Black 1c3 If you mean itendedalready, I'm pretty sure I pm'd her back in January some time. If you mean Sindrellia, I haven't pm'd her o.o Perhaps I should? I mean, I didn't because it wasn't her roleplay, but if I should, I will. xD
Uh, I thought we were talking about elphy's Seeking a Fortune role play....? So far as I can tell, Sindrellia is her role play partner.

Awesome. So I noticed something while I was browsing at lunch. The roleplay directory needs to be updated every Monday/Tuesday. I say Monday/Tuesday, because I know everyone isn't on each day of the week.
Especially when we move role plays to the Junkyard, we need to remember to be taking those names off of the list. Each moderator should be doing this, and I will as well if I stumble upon it.
@Luin: Don't forget to create an office here in The Lounge, and then one in the Main Forum for the public to see. I'm forgetting something, I think but I'll remember later.

When we're getting responses from inactive members saying "Oh, sorry, just haven't had the time, I'll get to it as soon as I can." remind them to post that they are a bit busy in the Hello-Goodbye thread. That way when Silent goes to audit the inactive members, she'll have that last posting date, and I'll have seen that they are on a hiatus.

Alrighty! I have come up with a couple ideas to run by everyone. Spaniard has asked me to post them in here, so that I will do. These are both regarding ideas I would like to try to implement in the 1x1 sub-forum. I'd like to hear everyone's opinions on them.
Firstly, I think the time-limit for inactivity in the 1x1 sub-forum is really long. A month for a two-person RP is a long time! Usually, when someone hasn't posted in my one on one for two weeks I conciser it to be completely over (it usually is, even if we try and revive it). This is because a role play with two people completely grinds to a halt when one person stops posting. This is unlike in a group role play where someone can be ignored for a short period, temporarily taken over, or dropped completely without the role play suffering too much. One person in this case is half the role play and it really lets the other player down.
So I was wondering if changing this limit would be beneficial to promote activity. Especially because I know there are some people who love their role plays but are really too nice or service to contact their partner to get their a** into gear! I've been there. Oh, have I been there.
I was thinking something along the lines of a two week warning, then three, then month actually has some sort of repercussion. This piece especially is what I would want suggestions on. I don't know the exact time frame that would be most beneficial for role players nor do I know the repercussions.I don't want to make it too strict. I would rather the time frame be there for reminders and to help their partners not get stuck in a terrible stagnant rut.
Of course, extra-normal circumstances would always be considered. Also, any RPer could contact a mod and ask for stricter or looser standards given their availability. If they want it to be a month for whatever reason, it would be fine.
Secondly, and the one I'm most excited about, is search threads. As of now, there is a single thread for searches as well as individual threads. I don't like this, as it is cluttered. Having two separate ways to go about finding a partner is unnecessary. At the very least, there should be just one way to post searches. My vote would be on individual threads. This gives posters room to spread out and post about what they want. Then, when someone replies, they can focus on development or what-have-you in the thread itself without worrying about interrupting or blocking out other's searches. Beyond this, having one thread to post these searches makes it harder to find some people, especially if they joined or decided to start searching after many pages have been posted.
But I have an idea that I think might be cool. We would have individual search threads for members. These will be stickied on creation. After two weeks of this being up, I can contact the creator to ask if they are still searching.If they are, I will keep it stickied for another two weeks. The cycle repeats as long as the person is looking. If they are no longer looking, I will move the thread to the Recycle Bin.
This would serve several purposes. First, it helps separate the searches from the role plays themselves, since the role plays are already full and don't need to be advertized. It also helps remove clutter. People who are no longer looking will not have a thread up anymore so people won't get confused and think they have found a partner when the person isn't looking. It also saves the searcher from being needlessly contacted. Finally, if the searcher decides they want to start looking for partners again they can just ask to have the thread moved back. This way, they don't have to type up a whole new thread!
Anyway, those are my ideas. Let me know how you feel about them. :3

I agree that maybe we should send out maybe another warning before Silent sends out the initial monthly letters. But that letter would have to be sent out from the mod.
I like the second idea as it involves more crew-member activity and keeps everything clean. However this will only work if you are constantly active and able to keep up with everything.

Yeah. I wanted the first one to be more of a reminder instead of disbandment from the guild. But it is a little unfair to their partner if they post in other role plays but ignore the 1x1.
I'm active enough to be able to handle it. I would have changed the time frames if it were too often. :3 But I'm on every day (with a few exceptions) so I'm not too worried about that.

I'm a little iffy on a two-week limit. I think one 3-week warning and then one-month repercussion are sufficient.
Either that, or just have a simple one-month warning and then repurcussion the following week. One x Ones are always tricky bidness.
The only problem I have about the second idea is that if the thread creator edits his/her first post, the one with access to the title and poll, the thread will become unstickied. And then a Crew Member would have to constantly resticky the thread.
