"I didn't ask for this power..." ..I don't want to be a hero..." Yang Kaido
Yang finished eating, He felt sufficiently full, a feeling he hadn't had in a while. He looked to the woman who had shown him kindness and stood from the table grasping the towel she had provided and the spare clothes he had in his supplies.
He nodded to her before moving to the shower that she had designated. This place was a true apartment a private shower, a luxury he hadn't had in such a long time. He made sure the room was secured, a bad habit of his and undressed as the water heated up. As the steam filled the room he stepped into the shower, instantly he felt relieve the hot water relaxing his muscles. as the water matted down his hair, however, his mind remained restless.
He knew he couldn't stay in this place for long. He still had a mission that he needed to complete and though he was close, he still had much work to do. He needed to check the map. He knew this and would do it soon. The shower just felt so good. He could feel the layer of dirt wash away from his skin almost as if his very worries were travelling down the drain. He looked to that very drain and closed his eyes leaning his weight on one hand on the shower wall in front of him.
He finished, and shut down the shower. Dressed he walked out and back into the room. His white shirt was slightly matted to his body due to the moisture, the towel was wrapped around his neck his right hand using it to dry his hair. That was probably the best feeling he had in a while.
He searched around to see if the woman was still in the room, with no sight of her he assumed she must be looking for that James person and reporting his presence.
Yang reached down and grasped a folded paper map in his bag. As he spread it open it held a large map of the area. There were several red circled "X" marks around the area in a large incomplete circle. There were several open red circles still to be filled to complete this circle. As Yang bent over the table evaluating the map he stood and placed his left hand on his hip, using his right hand he scratched at the moist hair on his head.
"I suppose just a few days rest might not be so bad..."
"...I just want to end this ridiculous world..."

♦ 𝔄 𝔫 ҷ 𝔞 ♦ There was nothing here, absolutely nothing. Everything was dead, burned, ashes, dust, gone. A lone little girl stood in the middle of what appeared to have been a quaint little town at some point but that was but a memory. All that remained now was the burnt skeleton of what used to be, left as a reminder to those whoever passed by. The girl had a blank expression on her face as she simply stood there, staring at something in the distance. Suddenly, she smiled slightly and looked around at the foundations of destroyed buildings. "Why oh why am I here? I don't remember how I got here. Hm, perhaps a giant bird snatched me away from my friends and dropped me here. Wait. Do I even have any friends?" the girl said to herself suddenly as she brought a finger to her chin. She thought about it a little longer but couldn't remember too well. Instead, she tried to remember what her name was. "Anya! Yes, that sounds just about right," she stated as she twirled around. She suddenly stopped, the smile disappearing from her face. "I remember now. They killed them, everyones gone now. Those things ate them," she said darkly. Anya frowned before shaking her head. She couldn't do anything for them now and she needed to focus on surviving. Anya began to walk, leaving the dead town, still unsure of how she ended up there in the first place. The small girl walked for what seemed like forever before growing tired. She sat herself down on the ground and sighed when she noticed a crow perched atop a building. Well she thought it was a crow at least, it had the shape of one, but it was different. The two stared at each other for a moment until the bird spread it's proud wings and flew off. "Wings. Wings will set me free," she stated as she sat up. Anya concentrated when black wings tore through her clothes from her back. She cried out slightly from the pain of the wings being forced out of her body. Blood stained the back of her white blouse where the wings had sprouted but it quickly stopped. Anya admired her work before flapping them and launching herself into the sky.

Ѵɑɭεɳʈɩɳε Dεvεɽɑuҳ I'm at war with the world
A year... Wow. Val couldn't even imagine. A whole, entire year without people. But the other thing that caught her attention was his name. Sasha Mikolavich. Russian? It sounded Russian. And his accent could be Russian. It was possible. Probable. Not like nationality or heritage mattered much anyways at present...
And he caught on to the fact that she couldn't see. Why couldn't she meet a dumb one? Or at least a non-observant one? No, her first human in months had to know she was blind.
Sighing, she removed the sunglasses. "Not a bit. Not since... Well, you know. But I can hold my own, I assure you." Her grin was wicked, even as she 'looked' at hjim.
And I ain't never gonna sell my soul OOC: Hahaha, I figured. X3

"James!!! You will never guess who I bumped into!!!!"Sky said quickly and excitedly as she knocked at his door. She stood there in front of the door, waiting for a response. Her mind buzzed with questions. She wondered if he could stay, wether or not he would accept being a protector, what apartment he would get, if they would be friends or enemies. There very thought of him filled her with questions and excitment. She could not believe she had found the newest member. She had never found anybody before, just little memoirs of the past. Sky began to grow impatient, she had questions that needed answering, most of them to be answered by James. "James! Open up!" She shouted while banging on the door and tapping her feet, a smile clear on her face.( D: Why wont this damned writers block let me be!!!???)

