"You can touch him!" Nihl laughed, "But here, on the top, on his head. You don't want to accidentally hurt him." He held out the little creature for her to touch, "Don't worry I won't let him hurt you."
"Wonderful, they can conceive children on the beach. I don't care. As long as he's actually making children." Grigori took a seat for himself in the sand and pat the spot beside him, "Sit, lovey."

"I'm not sure I follow," Attorra gave the woman a confused look, "Not that I have much to grow into."

"Can I have sweeties if I do that? If I put him in a dress?" Afsana looked up at Paha, "And you can have some of my sweeties, but you have to give them to me."

Slowly Laci reached a hand out to the wiggling creature. Lightly she touched the top of it's head and jerked her hand away quickly. Then once again she reached out to it and pet it's hard shell. "It feels funny." she said finally pealing her eyes from the crab up to the captor's face, and smiled. "It's so ugly it's cute." Laci grinned.
Avarossa took a seat, in her husband's laugh. Wrapping her arms around his waist she sighed. "If we left them alone long enough, the girl would likely have a baby bump in a couple of months."

Avery smiled "You're still but a young man. You have to grow into yourself, that means. You haven't had time to become what your destined to be, weather or not that is a great adventurer, or a wonderful husband and father." lightly she kicked her bare feet in the cool water, watching as the ripples spread out in the pond. "Give yourself time to actually grow up before you think about failing. You haven't even had time to start down your path in life."

Paha had a absolutely devilish smile "You can have all the cookies you want if you do that."
Leonidas growled lightly. "Your army shall be turned against you, my lord. Remember who commands them when you can not." He was willing to let this little game go so fare.
"Is that a challenge Leonidas? You forget I could decimate you, and my whole army. Best remember who you serve." Paha's voice was still friendly, he didn't want to scare the child in his arms though he didn't think she would.

Nihl laughed, "I've never heard that about them before, but I suppose it's true." He lowered it back into the water, "Sorry little guy, calm down." It scurried away quickly and Nihl smiled as he watched it until it was out of sight. He turned back to Laci. "It's not so bad, right?"
Grigori sighed, "I know. And although not even that could really ruin Nihl's reputation, I'm not going to leave them alone."

"Looks like some people need to sit in the naughty chair!" Afsana shouted between them, "Hey I gots an idea! You get me cake, and I won't tell mommy and daddy!"

"No not really." Laci said with a nonchalant shrug of her shoulders. "What else can we find?" she asked already looking into the murky turning waters. "Is there anything around here I should be careful of?"
Wiggling in Grigori's lap trying to keep his attention. "As I have said before. It wouldn't be his reputation on the line, it would be hers." Avarossa sighed and laid her head on his chest. "I just hope he can find someone, not just to keep his bed warm, but someone he can enjoy his life with."

"Some people just have a slow start in life." Avery tried to explain. The poor kid obviously had issues with living up to his father. "Honestly sweetie, you're still young, just live your life to the fullest."

"Oh you know what!" Paha said bouncing the little girl again. "Why don't I show you the birthday present I got the king. You just have to promise me you wont tell anyone what it is. Can you do that?"

Nihl was working on removing his cape, and he thought a brief moment before answering, "Well, there are sharks and some of them are dangerous, but generally not unless you start it. Some crabs might pinch you, but that wouldn't hurt but a quick pinch." He tossed his cape onto the shore and began working at his belt. "Let's see, then there's the little stinging buggers - oh and the big ones- but if you shuffle your feet in the sand it will sort of notify them that you're there, versus scaring them into attacking." When he tossed the belt he began pulling his tunic up over his head and off before he tossed that too. "Mostly everything here just takes care of itself. You won't have any problems. "I'm going under right quick, care to join?"
Grigori laughed, "Believe me. If Millin could fall in love, anyone can." He wrapped an arm around her to hold her in place and rubbed her arm gently, "Nihl should want to join us anyhow, he must be bored when both of his best friends have families." It was then that Grigori looked back up at the nearly-naked king, "Dear god, already?" But he quickly realized it was likely just for a swim.

