Sooner or later I'll get it, I know I will. I wonder if Inori is having as much luck as I am.
He looked over to Inori, who appeared to be doing pretty well, having already successfully performed the jutsu twice without fail. Nero had yet to even get it once, and was running out of chakra. Pretty soon he'd need a break to stop and catch his breath.
"Kira, is there a trick or something I'm missing? I can't seem to get this jutsu, it just isn't working at all. I'm doing the handseals right, but the chakra just isn't molding into the right shape. Do you think you could help me out? Please?"

He sat down at the table and groaned, the inability to see even the faintest bit of success with the jutsu, was beginning to bother him. He had learned the handseals so much faster than Inor, why was Inori so much better at this jutsu? It didn't make much sense to Nero, but he didn't really care, at the moment, all he wanted to do was rest, he needed it if he wanted to continue practicing the Jutsu
I couldn't do it again if I was sure I'd get it. I'm drained. Maybe a quick break for a couple minutes will help me out...I'm sure the rest could only be good.
He leaned back in the chair, exhausted from attempting the jutsu. Perhaps Kira hadn't heard him, however, he decided to rest a bit, then try again before he asked for help a second time. He wanted to be sure he needed it before he asked, and right now, all he could think of was sleeping. He grinned, excited to get back to practicing. It was a weird sensation, being drained. He'd never before been out of chakra, so the feeling as a whole was a new experience for him.

______________________________________________________________ Nero yawned, and after a few minutes, fell asleep in the chair he was in, dozing off slightly, waking up every once in a while, due to his sleep being rather fitful, due to his level of exhaustion, and his lack of any real amount of chakra.
Must regain chakra faster...must master...the Henge jutsus before the night is over.
He woke up shortly after, and yawned, sitting down. He moved his arms and legs, as they were falling asleep, then dozed off again shortly after.
"I'm just gonna rest a little longer, don't worry, I'll be back to training in a bit...my chakra's just a bit low right now is all."
______________________________________________________________ He could feel it, his chakra was coming back, although at no record-setting rate, it was definitely coming back. He picked up one of the books he was given to learn the jutsu, and began to read it, getting bored quickly. He continued to read it, and soon, found himself asleep again, though a bit more soundly this time. He was a good sleeper, which probably had something to do with why he was falling asleep on a chair, very very easily. He yawned in his sleep, turning his head to the side.
No, no! Not now!.
He sat up quickly, woken by his nightmare. He dreamt he was on a mission, using the jutsu to hide his real appearance, but it dispelled itself while he was talking with an enemy ninja, and he was attacked. What if he never mastered it? He thought about this, and almost immediately got back up and prepared to try again.

He yawned again, standing up and picking his book back up. Staring at the text, he read it carefully, making sure he wasn't doing anything wrong. Upon seeing that he was doing it right, just with the wrong result, he jumped right back into the training, attempting to get this jutsu down before the end of the night. He couldn't even tell whether he was close or not the last few times he had failed, as there wasn't a mirror nearby for him to look in and see what the final product had looked like before he had dispelled it. The only way he knew, was because Kira would shake his head in disapproval, showing Nero that he had failed.
I have to get it this time. What could I possibly be doing wrong?
He sighed, creating the tiger seal, touching his fingertips together, as the chakra he had left, began to flow. He grinned, he felt good about this time, and hoped he could trust his instincts. He hoped he'd get it with this next try, and if not, he'd simply have to ask Kira for some help.
"Kira, is this it? Am I close? Or...is this not it at all?"

Upon receiving his head nod of approval, he grinned, attempting to hold it for as long as he could. He sighed, he was getting low on chakra again, and was worried he might run out, but he pushed forward anyways. He had to, he couldn't let it go now, what if he did and couldn't get it to activate properly again? He knew it wasn't likely that would happen, but took no chances, striving to hold it for as long as his chakra and control over the current state of it would last.
Finally, now all I have to do is hold it for as long as I can, then I'll rest.
A bead of sweat ran down his face, as he stood perfectly still, trying hard to hold it for as long as possible, but straining to a certain level, as he was tired, and running low on chakra.
"I'm not sure how much longer I can hold it...my chakra is running low."

