Tim stopped, looking between her and the one she was carrying. It was clear what had happened and it was written all over her face, plus the fact that she had covered over her comrade the way she did... Robin's face kept it's sincere expression. The volume of his voice lowered, hoping his words couldn't be picked up by whatever devices the Joker sprinkled throughout the area. The more he could manage it, the better.

"Have you... faced up against this psycho before?"

Tim had no intent on leaving, especially if the people already here didn't have the experience to back them on what they were getting themselves into.

"No..." Alex replied quietly. "Sapphire has mentioned him before, but I don't think she's ever actually fought him." Her grip on Shadow tightened a bit, and she had to do her best to keep calm. She didn't need to put puncture marks into Roxanne because of her claws.

Tim's staff was low to his side, and he allowed his cape to fall over the front of his uniform. This suddenly took away most of the color from his appearance, save the dark green mask over his eyes. Robin kept his voice on the down low, and his words sped a bit through his response.

"If you haven't noticed by now, he's a lunatic. Even if his demands are met, it's unknowing what exactly he'll do...."

Tim paused, scanning the area again before returning his attention back to her.

"...are you on your way out?"

If her answer was a 'yes', he was hoping she would consider staying away herself. He knew what it was like to loose friends.

"He just wants this 'Gossamer'. To be honest I don't care what he does to her." Alex replied in a growl. She paused a moment after he asked if she was on her way out, then looked down at Shadow. "Yeah. I want to get her out of here before anything else happens. I just can't leave her in here."

Arell growled as he sucked on his lucky strike and checked the radio signals. Looking for anything. He could have easily called the police, but he knew his way of dealing justice would have every smokey in the tri-state area gunning for him if he gunned down the Joker. However, he did need to get information.

"Breaker Breaker, dis here's de Swamp Rat. Kin any'un out dere gimme de 4-11 on some dude callin' hisself de Joker. Any'un out dere? Over." he growled and put the CB mic down and waited.

Tim nodded, his eyes switching back to the limp figure that was over her shoulder.

"...Name's Robin."

He looked back to her, unsure of who 'Gossamer' was himself. He only knew that what Joker was doing had to be stopped, before more people were killed.

"Joker's not just for anyone to deal with. It takes certain understanding, preparation and to an extent- 'experience'."

Tim didn't know if she caught onto what he was driving towards.

Although Robin wouldn't know it, the Boy Wonder had nothing to worry about with sound receptors along the park; with as much amplification as the PA system was putting out, it would've been counter-productive. However, a a custom-made wide-band auto-scanner radio, another relic left behind by the late Tinkerer, came to life behind him as Arell tried to get through on his own radio. The clown didn't know it was Arell, but he really didn't care all that much. Chuckling some more, he picked up the reciever on his set and said into it, "Swamp Rat, I'll give you the 4-1-1 myself. I. Want. Gossamer. And I will kill anyone who tries to keep her from coming to me. So go tell whoever you have to tell that the Joker wants the little witch herself to stop flirting with every cape that comes along and come here so she can get the killing she deserves! And do it now, before something bad happens to you. Something very bad." He put up the reciever, picked up the whole radio (in case the moron decided to call again), and took the whole thing to where the other panels were. Now everything was in one place.

Arell smirked. The maniacal voice on the other end sounded like the Joker from the movies. He still had a little extra time to call his bluff. He picked up the mic again.

"Well, I reckon you da Joker, son. 'Cause I was just about t' aks you t' get on outta where yo' hidin' an' surrender yo'self. Otherwise, I'm comin' in an' stoppin' dat laugh fo' good. I got a case a' beer an' plenty of shells. We can do dis all day. Back."

Arell taunted. He was back across the street in the truck. He didn't know Gossamer, but he knew a criminal when he heard one, and he was determined to get him to come to the even playing field. He took a can of beer and opened it, smirking at the trash talk he was handing to the Joker and taking a drink. He was either going to do two things. One, get the Joker, or two, get drunk.

