For the longest time, I would not allow myself to read any of the DC comic books because of shows like "Super Friends" and other kiddified shows like that. I liked Marvel because I thought they dealt with more realistic issues than DC. I liked Marvel because I thought they had better heroes and villains than DC.

Then I started researching Oliver Queen for this role play when my brother showed an interest in playing (which turned out not happening), and I fell back in love with DC. The Green Arrow showed me just how mature DC Comics is, and then I started reading others, and now I am 50/50 again.

Looking at my comic shelf I think I'm about even in terms of what I own. In terms of stuff I've cosplayed Marvel is comming out on top. Though I'm not really sure that counts since its three different versions of Nick Fury