With a sudden poof, the jutsu was gone. He needed to rest, or he would pass out in the middle of a jutsu. Not to mention the fact that being drained wasn't a good feeling, and he decided rest would probably be better for the future of this jutsu, and being well rested would probably help him to have more success while practicing it. As much as he didn't want to stop practicing, even he knew when rest was needed.
Ugh. At this rate, I'm never going to master it. I can barely even get it up, let alone sustain it. How am I going to make use of this if I can't even successfully practice it?
He sighed, plopping himself back in the chair he was previously in. He felt as though he had just gotten out, and no sooner was he done being rested, than he found himself tired, having to rest, yet again.
"I couldn't hold it. I...ran out of chakra. I need...to rest a bit."
He was exhausted, taking breaths in between short sets of words, almost panting with the sort of breaths he was taking. He was also afraid he'd fall asleep again. ______________________________________________________________ He groaned, he felt rather weak, probably because he was more or less out of chakra, but he didn't let it bother him too much. He lied back down, not wanting to start practicing again, feeling as weak as he did. However, he couldn't fall asleep this time, so he just lied there, staring at the ceiling, occasionally shifting his gaze to one of the bookshelves. However, he would find nothing interesting or worth looking at, and would shift his gaze elsewhere.
This is going to take forever at this rate. I have to keep resting too, or else I'll pass out from chakra depletion.
Finally, he managed to fall asleep, having a dreamless rest that lasted about 5 minutes or so, sleeping peacefully, as he regained his chakra.

He felt a bit better, now that most of his chakra was back, save for a small amount that was still gone, but it was okay, he could make do with what he had. He looked down at his book, and flipped the page, continuing on with the next section, his eyes scanning the text, reading to find out how to do it, and whether he was doing it wrong or not.
No...I'm definitely doing it right, maybe this jutsu just isn't my thing? Maybe I'll get it this time...yea, I have to get it this time, I don't have time to be here practicing one jutsu all night, I've got other things to do.
He grinned and put his hands together, making the proper handseal, attempting to be able to perform and hold the jutsu this time, though he wasn't particularly thrilled with the way the training was currently going, and wasn't overly excited about the likely result. He sighed, putting the negative thoughts out of his mind. He took a deep breath, than exhaled, than took another, than exhaled. He knew he would get it sooner or later, it was only a matter of time.

He decided he'd just rest for a while, and get all his chakra back, as opposed to doing it in short amounts, to regain just enough to be able to perform the jutsu once. He was probably lowering his chances of success with all the stopping and starting he was doing, he felt it would probably be best for him to just train as much as he could before resting. He frowned slightly, seeing Kira's disappointed shaking of his head. Nero sighed, every ninja couldn't have been having as bad a time as he was, what was he doing wrong? What could he do to fix it? He read the pages over, hoping to find something, but finding nothing wrong, so his explanation was incomplete. He had no idea why he was failing so badly with this jutsu.
This is impossible. I'm never going to get it. Why do I always have to have trouble with stuff? Why can't anything ever just be easy for me? It would make life so much more convenient.
He yawned and put his hands together, making the tiger seal, preparing to try one last time, before resting to restore his chakra.
"All I'm asking for is one successful attempt at holding it, is that so bad?"

He then yawned, exhausted, it was time for that long rest he promised himself. He would rest for just a few minutes...that was all he needed, then he'd be back up and ready to start practicing again.
But until that time comes..I'm going to enjoy this down-time while I can. Two successes down...a bunch more to go.
His eyes met Kira's, as he saw Kira smile, and give Nero his long anticipated nod of approval, as Nero flopped down onto the couch, resting, glad he had gotten that successful attempt in before resting. He just wished he could see that nod more often, some good luck right now would have been greatly appreciated, considering his unstable pattern of success, and his terrible success to failure ratio while practicing this jutsu.

It took a few minutes, and the paper was folded many times the wrong way before it was finally folded into a proper crane. Disappointed with the end result, Nero grabbed another piece of paper, and tried again. I turned out better, but all it did was make him realize just how bored he was at the moment. He sighed, and began to make a frog out of a piece of paper he found on the floor, in an attempt to pass some of the time.
Really? Origami? Man...I really am bored. Maybe if this jutsu was a bit more successful for me I'd be able to rest easy, and look back on what I did right. But it isn't, all there is to do is analyze my mistakes, and I don't even know what they are yet...man...I hate this jutsu already.
He yawned, leaning back and relaxing. If he was going to be bored, he might as well be comfortable while being bored.

