I cannot believe that this is Gaia and really no one has suggested airships. They've become... really big in Gaia, yes? Not to mention the sheer awesome factor. I'd love to see everyone on a luxurious (or not) airship, either stolen by pirates or navigated by royalty questing for some forgotten beast.

A question
that i may add to the co-host application
but is here for anyone to answer:

if you were a character in one of the proposed ideas for the room theme (on the first page) WHO would you be??
meaning: if you were chosen to be a co-host and had the liberty of making your own character out of the setting, what would you make?

My Airship Idea (Questing Royalty Ver.): The navigator, a high-ranking, over-educated official in the Royal Air Navy (Airforce? Navy?) who wishes his position were cooler. If the captain is a woman, masculinity crises may occur.
My Airship Idea (Pirates' Stolen Luxury Liner Ver.): The kidnapped bard who doesn't find piracy particularly objectionable.
My Airship Idea (General Pirate Ver.): A crew member with a lute and a fondness for looting the wenches' bountiful booties. Maybe also a gun. A gun-lute?
The Spotted Court Idea: A clever entertainer, equal parts bard and jester. As likely to help people towards the correct end as he is to send them into horrible danger, because he just likes messing with people. He knows the way out, of course. Not that he's going anywhere. Something of a human version of the Alice in Wonderland Cheshire Cat?
The Spotted Mystery Idea: The shady guy with a lute in the corner, who is full of random knowledge on the surroundings and may or may not want to kill everyone nearby.
Robin Hood: A handsome, devilish thief. Kind of a rogue/ladies man type of deal.
The Robayn Court Idea: An illegitimate son of the king with a major problem with his ruling half-brother. Likely working in the court, possibly as a gentleman of the court. Or a guy who merely thinks he's an illegitimate son, and really does have issues with the poor little boy. Inbreeding madness likely. Frequent duels unavoidable. Generally awesome, but with a ridiculous Achilles' heel, like being terrified of stairs, or hallucinating pink blob monsters. May spend his time fighting monsters that simply are not there.
Pirates: A handsome, devilish entertainer with sticky fingers and a penchant for busty, lusty pirate wenches.
The Fairy Courts: I think we've seen the trend. I'd cast myself as some sort of dubiously malevolent entertainer or a ladies' man (they're the typical characters in these situations I'm best suited to). Or both. Both would be ok, too. Always male, because I've found that real male roleplayers are too rare to force to play as girls (and besides, my manhood may be flexible, but that's just asking too much of it). In the fairy court, I'd be willing to be androgynous, though. Kind of like a pretty-boy/lady-boy type thing, which is something that would happen in those courts, if this idea came from the book I think it did.
My poor, fragile manhood... Annual User-Run Ball, I will sacrifice it for you! ...but I'd rather not... sweatdrop

Oh la la! La Spotted Mystery Idea! You, sir, have done your research! XD

Yes, I can't believe none of us mentioned airships, now that you mention it! I guess we could do a castle in the air, looted with pirates... XD

I love all your ideas! I think the illegitiment idea is hilarious! Stairs and pink blobs-phobia! XD

I try to read all the pages of things before posting in them. Well, aside from the ball. I'd be dead before I finished all the pages of a room in a ball.

Airships are awesome! I love the idea of a castle in the sky. It could fall apart every so often.

And thank you much! You've stroked my ego! Want a cookie?

I loooooove airships!
But I do believe that princess angelisha is planning on doing airships for her theme, possibly even pirates too, so we may need to be a bit careful with that idea in order to keep each room from overlapping the others

You have great ideas for the court. I especially love the illegitimate brother (G.R.R.Martin might have me in the habit of calling him a b*****d xD) because it's been done before but not quite in that fashion! It would be an entertaining twist.

YESYES! MY COOKIE! XD

Yeah, we could have the climax be the castle falls apart, but since the airship was a gift from an alien in 1496, we have no way to fix it, thus having a crossover with a more advanced time... XD LOVES!

Robayn- Ooh! a pokeball!

I have just checked Angel's room and they are definitely doing air ships (fitting for the flying dream.) So airships are definitely out guys, sorry.

Well, airship is out, but what about medieval floating castle, which was a gift from aliens? We can still use court and mystery and pirates, and it's just a tiny bit randomer? Any thoughts? (You don't have to like it/do it.)

*discreetly erases all memories of airships from Angel's staff*
So... airships!

Anyways, since that's out, we could head back to the sea...
Or, even more randomly, we could reverse it and have water blimps or something. It would be hard to be a BA pirate in a blimp...
We could manage, yes?
Or just normal ships. I'm sure the people in this room are awesome enough to manage to convince the Gaians that regular ships are actually cooler than airships. We could have a floating castle, too!

As for the falling apart, I kind of thought more just a humorous sort of "oh, the brick I just stepped on fell out... maintenance?" thing.
But making it be a climax would be cool, too. I think that we could do better, though... like finding a mythical creature.

Lol, I just saw this. Thank you. You get a cookie, too. (What am I going to do with cookies, anyways?)
I'm glad you like my ideas. And I was going to call him a b*****d, but I didn't want to be yelled at... now that you've done it, though, I think it's fine XD

And yes. A male roleplayer. A male roleplayer of dubious masculinity, but a male roleplayer nonetheless. Tackle, bait, and all.
... a claustrophobic male roleplayer!! *bangs on sides of pokeball*

I'm really liking that floating castle idea. It sounds so mystical! That's basically what I think when I hear high adventure something mystical and really high from the ground xd Maybe it could be something like UP, balloons could be picking up the castle. But, maybe it tore apart some ground along with the castle so we don't have to be locked up inside the castle during the whole flight emo

Okay, this is my idea that I'm picturing from all of your contributions plus some:

An isthmus (for those who aren't all about geography, that's a thin THIN stretch of land [usually fine sand] between two large bodies of water) stretches between two seas - [name] night and [name] day. Dayside is bright, sparkling blue and green waters that stretches far and wide at the base of great, golden mountains. The peaks are crested by clouds which rain down pleasant, warm rain onto the mountains, which then funnels together to form a majestic waterfall. Nightside is dark, bottomless waters that have no end, becoming one with the night sky which sparkles with white and amber colored stars and a constant, violet aurora borealis.

Following the isthmus leads to the castle itself, which appears to have been lifted from the ground by a mighty, colourful army of balloons tethered by magical ribbon. Stairs of the land itself remain attatched to the castle in the sky, sand stairs from the isthmus, rocky stairs to the emerald forest beyond, and even water slides from some of the ramparts into the oceans below.

Having the oceans is for pirates, if we have pirate co-hosts, the emerald forest is for the Prince of Thieves, and the Castle is for the Queen and her Knights.

I like the scenery bit a lot. It's absolutely beautiful. My only concern is the number of sub-themes... in order to do it well, we'd need a ton of characters. I think we need to do Pirates vs. Navy or court or a queen and a prince of thieves come to steal her heart (literally, for a disturbing, dark twist). Trying to combine that many ideas runs the risk of losing the roleplayers' suspension of disbelief and overwhelming the writers and artists, causing a loss of detail. I think that since Angel's room is so solidly pirates, we should send our love to the court ideas and the Robin Hood idea, especially if we have a castle in the sky. Otherwise we're going to step on their toes, and I somehow doubt that we want to be that room.

Maybe instead of balloons, the whole castle could just be supported by that staircase? That would be fascinating to draw, and would be visually stimulating. Plus, balloons are generally a pain in the [DONKEY] for artists, and a repetitive one, at that.