A bright green streak soared across the sky and, after a few moments of hovering over the park, landed lightly in the park's interior.

"Aw, crud..." Carlie Jordan said, taking just a second to realize that she was, in fact, all alone.

"But who...?" she asked herself softly. She had gotten an invitation here, but... from who? Where was everyone? She could use her ring to locate people here, but that thought hadn't crossed her mind.

"I, uh... got an invitation to this place... somehow..." she said feebly, knowing no-one could hear her.

"You reckon right," the clown said into the speaker, which he had grabbed up again upon hearing 'Swamp Rat' respond, "And coming out from where I am just so that some hillbilly redneck can take a few potshots at me just doesn't sound like a good plan from where I'm sitting." He was deliberately trying to make this 'Swamp Rat' make a wrong move and get himself killed by making him mad.

Arell was keeping a pretty cool head. Hex, Dundee, even C.J. would have gone in at that remark.

"Well, me goin' in dere t' laugh t' death don't look good t' me either. I should warn ya though, I don't miss, clown boy." Arell growled. He was trying to get the clown to come out and face him just as bad as the Joker wanted him in to die. He drained the beer.

"Now maybe we can settle dis face-to-face. I can either get ya t' dat 'Gossamer' person or blow ya brains out. The only question is you man enough t' take the gamble, or yellow?" Arell challenged.

"If I had a penny for every time I heard someone say that they didn't miss, I'd have at least a couple extra dollars," Joker said back to 'Swamp Rat', smiling to no one, "And don't bother playing to my honor. I don't have any." His eyes were watching the cameras looking for a clue as to the mystery radioman's identity, but then he saw Carlie's arrival on another camera. "Sit tight for a minute. I'll be back." Putting up the radio again, he grabbed the microphone. "It would appear we have a Green Lantern in our midst! And don't even bother with the surprised look; if you've seen one Green Lantern, you've seen them all. Just go run along and join up with the rest of the prople trying to figure out what to do like headless chickens, outside the gate, and while you're at it... TELL THAT WITCH GOSSAMER TO GET THE F*****G HELL INSIDE SO THAT WE CAN HAVE OUR LITTLE SITDOWN!" There was no mirth in the Joker's PA-amplified voice as he temporarily lost his temper. However, he soon recomposed himself. "Of course, if you don't want to do that, you might as well just crawl off and die, because that's what any other course of action you take here will result in." Putting away the microphone again, he apparently just now realised that his little outburst had happened in front of Rosie. "Pardon my French. Don't repeat that to anyone. Except maybe your mother."

Carlie jumped a bit at the sudden shouting on the intercom, and she had no idea who it was. And who the Hell was "Gossamer"? Wasn't that some sort of gemstone or something? But then she realized...

If you've seen one Green Lantern, you've seen them all ... You might as well just crawl off and die, because that's what any other course of action you take here will result in...

"Really?" she said in a soft tone. "Well, this guy's messing with the wrong Green Lantern..." With that, she began to walk around. She didn't know the full extent of her ring's capability, but then again, it was powered by her willpower... and her imagination...

So, all she had to do was think of a possible command for her ring that didn't involve using a construct. Such as, say... Locating people who shouted at her so she could kick the crap out of them and send them to jail. However... She decided against that. Instead, she simply used her ring to scan into the radio waves, locating the frequency Joker had used.

"Hey, loudmouth..." she said, speaking into her ring, and her voice came out of the speakers in the Joker's room. "You think you're funny, or something? Trying to scare a poor innocent girl like that? And cursing, too? What're you, eleven or something? Wise up, dude."

As the Lantern's voice emerged over the radio, which meant that Arell could also hear her, Joker grabbed the reciever for it, and responded with, "Oh, I'm sorry, did I scare you? Did I? GOOD! HAHAHAHA!!!"

"Only a little bit. Don't count on scaring me so easily again..." Carlie said, and in truth, she didn't seem rattled at all; she actually seemed rather bored. "So... What do I call you? 'Lousy comedian'? 'Poor B-horror movie wannabe'? What?"
