Sighing, Marcus set the mallet down. "In the end I hurt you, and that is why I ******** up Cass." It was weird, being unable to see a girl while looking at the body of a taller, male, incubus golem
Tall, dark and handsome golem no less. He twitched at that last part.
"My..little friend even called me out on my stupidity. You put yourself in harm's way. For me." Reaching up he yanked down on a horn, pulling her into a hug. It was the best he could do. He lowered his voice to a whisper. "I'm the moon remember? You're mist. It's my job to protect you, not the other way around."

Little friends, huh? Cass sort of wondered if she should have considered Nicodemus a friend or a highly disapproving parental figure that wanted nothing more but to make sure his ward stayed straight on the path. Like a father, perhaps.
There was a 'oomph' noise as the horn was pulled on, but Cass was smart enough to not resist the gesture even with the new body. She didn't have any desire to fight with Marcus now that she'd allowed herself to reach her breaking point once since she'd blown her head clean off. She wrapped her arms around the smaller golem, squeezing tightly with the offered hug in reciprocation.
"I don't need some job description telling me I'm not allowed to do something because I wasn't assigned to it. I'll be anything I need to be if the situation calls for it. I just..." she buried her face into the smaller shoulder of the red dragon, squeezing tighter...hopefully hugs wouldn't break golems, because that would have been awkward..and disastrous. "I couldn't not act."
She held on for a few seconds longer before she finally let go, sighing. "I think right now the thing I need to worry about more than what already has passed without being worse than it could have been is....Miss Aria's request..." Demand.... "Though you need to stop being good at all this stuff." she added with a laugh, scratching the back of her head.

Here puppy puppy puppy! Gale had been wandering around the festival for quite some time before he saw the fluffy barking thing and the mallets (and a pair that looked suspiciously like that Marcus guy and Cass hugging, but he studiously ignored looking in that direction). Carefully he slipped a mallet from the table and approached the tiny dog thing, brushing long, frosty hair away from his face.

Marcus pulled up the tiny egg he'd stolen from the dragon, "...." Looking at Cass, he smirked, placing it in her hands. "Next time, I'll do better." The smirk got wider. "We still on for our date after all this?"

"...?" Cass could have sworn she'd seen one of those things that Marcus was holding back at the booth of that other red dragon. Had...Marcus somehow gotten one even after causing that scene? The thought about it left Cass's head just as quickly as the boy (ghoul? s**t, she was starting to get a headache) put the egg into her hands.
She looked at it, then at Marcus, then at the egg again.
"This.....I can...have it?" she seemed sort of stupefied by the idea of it. Nicodemus nudged the back of her head.
Don't take too much advantage of the affection of boils. You do need to work on carrying your own weight. he reminded. Cass just seemed far too giddy about it. She probably would have just grabbed Marcus and laid a kiss on him right then and there if they weren't in golems..

"This.. this is plenty. You have no idea." she just beamed, grinning right back at him. Her grin made no effort to dim when he made his inquiry about their post-mission plans.
"I think we still are still on for that. Which..." she looked at the egg, then the other two items she had, "on that note, we should be able to get this over with now that we've got this taken care of."
Cassandra, it's getting sort of bright in the back of your head here. A lot of...sunshine in your thoughts.

People were still trying to hit that poor cute fluffy pup with mallets? She bent down and opened her arms trying to offer it some temporary refuge with a cuddly hug. Poor thing, no wonder it was running around barking like a basketcase.

Wasn't this the same dog from the boat on the field trip? Oh man, He really owed this dog a attempt at his face.

Here puppy puppy puppy! Coming by were the puppy was still playing, Adyian could still here that it was still making funny sound and he was going to try again to help it out. Taking up the mallet and gave the puppy a hit with it but not too hard as he didn't want to hurt it. ((sn: naggeela ))

Here puppy puppy puppy! Adyian was going to try once more to see if hitting the puppy would help it out as it was just so cute not to help. Taking the mallet to which he then hit the puppy to help it out from making that strange sound. ((sn: naggeela))

Siddie picked up one of the mallets. Paused. Put it right back down. She couldn't possibly hit a sweet little ghost-wisp with a mallet. She'd feel guilty for days. Instead, she pulled out a small handful of seeds and crouched down carefully, offering them to the playful pup. Here puppy puppy puppy! ((SN: prolixity))
