Pushing herself off the wall, Danny followed after Yin, trying to hit anything pink. After all, Mitzi was the only one wearing pink! It was fullproof!

Except for the fact that they were ... BOTH wearing pink. Awwwkward. As she threw her foot out, she realized she was hitting the real one, but it was too late. Taking a step back, all she could say was, "Oooops." It didn't really have an meaning beyond "you hit someone," since Mitzi was only a friend. It wasn't the same as hitting say ... Rikki or Roch.

She noticed Yin begin to crumple up in the corner. Was he okay? She trotted over to the boil and said, "Yin? Buddy? Y'okay?" She patted him lightly on the back, but it was rather forceful. Oops.

Rikki was much more comfortable attacking once the ice had taken a form other than his ghouldfriend. He struck out far more blindly however, less able to tell the difference when it came to a person he was less familiar with. So blind, that he hit the wrong person.

The ice mimic let the Mitzi-guise bleed away and hit the icy ground, laughing hysterically. "Ahahahah! Hahaha, you're all so stupid, so stu-" A shudder ran through its body and the silver color crept further over. "Aha. Ha... haha..." Its voice cracked and wobbled, skipping bizarrely. "Y-y-you havenochan-chan-chan.... chance to sur-sur-su.... tosurvivemakeyourt-t-... t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-time-!"

It stared up, one eye gleaming an even more vivid blue before rotting skin seemed to cover everything. Then there were two Xanders... but one of them was wobbling strangely...

Each pat on the back from Danny just reinforced his fears. The first one seemed to say, "Oh trust me, I remember you attacked me," while the second one seemed to say "and you know that you will regret it." The mantodae seemed to shrink further and further into himself, petrified.

Then the creature took on a new form, a form he well recognized. Great Mantis, it had taken Alexander's form. He went on the offensive immediately, rage bubbling up inside of him. It had taken the form of both ghouls, and now it had the audacity to take on the form of his student?

He rushed forward, intent on his mission of destroying the thing. Alexander could take a hit, and he knew it. He had tested his limits before and the boil had stamina. But he had learned. Several small hits would be better than one massive attack, and he could use the first to gauge if it was the real enemy or not. He put his plan into motion, connecting and then his fist was halfway back again before his brain could fully process. Yes, that had been flesh he had hit. It was so light a blow it should have done no real damage, and he stopped before he hit again. "My apologies, I seem to be somewhat disoriented today."

Alexander shifted uneasily when the ice creature turned into him. As it turned out, he had swung a punch at the wrong Mitzi! Oops! But now, even though Danny was over by Yin and out of his line of sight so he was able to function a little more freely, and he knew the target for sure wasn't one of his friends, he felt a little weird about attacking himself.

That was, until Yin came up and punched him lightly in the arm. "Heeeeeeeey!" He gave the weremantis a bit of a sullen look. "Can't you tell the difference between me and a cheap copy? Look at it! It can barely stand upright! I know I'm clumsy, but seriously Yin? SERIOUSLY??" He may have been more then a little upset from the days events...

And with that he strode over to the copy-Alex, reached up, and gave it a shove into the wall.

Mitzi did manage to dodge the swing from Alex, but then Danny kicked her in the side of the leg, and as she was still regaining her footing Rikki punched her in the side of the head. "Watch out, guys!" She really couldn't say more, as much as she rather wanted to, because she herself had hit Danny when the mimic had taken the other ghoul's form. Still, it hurt, especially with them hitting her one after the other.

As hurt as she was, especially with the head blow, she really had no clue which of the two zomboils was her friend and which was the enemy. Figuring that Yin probably had a better chance of telling than she did, she started to go after the same one he attacked. The blows must have hit her harder than she realized, though, because she swung way wide, not even coming close to hitting either "Alex".

"Ehehe-he... hehehehe!!" The mimic's voice kept stuttering and skipping even as it cackled, throwing its head back as its Mitzi-disguise vanished. "Y-y-you... you will b-b-b-be... be takenTAKEN!" Its one glowing eye was nearly blinding now. "It will have you-y... y-y-y-y-you... twist you all... all up and t-t-t-t-wis...twisttwistwist your... your EVERYTHING! Hahahaha... ha..."

It turned its head to one side, much, much further than a normal neck could bend, then turned into Danny. The position it was in looked even more unnatural and creepy with the illusion of a familiar body applied to it. "P-p-put me out... out of... haha..."