Attorra sighed, "Maybe one day." He looked at the pond for a small moment before he grew a bit of a peeved look and looked up, "And hopefully, in that time, no more leaders will make it necessary to make a fool of me with their oddly effeminate shemale princes."

"I can keep a secret for a price." Afsana was pretty straightforward, and generally, when he wanted something, she wouldn't back down. Occasionally she would change her methods, but she wouldn't stop trying."

Suddenly, the murky waters seemed a bit more fearsome. When she looked up, her companion had removed most of his clothing. Laci felt her blush burn up her neck and to her face. "Um sure." She said trying to keep her eyes on anything but him.
"Just because he sees you happy doesn't mean he might want to join in." Avarossa looked up when her husband announced his shock. "I think he has commitment issues." She looked up again to Grigori "Should we stop him?"

Avaery frowned. "I'm sorry. But you seemed to have lost me there."

"How about I let you see it before everyone else." That alone is a prize." Paha said laughing at the little girl. "If you weren't a human, I might worry one day you would be the one to take me from my throne"

Nihl stopped before he leapt in. He looked her up and down quickly and cocked a brow, "I hope not like that, you might ruin your dress even more." He shrugged, "It's your dress though." He started his move forward, sloshing through the waters until he was about knee-deep which is when he turned around and fell backwards into the sea. He was under the water for what seemed like a long moment before he surfaced and pushed his wet hair back out of his face, "Coming?"
"Is he trying to get her in too?" Grigori looked almost concerned, "My god. If she goes for it I'm putting her at the top of the list and I'll expect a proposal by week's end."

Attorra's face reddened, but it was likely in anger as much as it was embarrassment, "I don't want to talk about it."

"Ew. If I want to be queen I have to get married to a boy. Boys are icky." Afsana stuck out her little tongue and looked rather disgusted. "Take me to see this present and I will tell you if it's good enough."

Determined to leave a good impression, Laci nodded her head. Walking back to shore, She began undoing a could little buttons holding the top to her dress together, once those were undone, she slipping it off her shoulders and let it fall onto the sandy floor. Stepping out of it, she turned back to the water, her lighter under dress. Wadding back into the water she dragged her feet on the floor, making sure to scare off any animals lurking in the waters. Once she got about waist deep she took the dive. Laci surfaced not far from the side of her companion. "It's so salty!" She said whipping her face free of the water.
"I think you should start that list now." Avarossa said watching the two splashing around in the waters. "For she may have just stolen his heart right from out of his chest."

Trying not to laugh at the boy Avery nodded her head. "Oh alright."
Coming from the palace Kurag found the two sitting by the pond. "Avery, my love, Ah and the young lord. This is where the two of you are hiding."
Avery turned quickly, "Oh Kurag. Um yes, we were just enjoying some small chitchat." She said already on her feet and putting on her slippers.
Kurag made his way over. "Well Lord Attorra I am afraid I will be stealing my wife away." He threw an arm around the suddenly apprehensive women. "I think we should at least enjoy one dance together, love."

Paha laughed again. "Of course my young prince! Come along Leonidas. I might need your help with this." Paha called over his shoulder as he headed out to the back of the palace, where the horse stables were.
Leonidas sighed. He knew exactly what Paha meant to show the child, and he didn't think it was a good idea at all. Those beasts were wild, and dangerous, he wouldn't trust a child two courtyards away from them. He had seen Paha's kill multiple people.

"Wow. Should we begin writing the invitations, my love?"
Nihl smiled as the woman entered the water again in her skivvies. He waved her toward him, "Yes, it's best not to get any in your mouth or eyes, it's not very pleasant, at least at first with your eyes." he reached over and used his thumb to help wipe the water from her face, laughing, "You're alright though, aren't you?"

Attorra just nodded and thanked the woman for the chat, then returned to staring into the water.

The little girl looked confused, "I thought only boys are prince."

Avarossa nodded her head. "I believe so. Maybe they'll have the wedding out her. And they can swim off into the sunset after the actual wedding." She said laughing.
Laci whipped at her eyes, they were burning a little. "Yes it is only water." She could taste all the salt on her tongue, frowning up she stuck it out. "Ew. But I don't think I like the taste."

