Ieyasu sat back on his heels, a semi-circle of assorted items scattered around him. On a short walk earlier, he had noticed a note in the Community Centre looking for various items. And he had reckoned that he might have something somewhere that could help. So, now he was upstairs in the bedroom rooting through one of the storage trunks.

Osusuki poked at a discarded sweater, sticking his head into one of the openings. Crouching to his belly and folding his large wings tightly to his back, he crawled into it, trumpeting playfully. This was nice and soft and snuggly! No room for wings though.... Twisting around, he wriggled his way back out again, before prancing over to Ieyasu to see what he was doing. He chirruped, nudging at his guardian's knee curiously.

Pausing with a thick strip of blue cloth in one hand, Ieyasu twisted around to glance down at the gryphon. "Oi. Just what are you up to, hmm?" He grinned at Osu, giving him a playful nudge back. He had found what he was looking for anyway - hopefully the length of cloth he had found would be good enough for Inle and Marli. Standing up, he moved back over to the ladder. "Right; let's go deliver this, yeah?" He climbed down the ladder, pausing at the bottom for Osu.

Chirruping loudly at the returned nudge, the Aerandir trotted over to the hole in the floor. Crouching at the top, he prepared to make his descent. Like everything else that he did, Osu's method of navigating ladders was extremely noisy. With several loud thumps, he launched himself down the first few angled rungs, before jumping and using his wings to slow his landing. With a flurry of feathers, he landed on the ground at the base of the ladder before trotting over to Ieyasu. He trumpeted once more, before spinning and careening over to the door. Let's be off then!

Alyosha was almost running as he got to Ieyasu's home. He walked up to the porch and quickly deposited a long bamboo staff and a note right in front of the door, flat on the floor. He then fled back to the centre - he had only a little while before he had to be at Ar' Idil docks.

Hurriedly written note

Dear Ieyasu,

This item is for Osu, please let him touch it. Don't be worried about the consequences - it's natural. I'll be back tommorow if any help is needed.

The staff and note lay on the porch for some time after Alyosha had left them - obviously, no-one inside the house had been aware that they had had a visitor. In fact, it was not until Ieyasu decided to slip outside for a smoke that the items were discovered. The young kitsune opened the door, a cigarette clutched in one hand and his long hair tied back loosely. Spotting the long staff, he stared at it curiously for a moment, wondering where it had come from and why it had been left there. Ah... there was a note too. Barefoot, he took a step forward onto the wooden decking, crouching down to pick up the note.

Meanwhile Osusuki, eager to get outside for a little while, had been prancing about Ieyasu's legs as he waited for the door to open. As soon as he could, he bounced forward onto the patio... and right next to this big stick! ...That was new. Why was it here? How had it gotten here? This required investigating. Chirruping noisily, he poked around for a moment, before nudging at the round green pole with his long beak.

Consequences? Ieyasu glanced up from reading the note to see Osu already nosing at the cane. An amused thought flashed through his mind. 'Please let him touch it...?' Leave anything on our doorstep, and he's got it before I've even gotten a good look at what it is...

The next stage!
As the curious gryphon poked the large, green, staff he stopped dead. He bacame still and silent, much diferent to his usual demeanour and suddenly a flash occured. Where the little ball of tomato-soup coloured fur had been there stood, in it's place, a rather surprised looking wisp.

(( biggrin In order for Osusuki to progress beyond the wisp stage, I'd like you to collect the following items and bring them to me:

1 long length of twine
1 piece of rope
1 length of thin leather
1 piece of metal
1 anklet
1 long, straight twig
1 peice of fur
1 small piece of bone
2 feathers
1 small piece of ribbon

You may get these by buying them from minishops, from other people drawing or creating them for you, or by drawing, creating or photographing them yourself (Because of the length of this list you, yourself, may provide 2 pieces.)
Osusuki should stay close to his bonded object at all times and should not be able to speak much or touch things while he is in this form.

