Akiza smiles and said "You hungry?" She could smell breakfast cooking. Usually she would cook but she had to rest her leg as much as possible. She then smiles at him sitting up and getting up with his help.

Akiza smiles as he walks next to her. Once they werin the kitchen e sits next to Drake and one of the ranch hands said "Hey Akiza once your healed should enter the race. Your friend here is new but I think he might like to cheefor you." Akiza then giggles and said to Drake. "Once a year anthros from all over the county gather around here to race and try to win some kind of prize. But I'm the fastest person here and the toughest according te ranch hands." SHe then giggles and said "When is it?" "It's two months away still but I though you mightlike to join us and plus I'm quite curious as to how fast you can go. Of course all those who have an animal form are able to enter but this year it's girls only." THe ranch hand said. "Well I'll show you just how fast I can go." She thenlaughs with him and as they ate breakfast Akiza stole glances at Drake from time to time.

About a month later, Drake and Akiza were fully healed and Akiza was practicing for the race in her cheetah for. There was a track for the horses on the ranch and her aunt said she could use it to train since it was the same distance as the race. She was racing against Kyle, a Tiger anthro, she was fast but like all cheetahs it was only for a short amount of time She had mastered the jumps easily and they were coming intothe home stretch. SHe had been practicing none stop since her cast came off. Akiza then passes Kyle as she had reserved her speed strength for the home stretch and she had already signed up for the race.

Akiza then decides to take a breakfor a while and decided to go for a walk thinking about what was going on with Drake. She knew he was shy but now she thought he was avoiding her. She then sits by the lake on the dock and was in her anthro form. She sighs and wondered what could be wrong with him. She hoped he had not forgotten about the promise he made to her the day she moved. "I will always be your friend no matter what." Were the words he said to her before they said good bye for twelve years. "Drake what's happening to you. You said you wanted to get to know me yet your never around unless I call." She said and had a tear fall down chcheek.

Akiza smiles and pets his head. She then turns into a cheetah and lays next to him purring. She then nuzzles him and lays her head under his. "You know you can always tell me what's wrong. I would understand why your so upset if you would just tell me." She said and licked his cheek. She then lays her head on his front paws.

Akiza then smiles and walks next to him saying "Well I liek you too." She then licks his cheek and runs ahead saying "Cant catch me." SHe then runs ahead and giggles as she runs.

Akiza then speeds up as they reach then end of the trail and passes m finishing in a tie. She then turns and tackles him into the grass and laughs as they roll to a stop. She then lands on the bottom when they stop and smiles up at him licking his cheek.

Akiza follows him and smiles. As soon as she was in her room she goes to take a shower and does her hair and make up. She couldn't wait for her date with Drake. Tonight was the annual barn dance and Drake had asked Akiza to be his date. She was so happy and couldn't wait. Once she was dressed she comes downstairs with a dress on since it was a dress up type thing. Kyle and Drake were the exact same height and body size so he let Drake borrow one of his outfits. Akiza waits for Drake while her aunt does some final check ups for Akiza. The guys were all whistling at her and trying to embarrass her for fun. SHe knew they were playing and smiles when they whistle.
