Daniel climbed out of the car and trotted off to the side to give ShadowHound room to change into his full robot form. "He and Starscream went at it earlier, so Ratchet fixed him up and I gave him a new paint job. You like? Maybe you could try a new style," he joked, looking up at Optimus. Of course, even if he was joking, he would gladly give Optimus a paint job as well.

"Starscream? Well.. I'm glad your alright." Optimus said as ShadowHound transformed. He looked at Daniel. "Thank you for the offer, but I like the paint job I have know." Actually, he hadn't changed one bit since their arrival on earth.
"Permission to speak sir." 'Hound asked as he shifted his weight a bit.
"Permission granted old friend." Optimus replied.
"Sir, I want to change my job to a scout." ShadowHound said.
"If that Is what you want." He said.
'Hound nodded. "I'm not a close range fighter, I never have been. That's my brother's area of battle, mine Is defense, I realized that today when I fought that decepticon. He almost killed me but WarTrail stopped him." He explained.
Optimus nodded. "Then from his day forth, your job now Is a scout. You may chose one partner, autobot, or human."
ShadowHound glanced down at Daniel before kneeling down. "What'da say lad? Want to be my partner?"

Daniel blinked twice. Sure, he had come to support ShadowHound with changing his job when he came to talk to Optimus, though he never figured he'd be brought into the conversation like this. Of course, he didn't even have to think about the answer before nodding. "H**l yeah~ Partners 'til the end, got it?" he said with a grin.

ShadowHound smiled. "Thanks buddy~" He said before lowering his hand for Daniel to claim on.
Optimus watched them for a moment before turning back to Lexxon and the other main members on NEST, they were talking about the Decepticon's recent attacks.

Daniel grinned wider and jumped onto ShadowHound's hand, looking up at his new Autobot partner. "This... is going to be SO cool..."

ShadowHound chuckled and stood up, he left the hanger and walked around the giant base. Out In the distance was the ocean, the sky was clear and the sun was warm as always. "Earth Is so beautiful." 'Hound said with a smile.

Daniel nodded in agreement and stared out at the ocean. "I love the water..." Then he glanced up at ShadowHound. "So are Autobots and Decepticons able to go into water like the ocean and whatnot? Or do you short circuit or something? I forget..."

"We don't short circuit, the metal used to form our bodies Is water resistant. The only thing here on earth that can harm us Is rust and electricity." ShadowHound replied as he stared out at the ocean.

"Ah... Well that's good to know." Daniel said with a small grin. He looked out at the ocean again and crossed his arms as his grin faded. "... When do you think we'll be rid of the Decepticons for good?..." he asked out of the blue.

ShadowHound thought for a moment. "I guess... when we kill them all." He replied before carefully sitting down, the ocean was still In view. "But this war has gone on for so long, I'm beginning to wonder If It'll ever end."

Daniel sighed but nodded, sitting down as well. "Well... I guess we'll just keep fighting until the end... I won't just sit by and let these Decepticons wipe us out along with the rest of the earth..."

ShadowHound looked down at him and smiled. "That's why I chose you as my partner, plus your a pretty cool human and my best friend." He said with a smile.

Daniel looked up at ShadowHound and returned the grin. "Thanks. You're not too shabby for an Autobot," he chuckled. "Nah, I'm kidding. You're amazing and definitely the best friend I've had. We'll take down these Decepticons one day, just you wait."

ShadowHound nodded, he stood up and walked around the base for awhile. He was telling Daniel about cybertron and what It was like during the war, 'Hound had never seen cybertron before the car since he was born during It and how me and his brother almost died while fighting a bigger and stronger decepticon. "It was a hard time lad, thankfully Optimus and the others took us In." He said with a smile.

Daniel nodded and crossed his arms as they headed around the base. "Well, you're here and that's all that matters. So what are we to do now?... By the way, where are WarTrail and Bumblebee? Shouldn't they and the others have gotten back here by now?"
