Ren nodded in agreement before taking her attention off her surroundings. Did Mirage just lick her? She let out a slow blink wondering just why the rainbow stripped vixen had done so. It was something she wouldn’t put past Kuari, but that was just his way of showing friendship. Xesani might have done it as well but it was Xesani’s job to take care of her, or at least it was before Ren sent her out to have her own life. Hmmm so why had Mirage done it.
“We aren’t being seen as a threat or in the way of a kill” Ren replied bringing her attention back towards the surrounding area. “You can tell by the subtle change in the air and smell on the wind.” Ren replied.

"Ren." She suddenly mused, looking at the vixen. "What do you do for fun, other than train?" Ren was a serious fox, she noticed, and perhaps she needed someone to lighten her up, just a little. She didn't mind if Ren was serious with others, however, just once, before Ren left and she had to tend to the garden again, she'd like to see a smile directed at her.
Her ears flicked when a butterfly fluttered past, eyes watching it. Good. Butterflies were a good sign for the garden.

Hmmm what did Ren do for fun? Well that was an odd question. She liked training and fighting but some how ren was pretty sure that Mirage wasn’t looking for that sort of answer. “Hmm I guess I like mediating in the garden, and trying out different human dishes, I like milk a lot” she also liked to do crazy things like playing mudball fights with Xesani and jumping off cliffs, of course safely.
“Occasionally mudball fights, only I guess the mood has to be right” Ren replied and shook her head. She looked up at the butterfly before pushing away from the meal, “you done?” she asked. If mirage wasn’t truly that hungry then since they had both gotten their fill it would be best to hand the kill over to the tiger.

"Yes." Stepping from the food, she flicked her tail once, humming to herself. Mudball fights, huh? Well, she could be done with that. Padding a little ahead, she turned her head back to grant Ren another smile.
"Say. On another one of your travels, bring me back a seed, okay?" She questioned, humming to herself once more. "If you get the chance, of course."

Hmmm so Mirage wanted a seed did she? What kind of flower did Ren want in her garden? It was mostly Chinese inspired flowers and plants. So what one was she missing? Suddenly a smirk crossed her features and she turned towards her companion. When learning how to fight you needed to start endurance training right.
There was one flower/fruit Ren had been dying to get her hands on, the fabled Queen of the night flower. A gorgeous white flower that only showed its blooms when the moon was out. Of course if you went way further down south it wasn’t so rare but in these parts it was a bit of a challenge to find. “hmm how about you come with me to get a dragon fruit se ed.”

Eyes flicking up to meet Ren, she nodded gently. She wasn't to sure what to say in response, mostly surprised that Ren would even offer to take her anywhere. With a pleased smirk, the vixen nodded.
"I would enjoy that. I haven't left this garden since the day I started taking care of it." She purred contently, kneading the ground with her paws. Well. She was going on an adventure! Only, when? "When would you like to find this seed?"

“Hmmm well you can only get the seeds when the flowers are open, and the flowers only open at night. The flower is still a good distance from here and we do have to go through a dangerous jungle. I suppose we should leave right now. After all the Queen of Night is only in season for just a few more days.” Ren mused.
Wait she had never left the garden. Sure Ren had come by and checked but Ren had gone all over the place. She had hunted visited with Xesani, met up with walker. Seriously this girl needed to get out. Sure Ren was serious but being cooped up in a place for so long wasn’t good. She didn’t want a cabin fever induced gardener.

Pleased, the vixen nodded, tail flicking side to side. "Let me make up a makeshift watering tool first, so the flowers can get water when they need it in case it doesn't rain. Then we can be off~" Padding quickly off, she found the stash of bottles she had found around the garden and filled them with water from a nearby puddle, flipping them quickly in each patch of flowers so that the rim was inside the dirt, though the water didn't come out completely, staying inside the bottle.
There. It'd slowly drain during the days they were gone. Pleased, she clipped a bush of flowers with her nail quickly before returning to Ren.

Ren shook her head as Mirage ran off, the likelihood of it raining was high and her plants had gone a lot longer with out water. However it was good Mirage was putting so much effort into something at last. It was better than her state when they had first met. Ren waited for Mirage to return before turning around and trusting the striped Vixen to follow her.
Hmmm now the question is what way should Ren take them? Should she go the way she would normally go and see if Mirage could keep up or should she start with a slightly earsier route. Well if Ren was in Mirage’s shoes she wouldn’t want to be underestimated so the normal way it would be. Besides if Mirage was lagging Ren could always veer off and go an easier path.

Smiling brightly, the vixen was almost purring. Ren was trusting her as her traveling companion! This thrilled her. She was glad that she had ventured from that desert, it meant meeting Ren and going on adventures~
However, she hoped that they wouldn't meet any pesky boys. It almost... worried her. Ren falling for someone.... ick.

Ren looked back at her traveling companion and raised a slight eyebrow before looking at the path in front of them. She didn’t think she had ever seen Mirage that expressive in days. If she hadn’t watched it in Kuari and some times Xesani she wouldn’t think some one could look that content and tail wagging and then switch to a slight frown as if a nasty thought entered their head. She was starting to think foxes where interesting perhaps she would observe a couple for a while. Now however she wanted to get that dragon fruit.

"You didn't meet a boy and fall in love with him, did you?" Mirage suddenly blurted, her thoughts getting the best of her as she glanced over at the other. Gah. Was it weird, her question? Would it gross Ren out or make it obvious? Perhaps, though she could play it off as genuine curiosity.
Still.... if Ren said yes she had a feeling her little heart would sink. Perhaps crumble. Though, Mirage never expected much of her little...

Ren stopped in her walking and turned to face her companion. Well that was a rather interesting question to ask. It made Ren start to wonder, after all one only asked that question for certain reasons. Now the bigger question was should she answer it. After all what was the whole harm in it? Hmmm at least nothing Ren could see.
“did I meet a boy and fall in love…?” She repeated and trailed off pausing for a few seconds. “No, none of them where good enough” was the reply. Well good enough in the sense none of them had ever caught her eye….ever

OH. Well. That pleased her beyond repair, tail wagging rapidly and happily. Good. She'd murder anyone try- Wait. No, she wanted Ren happy, right? Of course.
"Poor boys." She cooed, her tail couldn't help but twitch in amusement, shaking her head gently.

Ren raised an eyebrow at the reaction Mirage had to her statement. In fact Ren still found it strange that she had asked in the first place. However she supposed Mirage was leaving here and would want to know if some lover would drop by. However Ren also had a sinking suspicion that wasn’t the case.
“Yeah I suppose so” she replied. Suddenly a rather large grass and bamboo entered their path and Ren suddenly looped her tail around Mirages. Mostly as a way to keep the other girl close. “Big cats like hiding in this kind of territory. It’s best to link up and not get lost with each other. Unfortunately we’re going to have to go through it.” She replied.
