Kallos was a tad more hesitant when he returned to attempt the clock smashing and searching again. Last time he'd seen people getting smacked in the face with springs, after all. He didn't want to have that happen to himself.
After he had listened to the story again and recieved the hammer and clock, Kallos looked around for a spot he could work in. Finding a nice place, he set down the clock and went to work.
Unfortunately, Kallos was still such a weakling that he couldn't even manage to smash the clock open. His hammering barely left a dent. At least he hadn't been hit in the face with a spring.
Ahwell, he'd have to try again later.

It's hammer time! Oppa grabbed the hammer on the table and smashed another clock. SPRONG! Something flew out of the clock and smacked Oppa right in the face. It really seemed like these gyms were more endurance tests than really helping anyone out. Oppa was surprised he was still alive.

Oppa didn't like the clock thing that much. He rubbed his forehead as he made his way through the gym. He noticed a lot of eyes in the distances of the gym but made no advances towards them. On the path ahead a strange creature was walking in circles. Oppa started walking towards it but scared it away. On the ground it seemed to have left a ... button? It didn't look like the animal was wearing clothes, but he picked it up for safe keeping anyways.

Roch shrugged and grabbed the hammer, slamming it down on the watch. The watch popped open and a spring went flying, hitting him hard in the nose. "Owww," he muttered, covering his nose with his hand and feeling a tiny trickle of blood. "It's not here," he told the demon in a muffled voice.

Still nursing a bloody nose, Roch stood and started looking around the booth. He could swear that he saw some minipets around here... possibly. But he was wrong, he guessed, because no matter how he looked, nothing looked back. Oh well. The sooner gone from this booth the happier his nose would be.
And to think, he'd actually thought about getting a nose ring...

Picking up the hammer, Xiu eyed the clock with a hint of hesitation. She was really supposed to...bash it open? Something about this really didn't seem safe but...heck, what was the worst that could happen?
Holding the hammer awkwardly over her head, the little Baku brought it down on the clock.
...And of all the clocks she could have chosen, this one happened to be trapped. With a yelp, Xiu jerked to the side, just for a piece of the clock to strike her on the cheek. It could have been worse--at least she hadn't been hit in the eye--but ow.

Well, she hadn't been very lucky with that, but...there were some minis running around here, right? Xiu wondered vaguely what kinds of minis they were--she had only seen them in the passing--and she took a better glance around at her surroundings.
Unfortunately, it seemed as if all the minis she had seen before had simply...vanished. Ah well, perhaps she could come back later.

It was all quite new to Gabrian whom had never considered using his minipets for battling (even if some of them could have been considered natural fighters, as far as he was concerned). Still, he figured that helping out was not a bad idea; specially if there was a change to win something along the way, and thus, when the time demon handed him the hammer, he smashed it over a random clock. The clock sprung open, to his surprise. Unfortunately, that's where the nix's luck stopped, given the fact that he merely got smacked in the face with a spring for his efforts. Better luck next time, he figured.

It was about time to swing around some more hammers, Aislin decided. This time, this time she would get that clock. She would crack it open like an egg. The banshee grabbed her weapon and swung down hard to strike against the watch's surface.
To be honest she hadn't expected it to pop open so easily.
Or the ticking. The ticking was alarming. This wasn't normal clock ticking, it was the kind of rapid ticking that happened when something was Ticking Down. With a gasp she scrambled back, scrabbling over a few gears and hiding behind one. The thought that she could just flicker into intangibility and survive any blast hadn't really crossed her mind.
She sat with her hands over her ears, pale blond hair floating about her head as she squeezed her eyes even more tightly shut. 10 seconds... 20... 1 minute.
She straightened up and glanced warily back over the gear she'd taken shelter behind. "Huh... must be a dud..." Well that was lucky.

The last clock hadn't had any bad effects, except for that weird ticking. She approached another clock. She lifted her hammer, sized it up, and took a whack at it.
BAMF.
When her hammer connected with the watch it did NOT just pop open as she expected. Without so much as a warning tick it exploded in her face.

Xiu was back again, deciding that she wanted to check around to see if there were any minis skittering about. Unfortunately, it seemed that she was not so lucky--despite the fact that she could have sworn that she saw something move from the corner of her eye, when she turned to look, it was gone.
Clearly they were playing games with her! She would just have to try again later.

Well, Sebastian had gotten over his traumatic experience with the first clock and had decided to attempt to break another. All for the good of the Trick or Treaters right?
Right.
Carefully he picked up the hammer and held it awkwardly in his hands. He hesitated for a moment. These clocks could really be put to a better use. After all, there was always a shortage of clocks in the Halloween world, wasn't there? Okay maybe he was just making up reasons to not hit the clock.
Seriously though, what if there was a minipet inside? He could hurt it! That would never do. These clocks were actually rather fashionable too. Maybe he could design an outfit with them. Really now, these excuses were getting ridiculous.
Sebastian decided to man up and brought the hammer down upon the poor, innocent clock. Almost at once it began beeping- so much so that Sebastian yelped and jumped back. He let out a barely audible squeal and then stared at the clock. Why wasn't it doing anything? Beeping usually meant something was going to happen, didn't it?
The undead boil decided to just give up on the whole endeavor. Too much work!

After his lovely encounter with one exploding clock and another dud clock, Sebastian decided it was just about time to pack up and hit the road again (metaphorically of course). He would be back, for certain, but at the moment he wanted to actually help some of the trick or treaters with their booths- not just sit there and destroy clocks.
As he was walking away though, a little blur caught his eye. What was that? Was something coming to get him? No it couldn't be. He was probably just tired from all the lifting and working out he'd done today.
Wait there it was again. Okay something was definitely stalking him. Now normally that was a sign of affection in Halloween, but this didn't really feel loving. In fact, it felt rather hostile. Extremely hostile.
Suddenly a blur to his left caught his attention, and then it was upon him. A bird was pecking at his arm, ferociously, almost with deadly intent. Just what had Sebastian done to upset the bird? Maybe the stupid thing didn't like stripes?
Whatever the reason, Sebastian flailed like a little ghoul until the bird finally got bored and flew off. Well that was annoying. Sebastian looked down at his now torn jacket. He would have to sew that when he got home. Home. That was a sad thought. Seb really liked this school, regardless of how ... quirky it was. He was melancholy to have to leave it really.
Shaking those thoughts from his head, he decided to stalk off somewhere to sew up his jacket before returning back to the booth.

Caethes didn't care too much for losing and with a hammer swung at the clock... only to find it had slid from his hands and landed square on his foot. Jumping and cursing he twirled a few times away from the clock, glaring at it. His luck was just getting progressively worse, and though determined to change it for himself had a feeling he should leave it be. With a heavy sigh he limped off back to the remaining booths in hopes of finding more that had been rebuilt.
He'd leave the hammer and clock behind and forget their existence until his determination found him again. For now he was happy enough to wander.
