His heart raced at her words, about to tell her that she didn't need to do this for just him, but then she mentioned her wanting the children. Smiling wide he wrapped his wings around her, pulled her close, and whispered: "I love you, too, Cloud."
They would one day have children, and they would have a bigger family. Turning to look at the side he wondered if this was what Cinder spoke of, letting them be for this moment?

Cloud truly was the happiest Phim... besides Prelude that is. She blushed more. "B-before we do anything... Should we go somewhere a little more... exclusive?" She knew Cinder wasn't a kit... well she was.. but not a normal one. She was a little worried that Cinder might see them. She fidgeted thinking about it.

Prelude didn't understand at first, and then..... His eyes widened. OH! Oh! She meant have..... sex. He hadn't meant now! He wanted to be perfect for her, too! What if he didn't perform right? Would she laugh? No, this was Cloud, she was to sweet. She'd never laugh at him.
But what if she did?! That was when he passed out.

There was only silence. "Prelude?" .... She waited. Nothing. "Oh no!" She panicked now. "I killed him! He wasn't ready!" Cloud's eyes started to water and she was an instant mess. She sob as the tears fell. "Cinder!!" She went to go find the Perma. Maybe she could help. "Cinder!" She skidded by the kit. "I think Prelude died!"

"Wah?" Cinder had been collecting little glowing rocks when she heard the outburst, spotting Cloud running to her. Her eyes narrowed briefly, glancing back where Cloud came from. Then, she moved forward, spotting Prelude and approaching him, briefly poking his face.
"...He's breathing." She commented. "What'd you do to him?" She asked, poking the male. She looked over at Cloud, eyebrow raising.
"Did you hit him?"

"No! Why would I ever hit him!" She sniffled and sucked up the tears. "I.. was telling him.. I wanted to have more kids...." She blushed bright red. "Is he going to be okay?" She laid down by the still unconscious Prelude. She was worried. "What should I do..." She rested her head on Prelude and looked at Cinder.

She eyed him, quietly thinking. Well... maybe if she...
"Huuuuuah!" With a violent smack, she hit Prelude with her tail on the chest. Prelude let out a cough, eyes opening wide in shock.
"GAH." When he woke he felt pain in his chain, staring at Cinder then at Cloud. Whaaaa? What just happened? Moving away he looked at Cloud.
Oh no!
"I-I didn't pass out because I don't want kids! I swear!"

Cloud frowned as he backed away like that. "I know.. It was my fault... You just weren't ready." She smiled weekly and stayed in her spot. When Prelude was ready she knew he would come to her. "Thank you Cinder." She looked back at Prelude. "Are you ok?"

Her tail wiggled, realizing they were talking about "grow up" things and glancing away to play with her stones.
"I am ready, just.." He looked up at her, touching her paw. "This is the first time I got to speak about kids with a mate. I don't want to be bad and make you leave like..." He trailed off, ears back. "If you left me because I was a bad mate I would fall apart."

Cloud looked at the floor and shook her head head. "It's the first time for me too." She was felling hurt right now. She didn't want to feel like this. She loved Prelude with ever fiber of her being. Maybe she was just being too upfront? What hit her the most was the thought that he could make her leave. It was impossible... She knew it was... She thought Prelude knew too. "Prelude, Cinder,I'm going to go out for a bit. I'll be back..." She didn't say when, because she didn't even know when she would be back.... But she could never be far from Prelude for too long. So she knew she would return. She was about to give him a nuzzle, but he probably needed some space. So she left, her tail dragging on the ground.

He watched Cloud leave, about to call out for her, but stopped. Had he done something wrong? Had he failed her? His ears went back, head lowering. He had. He had done something wrong to her. Cinder didn't respond, she just looked at him before leaving into the darker parts of the cave. Prelude? He just sat there, ears back.
He moved away, moved to the corner of the cave and laid down. He was a bad mate. He had made her sad when all he had wanted was to comfort her, to tell her that he wanted to make her happy...

Cloud found their first date spot. Why she went there she didn't know. She sat by the edge of the springs and looked at the petals drift around. Why did this feel wrong... She loved Prelude so much. Then something hit her harder than anything else ever had. She just left him... She was just like Daciana! "NO!" Out frustration she yelled out. She wasn't like her! She didn't want to hurt Prelude, She didn't want to she the pain in his eyes again. Not ever again.
She got up and quickly flew back. She found Prelude in the corner and she pounced onto him and clung. "I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry..." She was already crying. "I left you... like she did... and I promised I never would... I'm so sorry." She buried her head deeper into his fur. Her fits of tears made her shake. She wasn't worth him after that... She just hoped he didn't hurt him too badly.

At the pounce of Cloud his ears went back again, going stiff. As she sobbed and spoke his body relaxed, ears relaxing as well as his limbs. Why was she apologizing? He was the one that had made her sad.
"It's my fault." He reassured her, resting his head on her shoulder. Like she did.... "You aren't like her." He whispered back, twitching. "That's why I'm so nervous. If you left I would never find a new star. You're the one I want, it would make any love stricken fool nervous."

She just clung. "I'm sorry if I hurt you..." It wasn't his fault. It was hers for over reacting. She was the fool. "You're the one I want too..." She looked up at him, eyes still watery. "And you are no fool. I was for even leaving this cave with out you by my side." And she meant that in more ways then one, sure they always weren't together. But they always were in spirit. When she left... It didn't feel right.. cause he wasn't there... Cloud shook her head... she was thinking too much again. "I love you... We will have kits when we are ready." She was then, she will always be ready, she just wanted him to be too.

He paused in thought, looking away, then back. "Then," He said, looking back at her with a small small. "How about now?" He asked gently, touching her cheek with his paw.
He couldn't think of anyone else who be more perfect, and, the reason he couldn't because there wasn't for him. Cloud was meant for him. He was meant for her. It was just how it was. Yes, in the past he was hurt, but now he was grateful. That hurt had led her to him, his lucky star.
