Music_Undefined Ohhhh okay. I'm actually in TDR lol. And there's this guild called The Official Roleplaying Guild of EPICNESS!! that you might like.

Heliko pylori Music_Undefined It is!! I was upset about the one I quit because that actually seemed really good! I really enjoyed the story and plot and thought it would work. Then...it didn't...It just went downhill ._. D: I've never done it like that on Gaia, but I have on another site xD It was sooo much simpler

It was hard, but I eventually gave in to the movement where people started to make their posts pretty and have an image in them and what not. I didn't like it at first because my original charie was thought up and I can't draw worth anything and there was no online picture of her and everyone was like "you must have a picture in your post". So now I just find a picture and go with it. But for crying out loud. Would it really kill people to resize their images so that they don't stretch the page/take up a ton of room. If people don't know how to do that then they shouldn't be posting images. Granted, we all had to learn how at some point. I totally understand that. But upon seeing their freakin' huge image, said person should ask someone how to resize or whoever is running the place should tell them how to. I loathe page stretching!

This isn't a rant so much as just a small complaint. I don't like it when people put likes/dislikes/fears and what not as part of the profile. Mainly because I don't have a continuous character anymore. Now for clarification. I really only have two characters that I use when I RP but I make them fit into whatever RP I'm involved in. In doing that, they don't have a continuous history. My old main stayed in the commerce bar hopping so it was easy to just build her story and add on to it. Though because now none of the RPs I do are related I still haven't a clue of who my characters are personally. It's hard enough to come up with a history that makes sense and isn't totally cliche, let alone thinking of what they would fear or like. I much prefer to just RP stuff like that out as I get a feel for the character in certain environments. Fears/likes in one RP might not make any sense if I were to put them down in another RP. I could just make up some stuff and slap it on the profile but I don't like doing that. I just opt out of joining them.

Putting that stuff doesn't bother me so much, my mind races and topic hops, so I can whip something out randomly in no time at all... What I hate is putting things like height, weight, hair color, eye color... Dang it look at the picture! Dx Sorry... I have weird pet peeves...

Ikr! I really don't like that, especially if they ask for a picture as well! It's like...you have the picture, why do I need to type out what you can already see?

As for the likes/dislikes/fears thing. (I have never been asked to put fears...people do this? Could I just be like "I'm afraid of snapping my neck."? Lol sorry) But for likes and dislikes, I put my actual likes and dislikes, so that's not to hard for me.

I can understand that. What's the point of requiring a picture if you're going to have to describe it. That's something that people do that I don't understand. They'll have a picture and their first post will be dedicated to describing their character (the picture) as if no one can see. I understand if there's something different about the charie that isn't in the picture but otherwise they're just being repetitive. Yep, some require you to put fears. Mainly in the horror RPs. In the ones I joined I tried to make the likes/dislikes in relation to my character. I want to do an RP where people don't turn in a profile until we're about ten pages in and they have an idea of who their character will be. That way people who don't have a strong idea of their charie will get the chance to experiment with some personalities and then pick the one they feel is best. Or heck, why turn in a profile at all. Just give me the charie and username info so I will know who is playing, lol.

I always do rps on places other than gaia, so I can have a character in multiple threads (same character but in a different place)... Normally my first post and only my first post has a brief (very brief) description of what my character is wearing at the time. Other than that I find I lose interest when someone I am rping with adds a whole boat load of small details :/ Not that their writing is bad, I just don't care that their character has red, green, blue, and yellow rubber bands around their wrists... burning_eyes Its weird... I've never ranted like this before xD So much built up frustration... If I keep it up I might rant about weebos next o.e

Back in the day, before images, when I played my OC the first post was dedicated to what she looked like and her first actions. After that I would just drop little tid bits of reminders while mainly posting about what was going on since she wasn't your typical fox person. I don't so much mind the little stuff since I never know what someone is going to do. If it were me I would put in the rubber bands so that later no one can complain about not knowing about them as I use them to turn paper clips into a weapon. xd