As the mimic changed again, this time with Xander still standing in front of it, he smiled. He knew who was the mimic and who was Danny! He couldn't possibly miss! He backed up a little to gain momentum in his swing....

...and his skeletal foot landed on a shard of glass, causing it to slip out from beneath him. He flailed his arms as he began to fall backwards, and felt his body hit against something warm. Very very warm.

"UUUGGGHHHAACK!" he cried out, jumping away from the real Danny that he had stumbled into, eyes widened in panic as he moved as far away from her as he could while patting down his shirt and making sure he wasn't on fire. In his current anxiety, he began tearing at his shirt and flung it off of himself, just in case, so that he stood there in only his black pants and shredded tie. His green tinged body was thin and hollowed, and he stood there, shaking like a leaf.

Well, that settled it. He had hit both ghouls in the party and angered his friend. If it had been a different boil, or just a different situation he might have been angered himself, lashing out in retaliation. But it was Alexander, one of his two actual friends, and after he had already screwed up splendidly.

So he did the only thing he could really do as the mimic took on a new form. He drew back, shoulders hunched, hands in front of him to partially cover his face, and eyes downcast and wished that the creature would mimic him. If anyone deserved to be attacked it was him, an if the creature took his form he could attack without qualm.

Danny was about to chase after the odd, wobbling ... gross ... thing. She wasn't really sure what to call it anymore. It definitely wasn't Danny-like. It was ... it was ... Nevermind.

She was about to chase after it when she noticed Yin clinging to the wall pathetically. He definitely didn't look good. Very green. Was that just his skin? WHY DID EVERYONE HAVE GREEN SKIN!?

"Yin!" she shouted, "What are you doing! Go beat that thing up!" It was an order.

Then she took after the monster mimic Danny thing and threw a tiny fireball. Tiny, because she was getting tired, and her FEAR was reflecting it. All of this encouraging and hitting just wasn't doing her any good. The mimic froze the snowball, almost in slow motion and sent it flying right back at her arm. Ouch 8C

His brain latched onto the one lifeline thrown to him, a direct order from a ghoul. Rather than fight an order he simply allowed himself to go on autopilot. Face blank he stepped out and toward the creature, though he looked somewhat stiff and tired all at the same time.

He reached the thing and balled his fist, drew it back and started to swing. And then simply stopped. What if this was actually Miss Danny, and the mimic was trying to trick him? He stared at it as he lowered his fist, shoulders sagging in defeat. He could not risk striking her again.

Mitzi's head was clearing a bit finally, and with the mimic's head twisted around, she was pretty sure which one was the real Danny and which was the enemy. When she went to swing at it, though, it didn't take much effort on its part to dodge her, again. "Argh!" She felt so useless, she'd only managed to hit friends this whole time.

Look, he knew his ghoulfriend was awesome and all that, she was his ghoul after all, but seriously? This was getting a little ridiculous.

Instead of attacking he hung back, watching the mimic and how it moved, trying to look for weak points and a chance to really attack. He fingered his chains in preparation, but an opportunity didn't present itself. Hopefully it would change forms again soon.

The ice mimic stumbled forward and crashed into one of the closed windows; the glass shattered, slicing through the mimic's frozen flesh just as effectively as if it had been muscle rather than ice. Silvery liquid flowed freely, dripping onto the floor and freezing into odd, swirling patterns.

"M-m-m-muh... mu-Muh-errry Chriiiiiiiistm-m-m-m...mas, hahahaha," it crooned, hugging itself and staring up at the students. "I like your... y-y-y-your hat..." Color flowed over it once more and it took on Nyrikki's shape; as it did so, it straightened and looked more like the reaper boil, though every so often that tell-tale blue flash came from its right eye.

Alexander was still shuddering and completely shirtless after his accidental run in with Danny moments before. He couldn't do this anymore. He couldn't pretend to be brave so close to fire, and he couldn't put anymore effort into this fight then he already currently had.

And he couldn't sit back and watch his friend flail around like a scareling any longer just because he'd accidently hit a ghoul.

As frightened as Alex currently was, anger dwelled not far below the surface. Anger at himself for not being better at this sort of thing, anger at being so easily rendered useless by something so small. He drew upon this anger now, and heedless of how it might affect their friendship, directed it at Yin.

"YIN!" He bellowed, turning his gaze towards the weremantis. "I know you can do bettter then this! Now get over it and HIT THAT THING!"

Nevermind the fact that Alex at the moment was choosing not to go on the attack. He'd be the fearleader on the side, thank you very much!
