Iah smiled and shook his head knowing that Amy didn’t particularly believe him but that was okay. However he knew she also didn’t like the subject so it would be the last time he mentioned it. He hoped the comfortable atmosphere didn’t die, although it occurred to Iah he would just have to try a bit harder to get it back.

Iah stopped and tilted his head to the side. No one had actually asked him before to be a father figure before. It was a great honor to be considered, or at least it was to Iah. “I… I would be honored to be their um… male figure that they look up to” Iah finally stated knowing that he needed to say something soon. Amy already seemed like she was nervous asking him. He briefly wondered was it because it was him and she wasn’t entirely sure or was it because she thought he might have said no?

She smiled at the answer given to her, relieved he not only agreed, but also he seemed actually alright with it. She smiled, letting out a sigh when she realized that everything was set. All she would have to do is get pregnant.

It wasn't such an embarrassing topic now that she thought about it. There wasn't any reason to be afraid, or even nervous. Xiu Mei had promised, she didn't have anything to lose. She wouldn't raise the kids or even have to acknowledge them, though Amy would tell her babies about her if they asked. It was slightly lonely that she realized the 'Phim viewed it as repaying a debt and also pissing Exodus off, but she would swallow her exceptations and pride.

"Thank you. I know it's a huge favor." Most would have expected her to pick Tenma by how close they were. But no, Iah... She wasn't sure why she wanted him.

The rain let out a shrill shriek as the wind picked up, her ears pressing back. It always messed with her senses when the storms raged, her nose and ears rendered useless. Uncomfortable, the vixen couldn't even smell Iah, the scents of nature being turned about masking everyone's scent. Nervously, she pressed closer to the warmth she felt, relying on Iah for once to keep her calm and safe. It was times like these she really noticed how, no matter what she did, that there was moments where she needed to rely on others.

Iah considered her reaction and came to the conclusion it was probably more about she was afraid he was going to say no than not deciding she wanted to ask him. He briefly wondered why she had asked him, but came to the conclusion he really didn’t care all that much.

He looked out at the storm and knew that they would be here for at least a few more hours. On top of being an animal and a shaman one of the things was being in tune with the weather of all things. The storm would probably also get progressively worse; however they didn’t have to worry about the storm flooding the cave. He wondered how Amy was feeling since the storm was pretty loud. However he was distracted by her talking to him again.

“Its not really that big of a favor. I like helping my friends when ever I can, and you seem to really want this. I feel more honored that you would trust me with helping to raise your children than anything” Iah answered turning away from the mouth of the cave again to look at her.

Iah, however got his answer earlier about the storm and Amy answered as she pressed into his side. It must be a bit terrifying having even more senses in chaos due to the weather. He unconsciously shifted himself to share more of his body heat and to take away some of the breeze coming in to the cave. Hopefully that would help if just a little. He hadn’t really tried to comfort some one before, as most of the time it was Zillah comforting him when they where little. Then as he started to find out who Iah was he tried to be more helpful.

She smiled when he spoke, though it was shaky. Her head raised as he moved, and suddenly his warmth met hers. The warmth was comforting, calming her slight tension and panicked heart. She relied on his warmth as the storm raged, quietly content with his company. Slowly, she drew her tail around her form, eyes closing to attempt sleep. Just for now.

However, she couldn't sleep. Her enhanced hearing made the winds louder than most, ears ficking backwards as she sensed the winds pick up. She sighed gently, paws folding lightly.

"Tell me about your sister." She whispered. Family. She missed her mother, badly. She missed the only family she had, and it showed as a longing escaped her mouth. What family did Iah have? She knew of his sister, but not who she was. She was curious. What was his family like? Why had he left her side for this tribe? What drew him in?

He watched her as the storm raged on and noticed she was trying to at least attempt sleep. He knew that when other senses where lost others grew in order to make up for the lost ones. Modifoxes had pretty good hearing to start with and he wondered how the storm must have sounded to her. Probably very loud and very annoying since the storm was loud even to him. If she was afraid of thunder or anything like that it must have been even more terrifying.

He wished he could use magic to raise his body temperature to supply more heat, but unfortunately that wasn’t one of the ways it worked. He couldn’t use his own magic on himself only to heal others or manipulate already in existence elements.

“Tell you about Zillah. Well….she’s a very smart and strong willed girl. She tries to get along with others and for the longest time ‘dumb’ed her self down to make others like her. Then she met her mate and really grew as a fox. Zillah was always very loving and protective. She was always there when I needed. She looks just like me as we’re twins, although maybe because of personality reasons we never had that special twin bond others some times talk about.” Iah mused wondering what had brought this on.

She cringed briefly as thunder roared, though not of fear. It was too loud, she admitted to herself. Iah began to speak and she listened, smiling slightly. Even if they didn't have that bond he seemed fond of her. It was endearing. Tail flicking only once to hint at her amusement, she shifted briefly.

"Are you happy you choose Yasashii?" She questioned. She was enjoying this, learning of him. Perhaps he could ask questions, too, but she wasn't counting on it. There wasn't much interesting about her, minus being blind and yet a great hunter. She was proud of that, actually.

“Although I suppose I’m also a little jealous of Zillah as well” Iah commented, while he had grown as well and gathered friends he was very close to and a tribe she still had two very loving mates and beautiful children. It was probably the reason he didn’t visit as often as he should. He had been planning to visit though as it was rather ridiculous how long he had waited.

