Benjamin heard people in his shop and stepped out of the back room. He smelled of roasted almonds and... well, something else that smelled different to everyone. He walked behind the counter and smiled at the two kids. "Hey kids, is there anything I can get for you?"

lore looked up to see the smiling man in front of the counter. She fidgeted a bit.
" A cat would try and eat a Pygmy Puff right?" She turned towards the man, hoping the answer was at worst a maybe. She doubted this would be the case, however.
"Oh, and could I be allowed to help out around here ever?"

Rick smirked as he looked over some of the things in the shop. Maybe he could get his brother to eat some of the Ton-tongue Toffee? It would certainly ensure that he would get some peace and quiet for a while. "You know, that would be kinda bad if one did. They're not too bad." He continued to peruse some of the different things, though he made it a point to grab some self-inking and spell-checking quills while he was at it.

Benny chuckled when the girl asked if a cat would eat a pygmy puff and said, "Probably. It looks like food to most birds, so, I'd assume so." He shrugged his shoulders and gave her an 'I'm-not-sure' look. When she asked if she could help around the store, he gave another chuckle. "Maybe when you get older. I've got two helpers already, well, they're more like partners..." He yelled towards the back, "But they're probably still sleeping!"

Lore listened to the man, feeling slight disappointment with each answer.
" Okay, thanks!" She felt it would be rude to have him go through this trouble without getting anything for it, so she quickly went to find something to buy. She saw the Darkness Powder, and walked back to the man.
"How much does the Darkness powder cost, Mr...?"
She looked back at Rick and smiled at what he said, nodding.
She turned back, laughing. " Maybe they should be introduced to some coffee."

Rick rose an eyebrow at the older man at his descriptions of his help. "Coffee could work, or they could get a kickstart like an old muggle engine. Usually works on my mum's old scooter." He then eyed the Canary Creams and dismissed them quickly. Nah, that'd make too much of a mess, and his mum would kill him. He then looked back at the Ton-Tongue Toffee and shrugged, also grabbing a piece. Hopefully his dad wouldn't be too annoyed, right?
