn't worry about it too much now, she was only eight after all. Amira looked up as students began to head back towards the building, a slight frown tugging at her lips. Orion still hadn't returned. "Looks like lunch is over." she observed aloud, standing to brush of her dress. Collecting her lunch pail as well as her brother's, she looked at Elendil. "Ready to head in?"

Accepting this answer, Orion could see the merit in that. Most Sylphs could control their powers very well even at a young age, though there were a few exceptions especially among Fierce Winds, he chose not to speak up about this. Noticing that lunch was at an end, he turned his eyes back on Lyndis.
"It was nice meeting you. I have to go find my sister, but I hope I'll see you again." he smiled, giving a small wave before turning to move back through the trees. He found Amira right where he had left her, and it seemed that her new friend was still here. He took his lunch pail when it was offered to him, giving her a quick hug before turning to race back towards the school.

"Hi, I'm Lyndis Suncaliu."

After stickin her own toungue out as a response to her levitating friend, she smiled. An attitude from her friend usually meant she was feeling better, so Lyndis watched for a moment as Yvette and Donny left before turning back to Orion. She gave a wave as well, sure that they would meet at least once more; they were attending the same school now. Once their goodbyes were all finished, she started back towards the classes, taking Eowyn with her.
