Ears falling back Mitsu seemed more focused on the path ahead of her feet as Shun once again told her she should seek out someone else. For a moment she was unsure what to say but finally settled on telling him the truth. "I...don't want someone else to teach me. I want you to teach me."
It was the closest she had come to telling him how she felt. In a way it felt good but it was also embarrassing. She could feel the slight bit of heat rising to her cheeks. Thankfully her mask hid that fact from view. It was strange how something so simple could make her blush.

Pausing briefly, Shun glanced back towards Mitsu with a softened gaze. If he had seen her blush, he would have been confused, but the mask was covering up that little bit of detail.
"You must put a good amount of faith in my ability as a teacher," he said quietly before facing forward and continuing on, "I hadn't really tried to teach others anything, but I suppose there's a first for most things.."
"I just hope I can help you out properly."

Smiling behind her mask Mitsu gave a nod. "I do have a lot of faith in you. If anyone can teach me I'm certain you can." He had been good about instructing her so far. In a short amount of time he had instructed her to call Arkham over to her. If that wasn't proof that he could teach Mitsu wasn't sure what was.
"J..just don't get discouraged if my ability to do it doesn't reflect your ability to teach....I'm not very coordinated." Obviously. "I'll try my best though."

"And.. I don't want you to get discouraged either if you have trouble learning," Shun said firmly. He knew she could get pretty stubborn at times, but he had a slight feeling she might try to give up if she was performing poorly. Issues with confidence could affect these sorts of things and whatnot.
"I'm sure... this will help with how you feel about yourself as well. "

"I'll try not to," Mitsu nodded. She would do her best and not disappoint the reaper.
"Do you think it will really help?" Mitsu had to wonder if something as simple as training and working out would really help boost her confidence. It was worth a try if anything. Maybe the solution was something simple like this though she knew there would be work involved.

"I think it should. I could be wrong, but I have a feeling that it will help," Shun said as he continued to walk along, "It's kind of tied together in a sense. If you try to hit something but have too many things holding you back, you won't hit as hard. Things like that."
Pausing for a moment, he glanced over at her.
"Has.. no one really tried to teach you before? I figured it would have been good to know with the bullying you've encountered in the past.."

Slowly Mitsu shook her head. "M..my brother didn't know much about fighting and...never really had a chance to show me." He had been gone during the times that the bullying had been at its peek.
"I...I really didn't have anyone else. Mr. Adolphus is always busy and he focuses mostly on science. I doubt he would see much use in self defense." And she doubted he really knew any for that matter. If he did she wasn't sure she would want to learn from him.
"So this will be my first chance to really learn anything."

Nodding quietly, Shun watched Mitsu for a moment or so before looking to the path again. It made sense really.
"Well then I'll try to do what I can to make sure you can defend yourself in the future.. It's not a surefire thing but it's better than nothing for sure," he said lowly.
"But.. there's one thing I want you to know. If the odds are too great against you, just run. You're a quick runner.."

Being about to defending herself sounded like a good idea. Even if she wasn't great at it she would still be better prepared than she was at the moment. At best at the moment all she could do was run and hope for the best. If she was caught it was over and from what she had heard of the field trips...it would really be over.
So when Shun brought up that she should run if the odds were to great the lycan turned to him nervously. "D...do you really think the field trips are as bad as everyone says they are? T..they might be exaggerating right?" Mitsu wasn't sure how you exaggerated on dying but it was possible...right?

Looking over towards Mitsu as she brought up the field trips, Shun just sort of shrugged.
"Everyone seems to have the same idea about them," he said plainly, "But you know, death isn't usually eternal for people like us."
He glanced over to her again with a softened look.
"In the case we end up on one of these field trips, I swear though that I will try and protect you."

Death may not have been eternal most of the time but sometimes it was. Sometimes people didn't come back not even as something else. The very thought of dying, Mitsu imagined it was painful, she didn't want to experience it.
Shun's words though, they left her feeling not as anxious about the situation. That, even if things got bad maybe she would be alright. "I'll try my best to look out for you too." She wasn't as strong but she was quick. Maybe, somehow, she could help. "If we end up on one of those field trips I want us both to come out okay." Mitsu could only pray they didn't end up on one of those field trips.

"That would be ideal," Shun agreed as far as them both coming out alright. While death wasn't really a concern for him, he wouldn't want them getting hurt. It also wouldn't hurt to have an extra pair of eyes watching his back for when things got rough.
"But I don't think we should worry too much about these things right now. If it happens, we'll deal with it then.'

Not to worry, it sounded so simple and yet it was so hard not to do. Looking up ahead it seemed like they were coming back around on their path now and were heading back toward the dorms. "I guess there really is no reason to worry about it." Sure she could say that, but it wouldn't keep her from worrying.
"Why don't we take a break from homework tonight?" Mitsu suggested. "It's not like anything is due soon."

Looking over towards Mitsu, Shun was trying to see if she was serious about that suggestion. Usually she was the one to try and push for it to happen. At least, she was like that with the homework.
"Are you sure about that?" he asked quietly, "If so.. we'll just resume tomorrow then. This walk.. was nice though."

"Yeah, I'm sure. We can pick up on it tomorrow like you said." Smiling behind her mask the lycan nodded. "Yes, it was nice. We should go for walks more often." Maybe that would help them break up the monotony of homework.
"Maybe we can start bringing our homework outside too. I like being out here." It was possible while outside they could switch between homework and training too. Maybe that would keep things interesting. For now though Mitsu would head back to Shun's dorm to get her things.
