Ganymede tried to remember when the last time he'd seen a youma so big was, but couldn't. Most of them were small fry compared to this. The last time he'd even been in a battle of this caliber had been when? Elysion? That felt like such a long time ago. More a dream now than it had been then.
He had just released the next rock from his hand when the giant youma raised up and slashed at the ground. His throw, of course, went off kilter and didn't strike, and the ground suddenly gave an awful lurch and seemed to open up beneath his feet. Ganymede fell with it, shouting in alarm and smacking his head against a stray piece of debris, clinging hard to the ground to keep himself from falling further.
s**t.

Leo was knocked down and got some bruises! Magellan got trapped under some rubble! ... and Gilbert got squished to death!
The battlefield was a cacophony of noise and it was difficult to tell who was attacking where, and when. When the giant youma struck the ground, Leo was close enough that he felt the tremors through his legs, rattling up and shaking his ribcage; he stumbled, fell, striking his elbow hard against rubble and rolling across the ground as it shook and bucked beneath him. s**t, damn it, ******** --
He staggered to his feet, having lost his mask somewhere in the confusion, and focused on darting back and out of the way for now. Around him, people were being crushed by rubble, some trapped temporarily and some --
He couldn't think about that, though. He had to focus on stopping the youma's assault, or they would soon all be little more than blood and bones on the ground.
--
So much for her brave, valiant attack. Magellan might have managed to get up and hit the thing once, but as was obvious, she was in way, way over her head. As she sprang back up to attack the youma again, it lashed a giant claw out, something akin to a cat that was swatting at flies; it hit the ground and shook it, just as she was landing back on the ground again.
It was impossible to get her balance. More than that, it was impossible to breathe -- somehow, she'd not only lost her footing, but been crushed beneath debris on the road.
Gasping for breath, she curled her hands into fists and prepared to push the rubble off her.
--
And his efforts were largely in vain. Gilbert had one brief moment, full of perfect clarity, where he remembered why he never tried to look out for other people above himself -- and then in the next moment, a portion of the ceiling cracked and fell down, pinning him beneath it and driving both the breath out of his lungs and the life out of his body.
It was a strange feeling, really, suddenly being separated from himself; he hovered there, an ethereal shape composed more of glitter than man, and had a moment to scold himself:
Good job, Hennessy.
Then, he shifted, moving effortlessly through the air, and he realized that he hadn't escaped the battle at all. He was still here. Everyone was still fighting.
Well good goddamn, if this was hell, it was worse than fire and brimstone. Was he really going to have to sit here and watch everyone else die?

Europa locked eyes with the green-eyed general and felt bile rise in her throat. The dark aura bubbling off Fluorite was enough to make her eyes water, and now that they'd made eye contact a confrontation was going to be unavoidable. Europa steeled herself for a fight, right first drawing up to her chest--
And then the ground fell out from under her. Europa caught herself with her elbows, barely keeping herself from falling completely into the sinkhole and biting her tongue hard enough to earn a mouthful of blood. She spat and began to kick frantically, trying to dig herself out - this was going to take some time.
When the ground split, Babylon was already mid-leap and there was nothing he could do besides pray he landed safely on the other side of the new chasm. Luckily, he did, and as soon as his feet touched ground the first thing he did was look around for wounded allies.
They were everywhere. Babylon gritted his teeth and played a quick game of eenie-meenie-minie-moe in his head before heading for the powder-blue senshi closest to him who'd managed to get buried - Magellan, although Babylon didn't know her name.
"Hey, hey," yelled Babylon, digging through the rubble. "Are you alright? Can you hear me?"
Keren had apparently run far enough away that all she felt was the tremor of the attack, although a column close to her fell to the ground. She glanced back towards the battlefield - and then she kept running. There had to be a good hiding place here somewhere!

The attack jarred even him, he staggered and fell, bruised but little the worse for war he gritted his teeth and turned to offer a hand up to the Lieutenant who had fallen near him. Her blond hair close cropped and her eyes intense.
Howlite, he had heard her name before. Everyone here, he would remember their names, the ones who lived and the ones who died. What they did, who they fought, it would all be made note of as vital for days to come.

Howlite hadn't been the only one to carry a bit of the Great Youma inside her, and as such, she was just as surprised as some of the 'good guys' when the earth began to crumble.
One knee hit the ground, hard, and she was sure she fell something bruise a rib, but she was alright. The blonde glanced up, then, to find a gloved hand.
"General-King," she responded, in thanks, allowing herself to be pulled up. Despite the way he caught her attention, there was a battle at hand, and they both quickly turned to the enemy.

[Virgo, Avalon, Gunn, Marienrode]
Virgo didn't see the Great Youma's attack coming; nor was she prepared for pieces of her home to start falling on her. Her ankle was caught underneath and she scowled that they weren't on her own Outpost, where she could heal it quickly. But then, the presence of the Negaverse at all might have been enough to destroy Virgo Outpost's healing properties for all time... So it might be best in the end. She wrenched herself out from under the rubble and grabbed onto a piece of it, hefting it up. In just a second...
----
Avalon Page hated her life. She'd just been off tending to more mirrors when suddenly, a ******** monster was attacking, and she just--what even in the hells was she supposed to do?
It was going to take time to work herself out from under this rubble, but at least she'd been caught in an impromptu triangle of stability. Nothing felt broken, at least... She hauled herself out and stripped off the ruined tunic, dumping it to the side. At least the collared jacket under the tunic was untouched.
----
Eternal Sailor Gunn skittered away from the falling rubble. Haha, bitches were not even s**t. Not even a trailing piece of bow got caught under that bullshit. She would take her award now, thank you, she thought with a breathless laugh.
----
Marienrode threw herself backwards, easily avoiding the falling rubble. What the hell!! "Oh, dear," she whispered, crabwalking backwards out of the thick of the battle.

