"S-sorry.." Dametri said before standing up. He followed they're gaze's to the guy and the Absol, he looked at Kurenai then back to the guy. Dametri took a defenive stance as a bit of steam came out of his mouth, meaning he was ready to protect Kurenai and the other's. "It's alright, I won't let him near you."

Vince blinked, lightly scratching his cheek. "Uh, hey Absol...you don't think that they...ah!" he yelled out, tumbling down the hill. Absol had used the distraction to nudge him a little harder, which knocked him off balance. When Vince reached the bottom of the hill, he face planted the dirt, landing right in front of the small group. Absol just casually walked down and next to Vince like nothing happened.

Kurenai jumped slightly when Vince fell. Shinx tilted his head at Absol and hopped out of Kurenai's arms, trotting up to the larger Pokemon with a tilted head. "Sh-shinx! G-get back here!" Kurenai said, hoping the Absol wasn't going to attack. Though with the casual look the Pokemon had, it was highly doubtful. The strangely colored Shinx only glanced back at Kurenai before looking up at Absol again. "You did that on purpose," Shinx said with a grin in Pokemon language.

Absol looked down at the Shinx, tilting her head. "Yup. He's gotta stop being anti social sometime." Absol said to the Shinx, looking over at Vince, who sighed, and sat up on his knees, his face covered in dirt.

Dameri chouldn't help but relax and chuckle. "On second thought, I think this guy Isn't that bad at all Kurenai." He said before walking over to Vince, he held out a hand.

Kurenai remained where she was for a bit before cautiously following Dametri over to Vince. She still stayed behind Dametri a bit just in case since she was still nervous.
Shinx just smiled and shrugged. "It's alright." He paused for a moment, looking over Absol before sitting down in front of the other Pokemon. "You were never in the labs, were you," he guessed. "I was. Kurenai tested on me and changed my fur color from blue to white, but the black and gold is still normal. It wasn't all bad actually, but those other scientists that were in the lab were mean..."

Vince looked up at Kurenai and Dametri and scooted back slightly, apparently really shy.
Absol looked down at the Shinx, sitting as well. "You'd be right. But our story's a bit more...complicated. she looked at Vince. "His parents abandoned him when he was just a little kid...He found me, also abandoned, and still just a small child. We've been together for quite some time. In truth...? I'm his one and only friend...I've been trying to get him to socialize, but it's never worked until now."

Dametri glanced at Absol. "Socialize? That Isn't a hard thing to do, just start out with saying Hi and carry on from there." He said. Since he was still half pokemon, he could understand Absol clearly.

Shinx nodded slightly. "Ah... Well, Kurenai's mom died and her dad is one of the scientists in Team Genetics. She grew up with doing small experiments on Pokemon, like me, but in the end when she saw how bad the other scientists were, she tried blowing the labs up to stop Team Genetics. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out so well... Team Genetics is still back and Kurenai is needed back at the labs."
Kurenai slowly relaxed when she noticed Vince being shy. He was nervous like she was, so she knew there wasn't any harm. She sat down slowly in front of Vince with her head tilted.

Vince scooted back more, when he felt Absol's head in his back. He sighed then stood. "You're right, you're right..." he said to his Absol before looking back at Kurenai and Dametri. "I...I'm Vince..." he stuttered, really quiet.
Absol walked back to Shinx, satisfied. Sitting back down next to Shinx, she looked at Dametri. "I knew there was something different about you...and it is hard when you're him..." she said before looking back at Shinx. "Well...if she...Kurenai you said? If she told him that, he'd most likely offer some kind of help. That's the ONLY time he's ever been social. It's odd really..."

"Really? Hm... One moment. I gots an idea." Shinx trotted over to Kurenai who now stood up. "My name's Kurenai..." Shinx looked up at her and pawed at her leg, then jumped into her arms. He snatched the lanyard that was hidden around her neck and jumped down again. "Sh-shinx!" He held up the lanyard for Vince to see: an ID lanyard with a barcode for opening electronic doors. It even said Team Genetics Researcher on it.

Vince and Absol both tilted their heads at the exact same time. Vince knelt down and gently took the ID card, and looked at it, flipping it over once. "Team Genetics...? I've heard of other teams, but this ones new to me." he said, looking up at Kurenai.
Absol looked at Shinx. "So, you're planning on making her tell him huh...?" she said to Shinx.

Shinx trotted over to Absol's side and nodded. "Yep~ It's the best way to get her to say it."
Kurenai snatched the card from him and put it back around her neck, hiding it under her shirt like before. She glared once at Shinx but sighed and turned back to Vince. "Team Genetics is a team of pokemon scientists and hunters. The hunters captured pokemon... and people... then the scientists would experiment on them... My dad's one of the head scientists, so it was only natural that I got dragged into it. Shinx is one of my own experiments with his altered fur color. But then I saw what the others were really doing to the pokemon and people, making others hybrids like Dametri. I tried getting rid of Team Genetics by um... blowing up the labs..." She paused and looked down, scratching the back of her head. "Unfortunately they weren't gone for long. They're back with new labs and catching people and pokemon again... I ran away but they're after me too..."

Absol seemed to smirk. "That did it, just watch..."
Vince blinked then shook his head. "Th...that's wrong! Really wrong! I can't stand idly by and let that happen!" he put his left hand on his hip, his legs spread slightly, and his thumb on his right hand pointed at himself. "Count me in! Absol and I will show these guys the error of their ways!" he said smirking. A total personality change.
Absol looked down at Shinx. "Told you."

Kurenai blinked in surprised at the sudden change in personality. "I-i... um... O-ok?..." she muttered, half questioning because of the sudden change. She rested a hand on her head with a confused look.
"I see.... He's weird," Shinx muttered, looking up at Absol.