Tenshi was caught day dreaming and totally missed Kira's question. The startled Nero and the falling of books brought Tenshi's attention back to reality. "Oh, good evening Kira-kun," he looked over at Nero, "You too Nero-san." He noticed they had already begun the training. He wasn't quite sure if he wanted to get in on the training. He had already learned several techniques that day and he was beginning to get tired, however, he would have to do them eventually.
He sighed after convincing himself that if he could do it now, that the sooner it was done, the less he had to do later, "I suppose I could join you all in this exercise. It doesn't seem all that different from the other ones." He had been formulating the idea that generally most jutsus were created the same way. The only problem was the elemental jutsu. They didn't seem to be 'illusions' or tricks of the eye, but the elements themselves.
He peeked over Nero's shoulder before backing away from him. Sheep and tiger handseals... He took his mind back to when he learned them. The images were still fairly fresh in his mind. He decided his first step would be to refresh his mind. He made the sheep seal first, folding his last two fingers and placing one hand over the other. Simple enough...
The second seal, the tiger, was fairly similar to the first, and was easier to produce. With the seals in his mind, it was his turn to bend and mold his chakra to form anything he wanted to transform into. He decided to perhaps try a small shelf of books. He felt the release of chakra as it quivered around him. He kept the mental image in his mind, hoping it would be enough to keep it together.

He threw a book at him, which Tenshi caught, as intended. He grinned, his chakra returning. Just a few more minutes and he'd be back at full strength.
The other ones? He's learned more than one jutsu today? How? I can't even get this one, and he's done a few already...
He looked over at Tenshi. He wanted to train more, but his current exhausted state prevented it, though he was feeling a bit better, he wasn't at full chakra yet, and decided that it would be best to just try and wait until he was. It would only be a few minutes anyways, no harm in waiting that.
"Nope Tenshi. No cheating. You have to read the book too. Now read!"
He told Tenshi, jokingly, as he tossed the books over to him, but he was serious. He hated reading, and if he had to do it, tenshi had to do it, it just seemed like the logical thing to do. ______________________________________________________________ He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, then exhaled. He wished he had more chakra, or that this jutsu would just cost less chakra. He put his hands behind his head and laid back, his neck resting against the top of the seat. He sighed, still feeling pretty burnt out from practicing the jutsu earlier.
Some day, when I am a great ninja, this won't be a problem. I'll have all the chakra I could ever want...until then though...I'm stuck doing this.
He sighed, looking down at the floor, sort of unhappy he hadn't been able to do more before running out of chakra, but somewhat satisfied that he had been successful a few times at least.

He groaned, bored by it all. He could care less about the specifics of this stupid jutsu. He didn't even want to learn it, he just wanted to know it so he could move on, but sadly, he couldn't do that. In fact, practicing the jutsu had landed him where he was now, with what felt like half of his chakra, and a headache, sitting in a chair, bored.
Stupid jutsu...I bet this won't even be useful ever, why wouldn't I just go to the academy? Everything would have been so much easier.

Tenshi grabbed the book that was coming at him, and then several more were coming his way. He didn't try to catch them all, well he didn't try to catch any. Nero seemed to keep making a mess on the floor, "Don't think you're trying to pin this mess on me. Who needs to read about it when I can just do the same things you are doing and implement the training I had earlier into this? Basically it is the same as both the Kakuremino and the Bunshin. It is not cheating, just using my resources," he said, a grin forming on his face.
He rather enjoyed the competition, especially between fellow clanmembers. With the chit-chatting and thrown books at him he was losing his concentration. He centered his mind, like he did with meditation, to bring his mind back to balance. He couldn't and the facade crumpled before him. He glared over at Nero, "Seems I lost my concentration... no matter, I will try again." He set the book down beside him. He was more of a try it and if it doesn't work, then look at the manual.
This jutsu seemed to be just as hard as the other ones, which he had assumed, but wanted to look like he had made progress earlier that day.

He brushed himself off and continued to train, hoping for at least one clean success at the jutsu. Not to mention he had yet to be able to successfully hold the jutsu, and that was one of the more important parts of the jutsu. Sighing, he prepared to try the jutsu again, this time with full chakra.
Maybe I'll have some luck this time...or maybe not. I just want to get this over with, I should have just gone to the academy...it would have been so much easier than having to do this.
He put his hands together and formed the tiger seal, hoping he'd be able to see a positive result when he was done, but knowing he probably wouldn't. He took a deep breath, and began to channel his chakra.
"Whatever."

