.::Boros & Rem & Geisha & Will & Mako & Siegfried::.

Stark's mind twitched at Eridanus' address. He stirred forward, intrigued by what the Eevee told him.

It's... tempting, he thought hazily. He looked at the carnage around them- so many dead and gone, and for what? A Gardevoir? One Pokemon did not seem worth all of this.

And I'd never have to worry about losing control again...

Boros humphed loudly. "Stark," he began, sounding oddly mature, "I know how f**ked up this is, coming from me, but be reasonable." Stark's mind recoiled slightly, but Boros steamrolled over him.

"Firstly, when have I ever done something bad- to someone who didn't deserve it. Secondly, who's to say that once we hand over that Gardy, that freak doesn't just vaporize us, anyway?" Stark seemed to ponder these thoughts for a time, so Boros continued.

"And finally... if we give in, we're all dead anyway- Jirachi, or no. We have to keep fighting, Whitey. If we falter, everything you see here," he said, gesturing about, "will be everywhere."

Stark's mind settled dully, as though resigned. He knew he was right. Boros chuckled as his fur began to lighten to grey.

"Submission is the coward's road. And on that road are a thousand deaths for you to suffer. A hero dies but once." and with that, the darkness flew from Stark's shoulders, leaving a very sad, distraught, confused Absol.

Think about it, whispered Boros.

((EDIT: Traded my Electric recruit for Nonaggression's Water one. Thanks, Desu!))

User Image~Aidan & Nadia

Nadia stood, panting with exhaustion as their enemy spoke. Attacks dying down all around her. From the looks of things he was just going to walk out, just going to leave without any more of a fight. In her mind, the guild, as a whole, had failed. However, for the moment there were more important things to worry about.
"I'm Nadia by the way."
She had neglected to introduce herself earlier but her words were obviously flustered as she curtsied towards the Pikachu she had been fighting alongside of all this time.
"I-I'm sure my team could send some compensation your way need be for you all watching over us during this. Thank you once again."
She would have waited for an answer to her offer but she hoped her actions would be forgiven as she, with great haste, about-faced and went towards the still limp body of her brother.
Just as she made her way to his side, Aidan was appearing to come back into consciousness. Looking over the male Riolu he was undoubtedly a mess worth fretting over; patches of his fur were singed where electricity gathered and sparked while in other areas it was comically standing on end.
"C-Could you stand?"
A whimpering high-pitched voiced picked an appropriate inquiry to start with before an onslaught of others came out. With this an outstretched hand accompanied Nadia's words.
"I'm fine."
She got nothing more and knew there was no point in even continuing with interrogating her brother's state of heath as the cold response took its desired effect. In a series of slow and paining motions, the larger Riolu refused to accept his sisters aid and proceeded to push himself up off the ground for himself; once upright teetering a bit in place before making his limping way for the door expecting his sister to follow in her own time. Little did either know of the news in store for them once they were back int he sanctity of their team room.

Era & Ethfael & Riley & Eon

Eon smiled weakly in response to Nadia's comment. Names seemed slightly inconsequential after being almost burned to a crisp by Judgement and having seen all the horrible things that had taken place. Nadia and Aidan though, he would remember the Riolu pair. "No, no, you don't have to do anything for me," he said modestly, his words genuine, "Just so long as you two are alright." He watched Nadia race off over to her brother and kept a close eye on the two until they had wandered off before looking back to find his own Team. The Pikachu had thoughts to check on them later, he wouldn't feel right without making sure everything was okay with them. With a sigh, he closed his eyes and stood there for a moment before starting his trek across the room to Era and Ethfael.

It was too much, this was far too much for Era to take. She wanted to bury her head into Ethfael's side and not look back, to pretend that it wasn't happening, but she knew that she couldn't. When Eridanus' shout cut the fight to a halt, the Pikachu turned to look at the Eevee, her Dragonair partner's gaze mirroring their own as the listened, watching with dismay as they saw him heal himself to the point that it looked as though they hadn't done anything at all. We didn't do anything at all... it was all she could do to keep that thought out of her mind. They had hurt Eridanus, he was somehow, weaker than before. If she couldn't believe that then she knew that her hopes would be crushed, and that was not something she was willing to give up. "Without hope, we have nothing..." she murmured under her breath, so soft that no one could hear it. Still though, saying those words gave her confidence, gave her the strength to stare Eridanus down, unfaltering as he spoke.

When he showed them the picture of the Gardevoir, both Era and Ethfael started slightly. That was Alfred, there was no questioning it, but why Eridanus would want him was beyond either of them. Era's heart leaped to her throat at the sight of the Jirachi in the cage, taken aback by the cruelty that she saw before her. This Eevee...This monster would stop at no level of cruelty, would he? Ethfael seemed to share her disgust at the sight, the Dragonair raising his head up from the ground in spite of his terrible burns to stare with unveiled distaste at the sight before him. When Eridanus' gaze fell on them, the pair stared back at him defiantly; Era with anger and Ethfael with absolute fury. The Eevee was gone before they could respond, but Ethfael still glared at the place where he had stood. "How dare he..." the Dragonair hissed, loathing evident in his words, "Acting as though he cares about anything that we're going through." Ethfael didn't buy a word of the Eevee's eloquent speech, no matter how pretty it sounded.

Era nodded in agreement, her thoughts moving faster than she would have thought possible. Part of her was tempted to believe Eridanus' words, but her loyalty to everything she believed in kept her from doing so. She wouldn't betray someone she knew, and that included Alfred. Not only that, but her rationality kept her in check as well; they had a Jirachi already, if they could wish away the problem they would have done so already. No, this was something that they had to face from the front, there was no way around it. As she looked around the hall Era's eyes traced the places where fallen Pokemon lay, not all of them were dead but there were five that lay lifeless, and all but one she recognized. A dark Gardevoir, Lucinda, was fallen beside a gray Blaziken who she didn't know, and a Typhlosion who she recognized although she didn't know his name. Celsus the Gyarados was unmoving near where Eridanus had been, and next to him, a little Dratini, who she recognized as the one named Claire. The sight of the last two brought tears to her eyes and they spilled down her cheeks silently. So many dead...so many dead and the Hospital in ruins which made more dead... A bitter feeling of resentment stirred in Era's heart and she looked darkly near where Eridanus had last been seen. "Even though you can't hear me Eridanus, you should know that we won't stand for this," she said, "We're a Guild, we work together, it's our job, our duty to protect people and that's what we're going to do. Everyone here is willing to give their life to keep the Pokemon safe, and if we have to then we will. We won't just lay down and take this, we'll fight until the end, until we have nothing left. You can kill us but so long as there's one left who believes then we aren't really dead." The speech was a brave one for a Pikachu but that was what Era believed, what she had to believe. With a sigh that spoke of the weariness and pain that beleaguered them all, she turned to head back with one last saddened look at the carnage here. Eon joined them in a few moments as they headed back to the sanctuary of home.
