“Absolutely!” with that said Fi moved forward and kissed Niji’s cheek before doing a small hop and launching herself up in the air. Her wings snapped open and she started forward. She looked under herself and back at Niji to see if the skittle phim was following her She really liked Niji, the little phim was fun.
Fi looked ahead so that she could concentrate on flying and finding a good place to settle down. As she flew her mind started to wander. The image of Niji’s lithe little body crept into her imagination. That soft, sweet strange looking fur. The fluffiness of her main and tail. The crisp clean edge of her feathers. Fi felt a stirring in her gut and a warmth surge through her. She purred more to herself than to anyone or anything else as she allowed her mind to enjoy itself. A smirk graced her face as she daydreamed.

Niji kept up behind Fi, watching the vixen. She was.... she'd be alright, right? Course she would be. Yea. Though the vixen still... No. She needed to stop worrying over this. Fi was a kind vixen, she shouldn't be so upset over all this...
But Niji really wanted to tell Fi how she felt. Though, she wouldn't she decided. She didn't want to lose what they had currently. Flapping her wings to slide up closer to the girl.
"Will we be..sharing dens?"

“Sharing a den?” Fi smiled wickedly as she considered it. Of course they would be sharring a den. How else would she pounce Niji in the middle of the night? “Well it would be more convent to have one den rather than two. After all if we had separate dens we’d have to take the time and find two separate places. It’s just a lot easier to find one place than two, right?” Fi rolled her eyes as she spoke her made up excuse. It made sense on a rational sense, but it wasn’t why she wanted one den.

Nodding quietly, her eyes scanned the ground for possible dens. Ah! "What about that cave?" She asked, flying a little lower to paw at the direction of the cave. Hrm, a cave. A good place to sleep and rest and hide in!
Pleased with her success, she looked at the 'Daeva, hoping that the vixen would praise her and be pleased. Ahn. Praise... like last nights praise?
No no noooooo. Bad Niji! She shook her head wildly, nearly flying into a tree.

Looking in the direction of Niji’s pointing Fi smiled at Niji. “That’s perfect Niji.” She laughed when Niji nearly hit a tree. “Careful a smushed skittle doesn’t sound very appetizing you know.” With that being said and Niji not actually hitting the tree Fi decided to check the cave out. She swooped down and landed clearing away any sharp little sticks with her flames before her feet landed and the flap of her wings extinguished any remaining flames.
“Well now let’s see if this place is unoccupied and up for grabs.”

"Alright!" She chirped, pleased when Fi praised her choice, landing on all fours. Flicking her tail rapidly side to side, she began to head for the cave, pleased with her success. As she headed for it she turned around, watching Fi.
"What if your sister does find us? What then?" She asked softly, head tilting. "And she thinks I kidnapped you?!"

“mmm…?” Fi looked at Niji wonderingly. Perhaps Reo would yell and scream and drag her back, or maybe she’d take pity and try to tell Niji that Fi was only playing with her? Only the modeities knew what Reo would do. It all depended on her mood when Reo landed.
“Well then we’ll just have to convince her to leave. Maybe you can pretend to threaten my life if she won’t leave.” Fi smiled and Niji not serious in the least. “Or we can say we eloped and stuff.”

"A-Ah. Yea. Eloped." There it was, that tugging grip on her heart. The innocent 'Phim nodded, smiling slightly before turning to explore the cave, her smile becoming a frown when she was turned away from Fi. She didn't know anymore if she could pretend that much longer. She was happy to be with her friend but it hurt pretending and knowing that was all it was. Yet it was to keep her friend safe, she'd do anything for her. That meant playing this game. That meant nodding whenever someone asked if you two were mates.
But didn't that make them mates if they said they were? Wasn't that all it needed, a bond made by words? Mates were often established with words, so why couldn't it be established with a mere "yes" from her, even if it was originally a game? No. Because Fi didn't feel that way to her, so even if they said they were mates to get away from her sister at the end of the day they went home and continued their life of not being mates.
....
It hurt.