He tilted his head thinking about her question. He hadn’t really though about it before, as his whole joining had been rather comical. He had wondered away from Zillah for the first time and gotten rather lost when Embry had come tumbling down from out of nowhere and slamned into him. “hmmm I would believe so, its helped me grow out of my shell and I have very dear friends like you and Embry here” he finally stated.

Amy was startled as he called her a dear friend, ears flicking in surprise. What was she to say back? Her head raised, tail flicking before a small smile touched her mouth. She was happy, she realized, though unsure why. Tenma had said this before and even Kithara, yet she hadn't been this happy before.

"I am glad you joined, too." She admitted quietly, ears flicking. She was, honestly. He was a kind person, and calmed her uneasy heart. Perhaps one day he would find someone, but until then perhaps she could rely on his company time to time.

His heart quickened just a small amount as she smiled at the fact he had called her a close friend. He didn’t think she was offended but then again you shouldn’t always assume anything. Maybe one day he could even introduce her to Zillah, if Zillah ever decided she wanted to meet up with him, as his best friend.

He absent mindedly reached up to his ear and realized his earring was missing. Ah that was right he had decided to take it off earlier today just in case he actually got around to doing some work. It kind of felt weird not wearing it. Amy spoke again and drew his attention from his lack of accessories. “Thank you” He said sincerely letting the smile carry in his voice again.

The sound of his voice drew a content smile from her lips. "You're welcome." She responded, ears flicking briefly as the winds grew more violent, louder. Carefully, she shifted her paws to fold them, listening to the winds quietly as she relaxed against Iah.

"What do you see outside?" She questioned, head tilting towards where she felt his breath coming from as to hear him better. She asked this question to Kithara and Tenma at times, questioning her ability to remember what sight was like, and questioning her ability to "see" without eyes. Still, this was different. She could not imagine the storm, and her senses cut her off from creating a mental image of said storm. She imagined something violent, murderous, and yet she could not draw this.

Sometimes, she wished she had been born blind so she could never remember the days she had sight. Perhaps she was jealous of her friend Boniface at times.

The storm picked up again and Iah wondered how bad it was going to get, he could see if he could feel the storm but it was almost a wasted effort and would drive him insane counting down the minutes. Better to try to enjoy the time spent with his friend or something else distracting.

“hmmm well not to much, just a bunch of gray and rain pouring down. Occasionally a lightning strike will hit close to where we are.” Iah stated wishing there was something more impressive he could tell her about. Most of his vision was blocked by the bush that was keeping the rain out of the cave for the most part. “Mostly it’s the wind and sound that makes it seem more impressive than it actually is” he stated and then thought about if there was anything else he could really tell her. “Guess I can’t really tell you much more except for the bush has a reddish bark, although not too many leaves still on it.

He wondered if he could use his magic to maybe lessen the sound, he had only really used it to heal others and play with elements already in existence.
PostPosted: Mon Oct 22, 2012 6:10 am

[[ I had a cute idea. What if he lessened the sound, or tried, and when he was done he noticed she had fallen asleep using him as a pillow? ]]

The blind woman nodded in response, attempting to piece together the image. It was getting harder these days. "Ah. It seems it is getting harder to remember what things look like these days. Even so, thank you." The woman smiled faintly, letting out a small yawn. Ah, maybe she should let sleep happen.

Still, she wished for the storm to silence so she could manage sleep. Perhaps she was too tired to care, though. She hadn't realized exactly how worn out she was until, well, now.

Iah looked at amy and let a sad expression cross over his features for a few seconds. He wished she hadn’t lost her sight but then at the same time if she had kept her sight she probably would have never met him. It was a weird feeling he didn’t really like thinking about all that much, besides his current project of maybe directing the wind away was more important.

There was too much rain for him to really try to get rid of but he could push the wind away just a few feet it wouldn’t hit the cave walls and howl all over the place. With a deep breath he closed his eyes and concentrating at least bringing the sound down a little bit. He wouldn’t be able to do it for long periods of time but maybe enough for them to get some sleep.

Suddenly his attention was drawn to his side and he let out a small chuckle noticing that amy had fallen asleep against him. He moved his body once again so he would be more comfortable and went back to staring outside the cave.

[[ You can do a time skip if you like. ]]

The silence, while pierced by the wind, was enough. His warmth and comfort did not help matters, either. This man brought a calming sensation from her, something so rare. He was strong, in both ways, and sometimes she felt like he was strong enough to support her were she to rely on him. It was.... Strange.

This comforting sensation made the storm seem less frightening, less threatening to her senses and her being. She always was terrified when her senses were cut, seeing as she already had so few to begin with. Yet, sleep welcomed her as the wind seemed to die down, and slowly her head slipped into his shoulder and body went limp into his side.

This would be the first night in months she didn't dream of nightmares.

[I pretty much have last post I'll just right a closer and we can slap close on it]
Iah looked down at amy and smiled seeing as she finally fallen asleep. It was weird how things happened he supposed. He wondered briefly what he would be doing if Embry had never caused him to fall down that hill and roll into yasashii territory. Then again it wasn’t really important in the long run of things.

He raised his body temperate to help with the cold factor, glad he knew he could at least do that magic wise. He hoped the storm didn’t last for days but he was pretty sure at least by some time tomorrow they would have a break in the storm to where it would be feasible to get back to the tribe. As much as he enjoyed having alone time with his friends he didn’t want the others to worry.

However that was hours away and right now he was busy watching the storm and watching out for his friend next to him