"Well I had heard you wanted to be a king. So in order to be a king you have to start to be a prince." Paha said still caring the child out to the back. Slowly he entered the palace's stables. Walking all the way back of the stables Paha made a soft clucking noises. A horse like head popped out the stall window. "There she is." He walked the two of them closer, massive horns sat on the beasts head, as her mouth opened to whinny one could see the sharp white teeth in her mouth.

"Not much you can do about that out here, unfortunately. There isn't really anything else to put in your mouth." Nihl nodded toward the horizon, "Shall we? Not too deep, but still fun. Eh?"
Grigori gave her a scolding look, "Don't laugh, you may have just laid out the ceremony for us. Should I be taking notes?"

"Kings are boys, dumb poo poo." Afsana rolled her little eyes. She silenced when they entered and saw the creatures though, and her little blue eyes widened until she stuck out her arms and shouted, "Cookie! I call him Cookie!" She wiggled her way out of Paha's grasp and dropped to the floor so she could run over to the creature.

Laci looked out onto the sea, as it's great blue body stretched out before them. "Sure. Just not too deep. I'm not sure how good I can really swim with this wet dress."
"They will have to pick the ceremony. We can just give ideas." Avarossa defended herself. "Any ways. I think we should be trying to get back soon. People will be getting worried. If not her own father."

As the child neared the larger of the two beats darted back into the stall. The smaller of the two, stayed put, head turned to her ears alert to her movements.
Quickly Paha intercepted the child. "No sweetheart. These two aren't really too friendly of new people." With Paha's words the larger female poked her head back out. She was clearly only interested in seeing Paha. "You see this is Cam, she is the mom to the little one, see it's her baby, he still has little baby horns and teeth."

Nihl smiled, "Don't worry, I won't let you drown. Once your eyes do get used to the salinity though, you can see quite clearly in this water. Meet you back at the surface!" He took a deep breath and plunged under the water, disappearing into the blue.
"Are you kidding?" Grigori scoffed, "Her father must be ecstatic. His daughter's the only one with the King's attention right now. I'm sure that's why he brought her in the first place, to marry her to him." He sighed, "What we should really get back for is our little hellion that we released on that unsuspecting general."

"Fine the baby can be Cookie. Can I pet it now?" Afsana was back to trying to escape the man's hold, "Please? I'll be really good! I want to pet him!"

Laci looked around to try and see just what way the king had swam, but she couldn't tell. Taking a large breath Laci dove under and swam in the same general direction. After a few moments the burn in her eyes began to let up. She could see small fish darting about in the water, doing their best to stay away from her.
Surfacing again, she turned to look back to the shore. Now farther off. Paddling to keep herself afloat she looked around to try and spot Nihl. "Your majesty?"
"I am sure her father is thrilled, but sooner or later he is going to wonder what happened to her." Avarossa sighed and snuggled closer. "If that poor man hasn't killed himself yet, I enjoy my alone time with you very much. I wish we had more of it."

Paha sighed and walked closer to the two beats, neither of them was growling yet, a good sign. "You must behave if I let you get any closer, they could kill you." He said keeping a good hold on Afsana and walking over to Cam, the mother. Paha pet the horned creature before taking Afsana's smaller hand in his and stretching it out to pet her as well. "We have to ask before we go in to pet the baby. No mother likes for you to just go up and bother her and her child."

Nihl resurfaced many long moments later. He had been doing this since childhood and could hold his breath for quite some time. He took a breath before wiping the water from his face and smiling at the woman once more, "How is it?"
"Nonsense." Grigori smiled, hugging the woman tightly to him, "You've certainly got to love the adventure."

Afsana was silent, but far from Awe. Nihl had once caught a shark and beckoned all of the children into the water to pet it. They made it to about the shore too before all of their parents ran to catch them. Parents were no fun. But her parents weren't here, and she was ready to pet the baby, "Done now, can we pet the baby?"