Woah... what just happened there?? That didn't normally happen when he poked at sticks... He felt.. different. It was a rare moment when Osusuki was quiet. Now was one of those moments. He felt lighter somehow. Something had definitely changed. He wiggled his limbs, sticking a hand out in front of him. Ok, that was new. He was all funny and blue. And kinda see through too. And.. he only had two limbs now. In fact... he looked like Pueblo, the last time he had seen her. And Nehanda had been like this too. Suddenly curious, he decided to try something. Could he...? As the little wisp promptly floated up into the air, stopping up by one of the windchimes, he broke into a huge grin. Yes, he could! He could move through the air so easily!

Thoughtfully, he stared at the windchime. Pueblo had come up through the seat, even though it was solid. Sticking his hand out, he watched in delight as he passed right through one of the chimes. He could go through things. The Aerandir giggled, obviously amused by this. This was fun!

Ieyasu stared in surprise as the flash of light faded to leave Osu as a wisp. "Osu...?" After a moment he grinned broadly, realising that this must be the consequences that Alyosha referred to in his note. Wow... just wow.. He hadn't expected this. It seemed like hardly any time at all had passed since the little Aerandir had been born from the jar. And now, this. These beings truly were amazing.

Sitting down on the patio, Ieyasu leaned back his head and watched the wisp up by the chimes, amused by Osu's experimentation. That hadn't changed anyway. The Aerandir wouldn't be satisfied until he had explored all the aspects of his new body. So, Ieyasu would wait until Osu came back down again. This could take a few minutes...

After waving his hands through the broken windchime a few times, Osu decided to float back down to Ieyasu again. Giggling excitedly, he whirled around his guardian, obviously enjoying the freedom to move that he now had. After a moment, he flipped over, hanging upside down. He hovered that way for a few moments. He couldn't do this before!

Ieyasu shook his head at Osu, grinning faintly. The little wisp grinned back cheekily. Then, something else caught the kitsune's eye. Near the staff was another note that he hadn't noticed before. Crouching down, he tugged the piece of paper free before reading over it quickly. Hm.. So, he'd need to find a few things to let Osu grow. Wow.. that was a rather large list. He'd need to ask some of the others on the island. And root through their own house too, to see if he could find anything. "Looks like we're going to be busy in the next few days kid.." He glanced up at Osu and grinned again. "We've got a lot of things we'll need to find for you."

Curiously, Osu flipped right side up again. Moving over to Ieyasu's shoulder, he hung there in the air, peering at the bit of paper. It didn't mean anything to him of course. But Osu wanted to see it anyway. After a moment, he moved back over to the staff, hanging over it. It was special. Pretty too. Such a nice colour of green! It sounded like the next few days would be fun!

Journal entry - 13th June 2005
I can't believe it.. Osu became a wisp today! Alyosha left a bamboo staff on the porch this morning, along with a little note. When Osu touched it, there was a flash, and suddenly he had changed from a gryphon to a wisp. He's been having great fun sticking his hands through things (literally) and floating about. I just find it amazing. Such a great change... He might be see through and incorporeal, but he looks so... humanoid now (for lack of a better word).

There was a second note left too. We need to find a list of items to allow Osu to continue growing:

1 long length of twine
1 piece of rope
1 length of thin leather
1 piece of metal
1 anklet
1 long, straight twig
1 peice of fur
1 small piece of bone
2 feathers
1 small piece of ribbon

I may leave a note in the centre asking for help. There's also a few people I could maybe ask directly too, just in case they'd be able to help. Osu can't move far from the staff, so I'll need to take that with us when we go.

Thanks to Kiro and Tsu, we managed to collect our first item today - a tuft of Kiro's fur (although I felt a little sorry for him.. it was more a result of an accident - aka Tsu pulling out the fur. Ouch. )

Ieyasu headed down the path, the bamboo cane still propped up on his shoulder. Osu floated around him, his expression rather thoughtful. It wasn't hard to guess at what he was thinking of. At least, Ieyasu could take a fairly good guess at it. As they approached the porch, Ieyasu noticed a few new items sitting on the decking. Osu noticed them too, snapping out of his train of thought to dive down to the porch. One seemed to be a bit of paper held down by some rocks. Crouching and setting the staff down on the ground beside him, Ieyasu lifted the bit of paper.

"Ah, it's for you Osu. From Delta." He looked to the wisp and grinned.

