After a good hour she finally managed to pin down a deer. Sighing she stood over it. It took her a lot longer then she through to find food. First she had to track down the deer wich took a wile. Then she had to actually catch it. Even wile flying deer weren't that easy to catch. She grabbed the deer and with some difficulty managed to get it into the air. Even though she was pretty big she still had a problem getting it to the cave entrence. After a few stops to rest she finally had it at the bottom of the cliff. She looked up at the cave and called out to her mate.

"KRYSTAL!" He came darting out of the cave with the BCRs hanging off his arm securely. He nose dived down to where she was, then landed safely in front of her. "Where have you been?! I was worried sick that you were lying dead in a ditch somewhere! Do you know what that is like not knowing where you were?! Oh never mind about that."
Solaris waved with his other paw, "What did you call me for, are you injured? Where's the blood? Some me where you were hurt."

Krystal's ears went up when she heard her mane being screamed at the top of her mates lungs. "Yep..." She gave a comical. She was right... he was totally freaking out. That was only proved more when he came dive bombing out of the cave after her. "I was hunting... remember. It took me a little longer then i thought too..." She was cut off by his freaked out questions. "Im fine..." She blinked at him answering his question if she was hurt or not.

"Are you sure?" Solaris inspected her thoroughly before he was satisfied that she was indeed fine. "Alright then...." He quickly leaned in and nuzzled her neck as he smiled, "How was the hunting love? Did you have fun?" He held up his arm, "The babies were just fine while you were gone. Didn't even make a peep. They are such good minders. I told them to sit and guess what...." He chuckled, "They just stayed there."

"Yes Im sure..." She gave a chuckle. "I just called you to ask if you could help me get this deer into the cave." She looked over at the deer she had brought back. "Its a bit heavy for me..." She then looked back at him. "It was an ok hunt... sorry it took a wile. I had to track the deer..." Her eyes went to the BCRs and she smiled. "Aww were you good for Daddy?" She chuckled then looked at him. "Of course they stayed... they are not hatched yet." She gave another chuckle.

"Yes they were very good for daddy...Here....You take them." He slid the BCRs over to her, then grabbed the deer by the neck and started to flap his wings until he was hovering. He forced his wings to go even faster, which slowly took him up the side of the mountain until he was at the cliff. He jerked his head to the side and tossed the deer into the cave, then collapsed outside of it exhausted, "That....was....heavy...."

"Well thats good. I would be worried if they were troubling you wile BCRs." She teased him then gladly took her babies and slid them on her paw. She was going to of course help him up the cliff with the deer. That was until he took it and just began his ascent up the cliff. She watched in amassment as he got it all the way to the top then collapsed. She quickly flew up then landed next to him.
"You know... I was going to help you with it until you started to climb up on your own..."

"No....you are too delicate...." He stood up and walked into the cave, "Besides....it wasn't that heavy. it wasn't anything that I couldn't do by myself." He leaned in and nuzzled his mate happily. "Why don't you put the kids by the fire while we eat?" He licked her cheek, then walked over to the deer and tore it in half, sliding the bigger half over to Krystal.

Krystal blinked at him then sighed as she smiled. He really did worry too much. She hoped that didn't over come him and he was going to be worried about all of them. She nodded in respons to him carrying it up the cliff on his own. She leaned into him as he nuzzled her. Doing as he said she placed the BCRs by the fire then went toward the deer. That was until he ripped it in half. She looked on in comical horror.
"Was... Was that really necessary? We could have shared..." She looked at all the blood pooling at the floor of the cave.

Solaris looked at her puzzled, "I've always done it that way." He shrugged his shoulders back, "I guess I never really thought about it but...yeah I think it was necessary....that way you can have more meat then me. You need to keep up your strength after having the babies." He smiled at her, then leaned down and started to tear into the deer hungrily.

"Oh?" She looked at him. She had no idea that was how he ate. It was strange but then again everyone ate in their own way. "Well thank you... I appreciate you doing that for me." She smiled. He really was kind and cared about her a lot. "She then leaned in and started to eat her own half. After a few bites she looked up at him. "What are we going to do about all the blood on the floor?"

"I don't know can't we just leave it there." At the horrified look on her face he laughed, "I was just kidding....I will clean it out after we eat." He flashed her a charming smile. "Easy love...I will not allow us to live like savages...our den will be clean and neat so that our babies have a good environment to grow up in." He chuckled at her, then went back to eating slowly.

"Oh good..." Krystal smiled in bliss when he mentioned that he would clean it up. "Though if you do think about it... any one who came in this came and saw that..." She looked at the blood on the floor. "Im sure would turn and run." She chuckled. "Im sure they wouldn't want to wait around to see what did that." She began eating again. She was glad to see that he thought so well of their kids. he was going to make a wonderful father.

"True but if you think about it, at this altitude they only thing that would stumble upon us would be a Daeva, and I doubt that a little blood would be enough to scare it off." Solaris looked at her seriously, "But I would still protect you Krystal...you and the babies. You don't have to worry about that ever. I do whatever is necessary to protect my family from harm. I promise you that."

"Mm..." She looked over at him when he mentioned about the daevas. He was right. Just about the only thing that would cause harm to them that would be able to come up here would be a daeva. After her last encounter with one she would really rather avoid getting in a fight with one."Your right... they would just probably walk right past it..." She frowned then looked up at him. "Mm... But if you got hurt... I would never forgive myself..."