♠ ʂɑʂԋɑ ♠ ɱïƙᴏʅɑʋïƈԋ ♠ Sasha could sense her discomfort when he asked whether she was blind so he was about to apoligize when the woman took off her sunglasses. Val then told her that she was still able to take car of herself which relieved Sasha's consciousness. "I bet you can," Sasha replied with a smile of his own. She was probably like himself, in the way that they were both mutated in some way or another. For Sasha it was physically obvious because of his unnaturally pale, almost white skin and red eyes. To top it off, Sasha had many scars on his body, the most noticeable and horrific one on his neck. It was a jagged line all around his neck that make it appear as if his head had been ripped off once then placed back on. The story was partly true, but his head had not come off, if it had he'd be dead right now. Sasha looked to the woman smiled a little. "Maybe it's better you can't see..." he said a little darkly as he looke off in the distance. If Val could see, she would see that Sasha's face was shaded by the umbrella he carried, a grim expression on his face.

James glared at the papers on his desk, they were all about the unknown leader of the Savages, Protectors from the East City think they came in contact with it. None survived, but one had the power of telepathy and sent a blurred image to his superior, and he described it to James in a latter. The few things he could make out in the vision were horns and a long tail, and the thing was huge. "Damnit." Her cursed aloud, then nearly fell out of his Chair when Sky came bounding toward she office yelling and banging. "It's open Sky, c'mon in." He cleared the papers into a folder and put them in the desk drawer. There was no need to scare them now, soon he must tell them, but now, let them be happy. His was looked worried but he manages to put on a fake smile and acted like everything was fine and dandy. "What is your news? Where is Theo? Bumped into?" Sky was adorable and kind, but at times....silly.

"I found one! He can fly too! He has this really weird fire thing that doesn't burn you when you touch it!" She explained quickly, but slow enough to understand. Her face was lit up like the sun as she spoke about him. "Though Theo doesn't think that Yang is a registered protector yet.... So can we register him? I also think we should get him settled in soon, he seems to really like it here!" She said with a wide smile, barely noticing her few feather falling down under her feet. This was all so exciting, she was the latest member, and now she gets to experience training another protector for the first time! It barely bothered Sky that she was shaking with excitment, or that her mouth had gone dry and her feet and hands began to sweat. This was all so big to her so she didn't have a care in the world. Then it hit her. "Oh! And he said his name was Yang Kaido! And he is fast and is really hungry. He is having a shower right now but he should finish right away, come on! You have to meet him! Sky said, wings fluttering happily as she beckoned him out the door.

he raised an eyebrow as she burst through the door and started almost shouting about some guy she found while on on patrol. Possible Protector, strong. He looked up to ceiling. If there were something up there, she was watching. He smiled, and let out a short sigh of relief and neatened up his desk a little. "Alright, lets go have a look at out new recruit." If he was going to join up he would have to take the oath and demonstrate his power, and a few other things. Its not like anyone could become a protector. He followed Sky to her room. Readying people on their way. He got the houser to prepare a room, and jack the trainer to get a medical team ready. If needed that is. Though James's power is cruel, he has a minor one which he uses for light combat which should be nice against the fire user. Ooc: Just thought of that. Yes he is somewhat op but he true power evens it out. So its ok. Anywho, I'm going to bed. Night all. Thanks so much for joining and posting. So happy the rp has taken off like it has!

"I didn't ask for this power..." ..I don't want to be a hero..." Yang Kaido
Yang searched the map, in all reality there was one major open circle left. He could get there from here...maybe two miles North of this encampment, the major problem of this plan was getting back to the center to fill in the last area and complete the map that he made. How was he supposed to get back. When he left that place it was overrun with Savages, he had barely escaped with his life. He brought his right palm up just below his head and looked down at it open and gloved with his fingers out. Finally I can use this cursed power and end this ridiculous world...if this works...then I can expand it to the world
Just as his thoughts began to get the best of him he heard activity picking up in the hallways, it was heading his way. He quickly folded the map, the furrow of paper furiously sounding off and yet drowned away in the cluster of noises. He placed the map back into the bag and tied it shut wrapping the cord around it's opening and quickly throwing the leather jacket over his shoulders and quickly lunging his arms through the sleeves. He took the bad and shifted it underneath the sofa bed that was folded out, not neccesarily to hide it being that that was a terrible hiding spot but more to take it's attention away from other's there wasn't much of value in the bag. 2,000 american dollars, valueless paper in this day and age which started off as 20,000 that he used to start fires, a couple of shirts a few pairs of jeans, some MRE's, but most important were three objects, a zippo flip open lighter with an Azure Phoenix burned into it, a picture of with a young group of children, one of them eerily familiar looking, and the lastly, the map which held some secret beyond what he had revealed to any living soul. The treasures are what he wanted to protect.
He looked to the man that entered shiftily. He refrained from saying a single word until the man spoke.
"...I just want to end this ridiculous world..."

