So far there had been only normal plants around, and Asami was sure to check every single one. There was a large thing stuck to a tree, though it had not moved for awhile. She even tried egging it on, but nothing happened. So she kept on flying, switching directions every now and then to see if she could find the man eating plant. That was when she heard an eery snapping noise. It sounded as if massive jaws were clamping down on something. Asami took in a deep breath and hurried toward it. The plant payed her no mind the first time she passed, but the second time it opened its mouth and snapped at her. If Asami had been a bit slower, she would have been plant food.

The man trap snapped at the buzzing annoyance. It was really small but it looked like a good snack. Its over-sized head reached out as far as it could to snap at the little Fae.

Asami dipped out of reach, and wondered how to get the seeds. Of course, all she would need is a distraction! Asami focused her energy, and flew to a better location once she was sure the trap could not see her. She put her hands before her and began to blow out the bubbles just before the plants field of vision. If the plant followed the bubbles, she would rush in and pluck a seed off of the base of the plant. Just in case the seed was secure, Asami created a magic dagger, and then went through with her plan.

The plant immediately started snapping at bubbles, wanting to see if they yielded any type of food reward for it. The pods near its base shook with a rattle, letting Asami know where to find the seeds.

The woods sat in quiet reflection as the natural life was out taking care of its day under the glow of the moon. Prism went to a small chest and pulled out a book that seemed to glow. "It might be good to teach you a couple things to go with your songs," she said as she leafed through the pages. "See if you can do these." She slowly explains the techniques on the pages in front of her. βMy voice is the soul crying deep inside of me.  She looked at Prism with a perplexed look on her face. βThe first technique seems a bit improper,β she let out a small childish giggle. Eleki sat down by a tree; she placed the harp on her lap and closed her eyes as she began to strum her harp. She focused her energy on her finger tips and her vocal chords. The sound waves that lingered in the air seemed to change the atmosphere around them. She hummed tenderly before singing. Her voice was gentle and perfectly pitched as her words held on to optimism βWhile I still breathe, I will hold on to hope. For I fight with my spirit and my soul, you will not bring me down to my knees for I will keep on standing until the end I will struggle,β she continued to hum soothingly as her fingers gracefully strung the strings. As they approached the clearing, Allysa stumbled and fell to the gorund, Alaster failing to catch her. The angel drew her up and into her arms immediately, looking over her quickly to make sure she was fine. Pushing him off, the girl looked him straight in the face with a sour expression. "I'm fine." Though her voice was cold, she was simply embarrased of her fall, and even more embarrased that the angel had fretted over her. They continued to walk towards the clearing, having finally found the place of training for Ernya.
Alaster stopped numerous people on the road in order to get directions to these woods, and though they had set out in the earliest hours of the morning to find it, the search had proven to take some time due to a misdirection from a farmer. Here now, Allysa and Alaster stood close the the edge of the clearing, examining the surroundings for many minutes before making it clear they were there. The angel cleared his throat, and spoke in a loud voice. "We come looking for training. Is there anyone here that can help us?" He waited patiently for a response.

A smiling kiranu face suddenly appeared upside down in front of Allysa. "New people today?" she asked brightly as she hung from an overhead tree branch. "So what are you? Fighter? Monk? Spellslinger?"

As the face of the Kiranu appeared before Allysa, she became so startled that she fell backwards onto the ground. Though her mask hid the crimson blush that crossed her face, Alaster knew that she was extremely embarrassed to have fallen in his presence once again. Helping her up, the angel could sense a contempt from the girl to the Kiranu, one of hatred for causing an embarrassment. Quickly intervening before the girl could manage something silly, he spoke up for her. "She's of the Kakurenbo race, and studies the lore of magic as a mage." Bowing himself low, he smiled brightly to the Kiranu woman as he raised himself up. "We would both be ever so grateful if you would teach her to defend herself. She is but a beginner, and has much to learn. Her fault lies in the fact she will not admit it." Laughing softly, he turned to Allysa and motioned for her to move forward. Gazing at Alaster for a number of moments, she finally moved herself forward and bowed low. "Teach me." Poked hard in the side by the angel, she let out a small yelp before raising herself up. "Please."

The kiranu let go of the branch, flipping to land on her feet in front of the pair. "Mage, huh? Wouldn't happen to be a new member of the Mage Guild too, would ya?" she asked while going to a chest filled with books. "Mage... mage... Here we go! Mage skills! So we go with the basics first. That's Arcane Orb and Pull." She briefly explained the skills for her. "Do those first and then we'll see what elemental skills you can do."

The very first skill a mage can learn and should learn, it is basically a small ball of energy. It's really not much of an attack, and travels as far as the user can normally throw.
Pull
Rank: E
This skill allows the mage to pull objects towards them. The only limit is the mage must have seen the object before, and must be able to pull it with their physical strength. Does not work on super rare artifacts, or artifacts that have been charmed against it.

