"Just water please." Leafra looked at the pasta and wondered how to eat this since this was the first time she had it.

Moving back to the kitchen to retrieve the drinks, he returned a few moments later with two glasses of water. Noting her questioning look at the food, he set the glasses on the small table by his bed. "You put the fork in the pasta and twist it around the fork." he picked up his bowl, demonstrating as so. His fork lifted from the mass with noodles curled around it. "It might take a little practice, but you'll pick up fast." he promised, placing the fork in his mouth. Pulling away an empty fork, he wondered briefly if she had ever even used a fork as he chewed. It wasn't a complicated task, so he was sure that she would pick up on it quickly enough.

Leafra sat up and took the fork in her hand. She began to twirl into the bowl and soon she had noodles on it. She placed the fork into her mouth and pulled it out. The flavor of the tomato sauce was amazing it was so good that she had to take another bite.

Continuing to eat his meal, he looked up to check on how his guest was doing. He smiled faintly at her reaction to the meal, and he quickly swallowed what was in his mouth to speak. "So? How is it?" he prompted, hoping that the meal was to her liking. He was under the impression that she was enjoying it from her reaction, but one could never know until one asked. Picking up his cup, he took a drink of water without averting his eyes from his guest. He wasn't the most amazing cook, and the pasta and sauce were far from top quality, but they weren't trash either and he at least hadn't burned anything.

"It's amazing. I have never had anything like it before." Leafra continued to eat the pasta. She took the glass that was beside her and drank some of the water. She was use to drinking water. "I bet you know a lot of different types of good food."

Obviously pleased by her reaction, the griffin set his glass aside. "I'm glad you like it. I like Italian food." not that she was likely to know what he meant by that, but it was too late to take it back now. Solo smiled at her comment about knowing food, not sure about that. "I spent most of my life in Europe, so I've been exposed to a lot of types of foods." Griffens had a tendency to eat mostly meat, at least in the past; the community he had come from had begun to modernize, however, so it wasn't bad. "But they serve all sorts of food in the cafeteria, and there are a bunch of different places to eat around here. You'll have plenty of chances to eat all sorts of things."

"So you are saying that there other foods like this." Leafra had finished her bowl and the finished the water. She sighed and was content with her fill.

Finishing his meal, he held the empty bowl while reaching out to take hers as well. "Yes, of course." he answered, stacking the empty cups as well. "There's a lot of different kinds of pasta. But that's not all there is to Italian food." he told her, moving to the kitchen to place the dirty dishes in the sink. Returning to his bedroom, the man moved across the room to his shelves of various magical island. The girl was looking better, the healing magic taking effect, but there was something else he could do. Examining a wooden stand holding a variety of test tubes, he selected a light pink one. He turned, moving back across the room and offering the vial to her. "Take this tomorrow morning. It should help the healing."

Leafra slowly got up and looked at the vial that Solo had given her. "I guess I should be going back to my room. Thanks again I hope to see you again." She began to leave not sure what he was going to do. He had saved her life and she had to repay someone in some means but at the moment was not sure on how.

As she stood, he moved to escort her to the door. "I'm sure we'll see each other again." he told her, opening the front door for her. "Actually, starting this coming semester I'll be the art teacher here. So if you're interested in art, you can take one of my classes." he smiled, wondering if she would be interested. "As such, I'll be moving to a different floor. But if you ever need any help, I'll be on the third floor with the other teachers." Solo seemed more relaxed now, relieved that she seemed to be feeling better. "Take it easy for a few days, though, alright? I'm afraid your wounds might reopen otherwise." it was best to warn her about it, so she didn't just go about as if nothing happened.

"Um I am in choir right now but if you need a model for one of your classes I would be willing to do it." Leafra smiled. She still could not come to tell Solo that she had no money and would have to work. "Um Solo if someone was looking for work where would they go to find one?" She looked down when she asked this.

He didn't know if he would need a model, he still would make a note of it. The new teacher smiled, hands moving to rest casually in his pockets. As for work, he stopped to consider a few moments to consider the places some of his friends had worked at over the years. "There are multiple places on the island. I hear there's a shop that's hiring, or you could try to Italian restaurant." Never having worked himself, he wasn't sure where might be best. "But there are a couple places nearby that might be hiring, what with all the graduates leaving."