Mary saw the dragon and the people on top of it, and her mouth opened in awe. A dragon... a real, live (mostly), dragon. She watched it for a few more moments before the crowds began to move and she was shoved in the back of the pack. She let out a growl of defiance and pushed her way to the front, narrowly avoiding the enemy. Lilac eyes stared hard at the dragon and she fell into a battle stance.
Imaginary wings snapped open and imaginary tail lashed back and forth. As the dragon sunk its claws into the road, a snarl rolled out of her, teeth clenched and upper lip curled back. The claw was raised and slammed down. Rubble went flying, everywhere.
Her attention snapped straight to Raven and Mary moved faster than should have been possible. Feet carried her and she skidded to a stop in front of Raven, back towards the dragon with her arms out for bracing.
Something told Mary she was about to die. Not that chaos had come to kick them in the a**. Not because she was out in space. No. It was something else. She must have rolled badly, or perhaps her type was just up. Somehow, somehow Mary was at peace with that. She'd finally found a girl who she honestly enjoy her presence, and had fallen for in the short span of a month. She'd found friends who didn't turn her away. She was completely happy for the first time in her life.
Dying wouldn't be so bad. Maybe... maybe she'd end up in the right body this time. Or at least, able to watch over Raven until the end of time.
Dying is just another grand adventure, Mary... Arga whispered to her softly in her mind.
She looked at Raven and shouted, "RAVEN I REALLY LIK---"
Mary felt the rubble connect with her neck, she heard a snap and suddenly didn't feel anything.
The fifteen year old gryphonkind's eyes widened for a split second before she exploded into a shower of gold spark, the rubble landing on the ground hard.
And so ends the living tale of Mary "Arga" Tunith.
----
Jarosite knew the dragon was no good. He jumped out of the way of the rubble, glancing around for his General and making sure none of the senshi got through. His heart did clench a bit as he saw civilians, civilians he didn't think should be here, explode into sparks.
God damn those senshi.
God damn this Surrounding.
The Lt broke out into a snarl and clenched his fists. He was going to give them a beating. Regardless of his fear of the dragon. He was going to fight just as damn hard.
"You'll pay senshi... you'll pay.' The sound was muttered under his breath, but his silver eyes blazed with his feelings.

Sugilite dodged the pitfalls.
Already moving, pressing into the fray, Sugilite jumped to the side, grabbing at the nearest person and carelessly, viciously pushing, using them to propel herself out of any danger. She didn't bother to see who it was, friend or enemy, it didn't matter. Nearly skipping onto the solid ground, a light laugh escaping her. This was fun. This was exhilarating. The youma had left her head, but she was still filled with bloodlust, and the sharp cries of people falling, trapped, filled her with a feeling of fizzy bubbles, almost like champagne. Why, Sugilite reflected, she was quite nearly giddy.

[Saving roll for Pasiphae: 2 = Trapped!] Pasiphae watched the creature attack with a look of horror, and nothing could have prepared the Senshi for the impact that she felt as rubble buried her. It came so quickly, so suddenly, that she didn't even have time to warn Ganymede or Europa... but as she fell, she saw the rubble overtake them as well. And then, as rock fell around her face, she saw nothing at all. No. No, it wasn't supposed to go this way. It couldn't go this way. She struggled beneath the rubble, desperately trying to escape. Not for herself. But for her fellow Jovians. For all the other Senshi, Knights, and allies fighting beside her. For all the civilians. She couldn't be powerless any longer; she couldn't! There was no time for doubt. No time for insecurity. No time to wait for someone else to do the protecting. Her power... her gifts had to be used too! Along with her desperation, she could feel a surge of energy building insde of her, more powerful than anythiing she had felt before. It reminded her, vaguel, of the first time she had ever henshined, so many months ago, but even more powerful. This build up demanded to be released, and Pasiphae was happy to comply. She surged out of the rocks just as the energy surged around her, transforming her with its strength. The one who emerged from the rubble was not the same Senshi who had been trapped originally. Super Sailor Pasiphae stood amongst the rocks and looked direvtly at the approaching Benoitite. Oh yes, she remembered him clearly too; perhaps one of her gravest errors in all of her battles had been in beating him up so badly... and of being too late to stop him to begin with. She regreted it then; she regreted it still. But now? Now there was no time for regrets, and she made this apparent as she spoke to him, blocking his path to her fellow Jovians or any of her allies, "I will not allow you to hurt anyone else... not again." (Upgraded with permission. <3)

The destruction was widespread, but left and right, senshi, knights, and negas were picking themselves off. One senshi, an eternal, almost flew from the rubble, kicking it in their direction.
With a grunt, the blonde deflected a portion of it, hoping to minimize the damage.