sky stepped beside James with a smile. "Yang, meet James! Well, and vise versa! Oh, and don't worry about James, he's to nice to hurt anybody to bad!" She said the last part with a smirk and a teasing punch to James' shoulder. Once when she had first come here she was a bit on the completely bat-s**t crazy side. At night she tried to kill Theo with the accustation that he had stole her lucky charms, a valid accusation seeing as they had gone missing from her cupboard and he claimed to love the cereal. To the murdurous Sky's dismay she was also molting then, so she left a trail of feathers behind her as she headed to Theo's room. James ordered that she was not to leave her room because of her level of sanity so he came and saw the trail. Sky could remember hearing him running to Theo's room to see Sky smothering him and screaming "Where's my cereal!?!?". He then nailed her in the back (Enough to knock her out) and brought her to the psychiatric ward. Ever since she has been needing to take pills so that she wont have another episode. She then stepped into her room and into the kitchen. "Anybody want some tea?" She asked excitedly with a smiled as she place the kettle on the stove. She didn't think James would call in everybody to meet Yang, so that bugged her a bit in a way. She thought it would be just him coming over for a chat with Yang. (I bolded the back story-story so that you all could tell the difference!)

♦ 𝔄 𝔫 ҷ 𝔞 ♦ It was amazing, she felt completely free. Anya soared in the sky, spinning about occassionally before finding a comfortable pace as she flew. Her black wings were spread out as she soared, her wings occassionally flapping to keep her in the sky. As she flew, Anya looked across the landscape in search of something, someone, anybody. She flew for what seemed like hours which drained her energy so she had to begin walking again. Just as she descended to the ground, the ruins of a city came into view and it looked like it was being inhabited. "So the world still lives. What was once thought to be dead still lives on in a meager existence," Anya said as she landed on the ground. Her black wings folded neatly behind her back for her to get rid off. Anya simply stood there taking a hold of one of the wings. "How do they come off," she mumbled.

Ѵɑɭεɳʈɩɳε Dεvεɽɑuҳ I'm at war with the world
Val's smile turned less vicious and more friendly. Many people didn't believe she could, in fact, take care of herself. But she could tell he, actually, for once, did. It was a lovely change of pace.
But, as to it being better that she couldn't see? The thought sobered her. Val had always loved art, loved reading and those were things she'd had to give up. People could read to her, if they were willing (so far, that would be no one), and she didn't know any braille. But... She'd never see again. Good things, ugly things, indifferent things... Never again. "I'm not sure if I would say that. I'd give up a lot to be able to see again," she said, half to herself.
And I ain't never gonna sell my soul OOC: Hahaha, I figured. X3

♠ ʂɑʂԋɑ ♠ ɱïƙᴏʅɑʋïƈԋ ♠ "I'm sorry, please ignore me," Sasha said with a smile. He turned back to Val, his mood a little brighter. Now that he had met a survivor, it was a possibility that there were others somewhere. If they were lucky, they may even find a type of settlement where they had gathered and maybe even rebuild some of civilization. Sasha knew this was wishful thinking, but it never hurt to hope. The sun was beginning to set, the night approaching fast when all the ugly things began to crawl out of their hiding spots to venture out in search of food. "I think it would be best that we begin traveling..." Sasha stated as he looked to the horizon. ooc: agggh, my posts are getting shorter and shorter -.-

Ѵɑɭεɳʈɩɳε Dεvεɽɑuҳ I'm at war with the world
Val tuned back in to the world around her, including Sasha. "Naw, ignore me. I never know when to keep my trap shut." She reached a hand behind her, finger-combing through her long, black hair. "Yeah, we should probably get moving. Actually... Where am I? It's a bit hard for me to read signs; I kinda just end up wandering aimlessly..."
And I ain't never gonna sell my soul OOC: Same. :/

♠ ʂɑʂԋɑ ♠ ɱïƙᴏʅɑʋïƈԋ ♠ Sasha laughed a little and began to walk. He looked at her when she asked where she was prompting him to look around. Sand, and more sand was all that he could see, there was nothing out here. "I'm not too sure myself. I think we're in a desert," Sasha replied. The two of them walked into the quiet desert, nothing out of the normal when suddenly, the ground rumbled. Sasha stopped, feeling something amiss. It was like an earthquake, just like last time when that Savage had appeared from the ground. "You might want to step back," Sasha said as he reached for his gun. Suddenly, the ground collapsed from beneath them which forced Sasha to drop his belongings. "Tch," Sasha muttered as he lost his gun. With his weapon lost, Sasha had no choice but to use his powers to fend the monster off. Sasha believed that there was only one of these things, but how wrong he was. Just as the first one disappeared underground, another appeared to attack Sasha and Val.