Though slightly confused by the mention of a guild, whatever that was, Allysa listened intently to the Kiranu's words while she instructed the girl on both skills. As the girl headed off a ways to practice the skills, Alaster moved closer to the Kiranu and spoke to her calmly. "Perhaps you can tell me more of this Mage Guild while she practices?" He waited patiently for the woman's response, keeping his attention on the Kakurenbo girl as well.
Whilst the other two talked, Allysa moved herself off a ways in order to practice. She did not want to allow any possible danger to come to Alaster, and as thus wished to learn new skills away from him. Though this was her main reason, underneath the mask she wore she simply did not want to embarrass herself in front of him any more. Having found a proper place away from the others, she concentrated on what the Kiranu had told her about the first skill, Arcane Orb. Focusing her mind, she willed ehr energy to pool together in her hand. As it came to fruitation, she molded it into the shape of an orb. As she checked it over for flaws and came to the conclusion it was good enough, she lobbed it with the might she had, and saw it come down on the ground not too far away from her in a small explosion.
Though it was still an embarrassing thing to be so physically weak, Allysa looked on the bright side and knew that the orb would come in handy for the closer fights she would encounter. Next up was the Pull skill, something that she would need as she constantly lost and dropped her items and articles. Thinking for a few moments, she decided to pull Retribution from it's sheath and throw it behind the trees to ehr right. Concentrating now on it's form, the size of it's handle and blade, as well as the weight she came to know well, Allysa willed it to come back to her. She felt her energy travel out, and hook onto the blade from where it rested. Holding her hand out, the blade came forth from the trees and into her grasp.
Happy with the outcome of both skills, Allysa headed back to the Kiranu and Alaster, nodding to both as she approached. "Done." Her gaze settled on the angel, and though it was not apparent, her eyes were cold and in disbelief. How could he be talking to this... Woman like he was. She had startled her and embarrassed her, yet it was as if he did not care.

Kimmi nodded. "Did you see the tall shiny tower coming through town? That's Spiral Tower, home of the Mage's Guild. Our Lady of the Forest, Liliana Kairn, runs it as a haven for people who use arcane abilities. They say the casters who join gain ways to become extremely powerful." When Allysa came back over, she checked the next skills. "Alright, we'll finish out what else you still can learn. I have one skill related to your bloodline and three elemental skills. They're all fairly simple so it should take you no time at all."

Alaster listeneed closely to the woman's explanation of the guild, and immediately attached himself to the notion that he must visit with Allysa. "I do believe we shall have to pay them a visit at this tower. We truly do need all the help we can get." As he spoke to the Kiranu, Allysa made her approach back from training. When she spopke he sensed a hint of malice in her voice, and almost felt suffocated by something akin to anger coming from her. Taking a few steps back, the angel was happy to have the woman intervene and explain more skills to practice to the Kakurenbo.
As soon as she memorized the skills she was to learn, Allysa threw one more angry look in Alaster's direction and headed off to learn what she must. Deciding that the elemental skills would be best learned first, she headed off to the same area as where she practiced the two skills from before. Concentrating on the first of them, warmth, Allysa began to picture a small fire within herself. Drawing on her innate energy and manipulation skills, she felt power well up from within her, creating an invisible force within her. Warmth flowed throughout her body, it's glow invisible yet comforting.
Content with the ease that learning Warmth presented, Allysa felt as if she was on a role here in these woods. Maybe it was the atmosphere, or maybe it was just her. She would never know, but what she did know was that she must move on, and quickly. Bubble was next, and it would probably prove to be more rewarding. Pooling her energy outside of her body, the Kakurenbo began to combine it with the moisture in the air. Slowly, bubble shapes began to appear all around her, fromed from the mixture of water and energy. As they became more apparent and vivid, the girl could not help but smile and pop them with her fingers, happy that there seemed to be a fair amount of them surrounding her.
Once all the bubbles had been popped, the girl began to work on her next skill. Withdrawing her sword, she cut down a supply of leaves from the tree the stood behind her. As they fell to the ground, she collected five of them in her hand. Imbuing them with her energy, she felt the edges become sharper and harder in her palm. Allysa focusied on a tree fairly close to her, and willed the leaves to shoot straight towards it. As she expected, they did, and stuck in the side of the tree for a small while before falling to the ground below.
Immediately after finishing off Razor Darts, Allysa truned herself around and headed over to Alaster and the Kiranu. She knew how she wanted to practice Fool Scent, and it was to be used on the angel. He deserved it for his actions, and he would get what was coming to him. Walking up to the two, Allysa began to imbue ehr own skin with ehr energy, letting it pool over it in a slight secondary skin. As she felt herself sweat a tiny bit, the smell of ehr odour drifted into the air. She willed it to Alaster, covering the area around him in it. immeditely he twitched, feeling as if something touvhed his shoulder. Then he twitched again, his leg this time. The girl was imagining him covered in bugs from head to toe, and he felt the slight pricks from their being there. Smiling inwardly, she turned her attention to the Kiranu, and nodded slightly. "Done again."

As Alaster came to be calm once again, he went to stand beside Allysa. They would have to talk about what had just happened later... Bowing once again to the Kiranu, he spoke politely and calmly. "We shall head out then, and take water to this Jiaum. We shall not fail, and will return when appropriate." Nudging the Kakurenbo into a bow as well, they both rose in unison and began to leave. Finally an actual adventure would start, and hopefully it would not end terribly, as much often did.