Osu eyed the bit of paper curiously. It had some squiggles on the front. Ieyasu made those squiggles sometimes, in a book he kept. He wondered how squiggles could tell you all that information. The squiggles didn't talk to you or anything. But, that wasn't too important. He wanted to know what it was! Impatiently, he waved a hand through the bit of paper, wanting Ieyasu to open it up properly.

Ieyasu grinned. "Ok, ok. Give me a minute." Unfolding the note, he nearly managed to drop one of the feathers inside. He hadn't realised that there was something loose inside it. "Ah, look, it's feathers that she's sent you. You needed those, didn't you?"

The wisp's face lit up with delight. Wow, those were pretty! He poked at the blue one, his little finger going right through it. That was nice of Delta! He looked up at Ieyasu and grinned, a little chuckle escaping him.

Ieyasu smiled. "We can take them inside and put them somewhere safe, ok?" He then moved to lift the other item. Ah, it was a ribbon, from Foenix and Nehanda from the looks of things. "Oh, look. Foenix and Nehanda sent you a ribbon." He held up the ribbon for Osu to see.

The ribbon was pretty too! Osu smiled, obviously delighted with the items that had been left. Darting over to the door, he charged right through the wood without waiting for Ieyasu. He wanted to hurry up and put them somewhere safe!

(( RP with Rahujo here ))

Journal entry - 19th June 2005
We went to see Rahujo today. Since she works with metal, I had wondered if she would be able to make an anklet for Osu. He was delighted as he got to see her forge - along with the huge fire that burns there. He was literally in his element. Rahujo kindly said that she would make one also, and that we were to return in a couple of days.

We came home to find a couple of items on the porch. Delta gave Osu two of her feathers.

Syrenrei
Outside Ieyasu's door is a small piece of parchment, held down by a couple rocks. On the outside of the tri-folded paper is a simple message:
Quote:
To: Osusuki
From: Delta

Inside the folder paper's creases are two feathers, one plucked from Delta's wing and another plucked from her her neck feathers. Once the feathers are removed and the paper is opened, there is another note, written in longhand.

Quote:
I hope this helps with Osusuki's quest. It gave me a good chance to teach Delta the value of gifts and friendship as well.

Foenix and Nehanda also gave us a ribbon. We'll need to thank the two of them, Syrenrei and Delta the next time we see them.

We received another note and item today. Yakobi, who I haven't met yet (will need to rectify that..) sent us a twig from her garden along with a little note.

Yakobi
Dear Ieyasu,

I know we have not met, but I had heard that you were on a quest for some items. I had gone searchign around my garden for the perfect twig. I hope it helps you upon your quest.

Ieyasu sat in the bedroom, clothing once more strewn around the floor. He had had a feeling that he hadn't thrown away those leather pants, although he really should have. A huge tear ran up one leg, the dark leather shredded around it. He had liked these ones, before he had managed to rip chunks out of them. But now it was maybe just as well that he hadn't thrown them away. He could use them now.

With the help of a sharp knife, he soon had a long, dark strip of leather. It wasn't particularly tough leather, but the note hadn't said anything about how hard or soft the leather had to be. He now also had a large metal button, also from the trousers. Hopefully it would be big enough for whatever it was needed for.

Stuffing the rest of the clothes back away again, Ieyasu headed over to the ladder with the ruined trousers, strip of leather and little disc of coppery metal. Now he really would have to get rid of them. But now he had another two items to score off of the list. Time to see what the little fox was up to downstairs.

Journal entry - 24th June 2005
We visited the forge again today. Rahujo made Osu a wonderful anklet - it has flames etched around it which, given his future job and current obsessions, is very fitting.
Also, I may have been mistaken, but I think that Osu made his first attempt at speaking while we were there! He really is an amazing little creature. Although, I wasn't kidding when I said to Rahujo that I'll be keeping a bucket of water in every room in the house. Call it a hunch, but I think I may be needing them...

There was a short note left on the doorstep this morning, along with a spindle of twine. It was from Osero, who I don't believe I've met yet. We'll really need to go out and thank everyone for their kindness at some point soon.

Just the rope to find now!

Osero
I noticed your note in the centre, and thought that this fishing twine may help you.