This was exciting! She was in an unknown place with a smexy little treat. Fi hoped that her twin wouldn’t find them for a while since the more time Reoakee spent elsewhere the more time Fi had Niji all to herself. As soon as Reo came Niji might think the game was up and leave. Fi didn’t that. She wanted to spoil and play with Niji. Who knows maybe by the time Reo found them she could convince the little savory skittle to really be her mate and then she could torment Niji all she wanted without fear of her ever so logical twin trying to save the day. That was one thing Fi nearly disliked about her twin. Reo had a logic for everything. Twisted at times, but there even when the phim didn’t realize it.
Fi sniffed with some disdain as she used a paw to kick a pebble out of the cave. There were a lot of annoying little rocks littering the place. If she were going to stay here she’d be cleaning the place up and preparing a nice big bed. Just for her and Niji. “You know we’re gonna have to clear all these rocks out before we put our bed in here right?”

"I don't mind helping by flapping my wings to get most of the dirt out! With the stones.... our tails?" She looked up, tail wagging randomly the second she saw Fi. Whenever she saw the vixen she couldn't help it, even if she was hurting she also was delighted to see her.
"Ah! A bed? Like.... make a soft bed? I usually sleep on the ground!" Interest popped in her eyes, tail flicking. So... what could be used for a bed? Hmmmm! Themselves? Hrn. Leaves?

Fi nodded. “Yeah.. Yeah that’ll work. I’ll let you dust the place and start on the rocks while I go fetch us some nice bedding. Now I’ll only grab what I can carry, which means one bed not two.. And we’ll have to stay close and share it~” She glanced at Niji to see the phims reaction. She always could go back for more, but well she wanted one bed, and Niji in paw’s reach of her.

"S-Sure." Nodding softly, her head turned away as she began to blush softly. "Be safe." Pausing, she licked Fi on the cheek briefly, scurrying off to both hide and begin to sweep the cave.
She could indulge... just a little, right? Even if this was a game to Fi, to Niji it wasn't. She'd cherish this "game" until it ended, and always remember the days that Niji got to be Fi's "mate".

Safe? Fi snorted. Who lacked enough of a brain to mess with a deava? She’d roast any idiot that came within reach of her flames. “Course” Hearing Niji scamper off she went to the mouth of the cave and took off to go find some soft bedding. Those purple bush things she had seen before. Those looked soft enough to bed down in. She’d dig up one or two of those purple bushes and then bam instant bedding for two.

When Fi was gone, Niji's head raised softly. Hrn. She.... she wasn't going to be depressed. Not currently. Perhaps after Fi left her side, then she could. Right now, she should be honored and happy Fi choose her. A smile touched her lips as she swept, when she was finished with both the dirt and stone removal, she fluttered her wings, exiting the cave in search of a light snack for the two.
Though, meeting Fi's sister... if this happened she would probably die. No. She would much rather just relax beside Fi. If they never saw the sister than perhaps Fi could stay by her side forever?
"Eeep." A tiny blush touched her cheeks, shaking her head. Stupid! Don't get silly ideas!

Fi flew swiftly to where she remembered the purple plants. She dug them up at the roots and managed to pull up a dozen of the plants before realizing that only half a dozen would make up one bed large enough for two phim comfortably. She mused over the plants for a moment before grimicing and taking seven of the plants and promptly burning them into cinders. “oopsy, well I guess five will have to do for Niji and I.” Smiling to herself she took her time and tangled the roots together while so she didn’t drop one in flight. Then she scooped up her load and took off. She flew slowly and carefully so as not to drop her load. She dropped her load outside the cave and then dragged it in. “Sorry Niji I could only get five of these up. The rest were just too deeply rooted to get out easily.” She shrugged and looked an Niji grinning. “so we’ll just have to cuddle up alright?”
