The worst kind of fanboyism shown so far has got to be the followers of a company called Wargames Factory, who produced a horrible kit called sci-fi greatcoat troopers. Have on mercy on those who dared to say those models looked like crap. sweatdrop

Crap is too kind a description for their stuff. Mantic's stuff is a step up, but I'm still disappointed by this so far.

Lady Blodwynn I am more curious as to how the evil human corporation, which is a blatant and thinly veiled jab at GW, will turn out. Are you sure? I actually get some Warzone vibes from what i have seen, especially along with the "corporation" thing lurking ..... And Warzone had 5 Corporations, but selected parts could easily be turned into one ...

From Dakka Dakka, a comparison between the fantasy and warpath Orc sprues: Eilif Here's the two sprues compared side by side. Orx front Orcs front Orx back Orcs back I have to say I'm a bit disapointed with this one. No change whatsoever to the bodies as The bottom half of the sprue is exactly the same! Why did they have to have the figure with the non-replacable head again? Why repeat the same fixed arm pose? Why not add some real sci-fi details to the bodies? I would have expected that the Orx would be an improvment over the Orcs (not that they were bad at all), instead it's just a rehash. I don't mind the ferral look for space orcs, but if the Forgefathers are the same arrangement, then -despite my excitement for space dwarves- I may choose not to buy. Thank goodness I didn't pre-order!

More bluntly and to the point, it is for me personally more than enough reason to pass up on their Orx.

I'm sure the resin models won't be direct copies from the Kings of War range.

Quote: Mukluk roared as he gutted another beardy. His hrunka knife slipped on the plates of its armour, but the notch on the end caught under one, lifting it just enough so it slipped in nice and easy right into the beardy’s guts. It came away pulling something spongy with it. The beardy gurgled and died. He laughed and punched his Ripper claw through the face of another as he tried to bring his gun to bear on Mukluk. The complex would be theirs soon enough, and with it lots of thalers, for Mukluk would take a cut of every beard bounty his men gathered, as well as his own. It had been a costly fight. The Raptor was a smoking wreck close by the complex’s bunker. One of the beardy’s heavy cannons had opened up on them as soon as they broke cover, annihilating Groknuk’s section in a fountain of earth and gore. More Grunts had fallen to the beardy’s small arms fire, but then they’d been in among them, and there was no stopping them... Written by Guy Haley, ex-WD editor.
