Alexis glares at the boy, "Did that little fool make you crawl on your belly cause he's not brave enough to do it himself?" Alexis growled. Just hearing the name of that foolish captain made her want to tear his little lackey to shreds, but there was Anchor Annie to worry about. If Alexis tried to kill the boy, Annie would probably kill her. She continued growling at the boy, waiting to see how he would respond.

Tracey was very taken aback; he hadn't expected this kind of reaction from the lady. Apparently people were right about it being foolish to get close to Dragon-kin, and that two were suicide. However, he didn't want to return to the ship empty handed, speaking to her with respect, in hopes it might calm her down a bit he remarks, "Excuse me, Miss, I don't recall doing you any harm in the past to merit any ill will."
Then he answered her question, "He sent me here because we are going to ship out soon and he wished for to give you a personally invitation to join the crew. Unfortunately, an unknown pirate ship is near by and he must stay with ship to command the crew to fight back should the unknown ship decide to wish to attack us." Deciding to modify the captain's words a little he stats, "Miss, if you want of this island, the Aurarius is your best chance to work with a crew that will not treat you differently. Even if you do not like the captain, so long as you can respect him, promotions are not far away as well as adventure." What did the captain do to anger this lady and why didn't he WARN him? He was really feeling uneasy about a captain that did not see to it that his crew was well armed for battle, and prepared for confertations.

Annie flashed a gaping rotten-toothed smile as she surveyed her patrons. She loved when pirates came to the Isla, loved their stories and how they smelled of the sea. She missed the life of a swashbuckler, though truthfully as a ship's cook, she buckled nary a swash.
None of this lot looked very high in rank, but she didn't mind. Waddling over to the private tables with a thump of her peg leg, Annie wiped them down in hopes that a Captain or other high ranking crew may use them before the ships decided to sail off for more adventure.

Alexis sighed, "You have done nothing, it's your thick-skulled Captain that did things," she laughed, "I'll talk to him... But I make no promises that I'll join his ship, especially if he acts like he did before." Alexis stands up, "We should go now before he decides to leave, aye?" Alexis laughed softly, wondering if Aiden finally came to his sences, or if he was dumb enough to waste more of her time. She nods to Tracey then nods to Annie to say thank you for the meal.

Annie waves a pudgey hand at Alexis, the fat on her upper arm jiggling. "Take care, lass! AND COME WITH MONEY NEXT TIME!" Grinning cheekily she returned to cleaning the tables.

A lone figure hunched against the bar, looking very much as if she wanted to hide herself. She just couldn't get quite used to piracy, and all it entailed- cue Elizabeth Ivy, a lone figure who suddenly found herself in a situation that went beyond her control. It had started as an escape from vile, hated finishing school, and somehow she was here, wanting to be a pirate. For all her romantic notions, she doubted that she was ready for the hard sea life. Elizabeth was used to being somewhat pampered, and the week she had spent away from home already seemed like an eternity.
With obvious longing, the young woman looked towards the door of the pub. Her bow and arrows were there, conspicous among cutlasses and other more piratey weapons. Humph. She'd shown them though. She'd show that her place was going to be ripe among a pirate crew, and that she could prove to be worth all of them combined.
((OOC: Kieko told me to post here to get Elizabeth picked up for her ship. >.>))

Tracey was happy he didn't have to fight too hard for her to go to the captain. He could fight his own battle from here on out. "Thank you, Miss." He really didn't want to be left behind; however, the orders were clear. He told her, "I cannot, Miss, I do not wish to be left behind, but my orders are to gather up those accept and find willing, capable corsairs that haven't met up with the Captain yet." The use of the term corsair was because he wasn't a fool and didn't want to attract unwanted attention from the wrong sort. He would be so disappointed if he was left behind; however, he wasn't going to let the fear of being left behind interfere with his command.
Who better to know who was looking for a ship but the one that serves them drink? To Annie, the one that looked in charge of the bar he asks, "Ma'am, would you happen to know who is looking for a ticket off of this island?" Of course, he felt weird asking her to give up customers like that and hoped she'd answer anyway.