At this rate, it would take forever to learn it, not to mention he constantly had to sit down and replenish his chakra. It was making him irritated, and he was about ready to give up on the jutsu all together. He just wanted to get a few successes and be done with the stupid lesson.
Stupid jutsu. Stupid book. Stupid lesson. It's impossible, at this rate, it'll take years to learn this jutsu. There has to be an easier way. Everybody else is doing it without much problem, I'm the only one having trouble with it. This sucks...
He groaned, he had no desire to continue practicing the jutsu, but he knew he had to. He decided he might as well just continue the way he was doing it, constantly taking breaks due to his small amount of chakra. He wondered if everybody at the academy had this hard of a time mastering these jutsus.

The head nod was becoming more familiar, which meant Nero was receiving it more. That was a good sign, he decided to continue while he was ahead, and try and hold it for as long as he could, which would probably not be very long, as he was beginning to run low on chakra, so he did what he could, and made the seal of the Tiger, hoping to get some more success with it, and to maybe start a lucky streak for him, where he could maybe even get a few successful attempts in before he ran out of chakra.
Cmon...hold it this time. Don't mess this up, you have to get it some time.
Concentrating completely on his control over his chakra, he tried his best to maintain the jutsu for as long as he could, but could feel himself losing it, he looked over at Kira hoping to receive the head-nod soon, so he could rest again, he needed it, his chakra was running low again, and he had a habit of never finding out just how low it was, until it was about to run out. With a family member here, and a friend, running out of chakra was unacceptable, it was would be embarrassing, and it wasn't an option now.

To release chakra... Inori read from the book. One must first understand chakra already exists in all cells of the body. However, this raw chakra, these energies, are impossible to be used for Jutsus due to their instability. Therefore, raw chakra must be molded first, and it is this processed chakra that is then utilized for either elemental or non-affinity techniques. Due to this, the shinobi world does not term raw chakra as chakra itself, instead referring to it as the physical energies of the body. Therefore, when shinobi teaches their children about molding the "physical" with the "spiritual" energies, they speak of shaping raw chakra with sheer force of will, in order to achieve the stable form that can then be molded for Jutsus.
The volume Kira had divided out for him had small notes on the margins, making Inori wonder if perhaps this very book once belonged to the now Jounin Fubuki. Inori glanced at the other, noticing Kira was very intently watching Nero and the other Fubuki, Tenshi, practice the same Henge technique. With a small inward sigh to himself, Inori decided not to bother the Jounin, and read on. In a way of speaking, the discomfort of handseals were designed to help the mind focus on nothing more than the energy flow in the body. At this, Inori paused. Distraction, hunh? That Tenshi boy just said something of a similar nature now to Nero. Thus these seals descend from a long history of meditative arts. Therefore, along with incorporating the traditional meditative arts, those in training to become shinobi learn from the very beginning the importance of sheer force of will.
Chakra is energy, but the final form is highly affected by what the user wills the energy to do. Since chakra is produced by the body, perhaps what allows it to be so malleable was due to the very fact that it is like an extension of the user? Inori paused, thinking to himself with a small frown. What on earth is up with this chakra... Is it lifeforce? He flipped the page, studying hard the instructions on how to slowly push chakra down the pathways and towards the basic expulsion area, the hands. So Inori formed the first seal of the Henge, and closing his eyes, tried to shut out the ambient surroundings of the library from his attention. Even though the feeling was faint, he felt the trickle of something deep within.
Moments later, when he opened his eyes, the pale blue glow around his hands told him he at least achieved something. Well, what was next, then? Inori glanced back to the open page of the Henge chapter. After the first Inu seal, it was then I, the sign of the Boar. His hands flipped down, melding easily into the form of the I, and as Inori concentrated on simply the form of the seal, the blue glow around his hands brightened, strengthening. So this seal aids with maintainence... Then the last seal, the Hitsuji, probably aided with forcing out the chakra further to cover the whole body.
He should think of something...something...
With a poof, a piece of paper drifted down and laid limp on Inori's seat.
The "piece of paper" let out a blood-curdling cry.