Annie gave the boy a conspiratorial wink. "There be a good many folk lookin' fer adventure. Sadly, I can't help ya. None of tha usuals have been talkin' on it. There be quite a few new faces, truth be told. You'll just haveta hold some interviews."

Tracey nodded, agreeing with her, "Thank you, Ma'am." Looking around the tavern, the one place he hated as much as the thought of being in a jail cell. Keeping all of that to himself, he looks around and waits for the first person to speak that would be who he'd talk to first.

A ticket off of this cursed island? Elizabeth's ears pricked up, and she swiveled her head to regard Tracey. "I'd like to get out of here." She tried to roughen her voice, though it was impossible she could be mistaken as a man.
"Any ticket out of here." She meant it. If piracy was what she would have to resort to... so be it. Really, anything short of selling her body was fine. "What ways have ye?" Her pirate speech was silly, taken only from what books she could gather about pirates- mostly romances of the era, and some adventure stories that made the life far more glorious then it actually was. "Please." Ah, that good breeding was peeking out.

Tracey looked at the woman, just hearing her speak, that ridiculous pirate voice impersonation alone was a dead give away that she was probably a pampered pup.
However, he would give her the benefit of the doubt. "Piracy, of course. I have two questions for you, if you want this ticket. Why would you want to become a pirate and just what do you know about piracy?" The fact that she spoke well was a boon and a mark against her. He could speak well because he worked extra hard on his own, it could mean that she had, or that she was a spoiled brat unable to hand the rough life of piracy.

Elizabeth cursed herself inwardly. She should have just spoken as she would naturally, instead of trying to put up this silly front.
"I will admit, firstly, that I know almost nothing of piracy." Elizabeth spoke plainly now, the southern English twinging her voice. She was clearly Cornish, for those who knew the verdant isle. "Everything I know is from silly books I've read." She shrugged her pale shoulders fluidly, glancing about herself furitively. "I want a new life. Piracy seems a rather exciting option. I'd like to think of myself as harder than I appear. Would you like a demonstration?" A wicked grin touched the young woman's lips suddenly.

Tracey didn't look too impressed. Pretty much was what he thought she was. Not completely counting her out he tells her something, "I got a secret for you, the pirates are not what is romanized in the books. Do you think you can handle killing people, setting their dreams and lives on fire? Taking everything they have? Going months on awful tasting food? Have you ever seen a sea battle?" Yeah, he was talking and asking a lot, but he was trying to unnerve her or at least get enough information to come up with an idea of her abilities.
He didn't want to be in a battle and have her run away. To that useless question he adds, "Oh, I know I'll get a demonstration, there is no doubt of that."

"Oh, I know they aren't. My dad owns a few ships. He's a merchant- thus, I know a few things about piracy. I know both sides of the coin." Perhaps mentioning her father was not the best thing to do, but Elizabeth knew that there was a plus side to all of this. "I also know several of the best, little known routes, what the ships carry, and their inventory. It matters little to me if they be my father's ships or not. Merchants and pirates, they're all the same. Crude." She shrugged. There really was a fine line between the two, and her father's pride could be knocked down a few pegs by the loss of a few ships.
"As for killing... I don't mind. I've never been one to be afraid of blood, especially if its blood that is threatening my own life. Self-preservation is the key; heroics are fine in the stories, but not very practical in real life."
Suddenly standing, Elizabeth walked to the front of the bar quickly, slinging her quiver over her shoulders. "I trust you know what arrows shoot from. How many of your pirates can use this to hit the target the size of an eye from two ship's length away?" Maybe two was a wee bit of exaggeration...

Alexis sighed and made sure to tell Tracey, "If your Captain makes me want to hurt someone, I'll make sure to remember that it was you that convinced me to go see him," She winks at Tracey and smiles in a way some may call devious. She then walked out of the Golden Cutlass and out into Isla Olvidada, ready to confront the thick-skulled captain one more time.
