Kazuka was back again, although this time instead of just a picture he held in his hands a round egglike object. He held the little brown sphere carefully in one hand as he made note of it's capture in the book. ~I had been setting a new trap, this time in a different spot then before, when there was the sound of bushes rustling behind me. When I turned around there was a eyes staring at me from the shadows of the leaves and I could only vaguely make out the size and shape of the creature before it turned tail and ran off. I had been about to run after it when something came rolling out of the bushes at me. I picked it up , studied it then came here to write this update.~He stepped back and, figuring his job was done, turned on his heel and left. So far that was the most he had 'spoke' in a long while. When Mandy had been given the bottle and told to use it to help her trapping she hadn't the faintest clue what to do with it. The stopper was tight and she didn't quite feel brave enough to smash it so she did the sensible thing, she placed it next to her trap and scampered away as fast as she could. Nothing happened. But, ah, that could be the type of trap right? Magic was a finicky thing and with no better ideas she kept at it. And at it. Until finally she did something right for as she approached the bog this time a glimmer caught her eye in the trap and there was a suspicious lack of bottle. Approaching cautiously Mandy finally got to see what magic her bottle had wrought. Omgitsadorablesqueeeeeeeeee! Mandy would later deny and allegations towards her actions when she found the Skyling, she was a monsterly monster and she did not behave like some young ghoul. At all. Yeah right. ((Rosie))

Aurian was quite fond of the Dark Forest. Like the name implied it was dark and full of shadows - all the better for hiding in. It was a great place to practice her Lurking and Slinking, sometimes even Sneaking. What Aurian hadn't been expecting was to find herself instead trying her hand at Petnapping - she swore it was unintentional, she wasn't up to any of the more devious practical exercises in her studies yet! And yet, when she'd materialised from the shadows, the small... whatever-it-was had eeped and fainted. (If it wasn't for the noise, Aurian might have mistaken it for Nergal poop.) ... Still, someone had to take care of the pet, and until anyone else came forward with proof of ownership, that someone might as well be Aurian. ( Mini username: kalindara )

Now this was just getting silly.
Sebastian stared at his faithful cardboard box (which still awkwardly had that shoctopus egg clinging to it) and wondered how in Jack's name he had managed to catch a piece of cake.
A pink one at that.
Sebastian picked up the little cake and stared at it. Perhaps it would make a nice ... meal for someone later on? It was really too bad Seb had no desire to eat- otherwise he would've devoured it right then and there. Maybe he could bribe a gluttony demon with it later or something.
Either way, he carefully picked up the piece of cake, careful not to knock over the hat someone had daintily place on it. Someone would probably want this later right?((sn is chimarii))

Syb stared at the... round... swirly thing that had somehow found its way under her cardboard box. She poked it. Then poked it again before shrugging and grabbing it by the handle to carry it off to her little pile of caught... Things. ((SN: Ice Queen))

Pickles wasn't quite sure his enchantments of choice (fire and sun, the hotter the better!) had anything to do with this catch. It was probably the bottle of raw, purpley Friendship. At this point, he had several bottles belted to his waist, and the star had gone right for it. The glowing object, like the bulb and jar before it, went right into his pocket.

Aksaja was starting to get a bit frustrated with these traps. About eight times out of ten (or something like that, he wasn't sure), there wasn't anything in them when he went back to check!
This time, however, it seemed that luck was with him. He wasn't entirely sure how a skull-thing would even move to get IN the trap, but there it was. Scooping up the thing, he tucked it under an arm before setting another trap and walking off again. Maybe he was getting better at this . . . Profile: MandaGaia

This was delightful. Riley had caught yet another delicious looking treat.

As she wrote about it in the book, she added, at the end, a rather cheerful little compliment.

Gracie returned to the Misty Fields to check on her trap. It had been at least the 10th trap she had set that afternoon. She had started to feel like she might never catch anything. Then, she chided herself to keep encouraged since she had so far caught one thing. Interestingly enough, that had been from the Misty Fields as well. As she pulled on the long vine, along came a skull.

Gracie got up and tucked her corrivdus into her bag as she stood thinking about where she might next lay a trap. It was nearing nightfall, and she thought the dark forest might be a great place. Probably all sorts of things would be wakinigup soon. Off she skipped towards it thinking of which sort of trap might work best.

The Three Hooves Tavern had been doing good business of late. Since the Scarefari's opening, it was the only public building within reasonable proximity of the fields. Among the numerous customers loafing around inside the building was not a monk. The monk was actually sitting on a bench outside, seeing as This One understood how a hungerless skeleton was a likely nuisance in a place which is packed with paying customers.
How was it that Zen was now in the business of trapping animals, anyhow? The answer: they weren't. If the bag full of chunky looking stuff sprawled by the japanese undead's side was not already an indication, This One was merely looking for objects to sell for silver, and would be releasing the poor animals that wandered into the various contraptions being used. It all began when Zen had picked a beginner's guide to multiple types of snares off the ground and read that mysteriously, random stuff is caught more frequently than animals. Indeed, This One had nirva nabbed anything else than junk thusfar. But junk could still sell! Zen was more than satisfied.
A clock bird strolling by alerted the monk to the fact that it was time to go check up on their trap. This One headed out to the dark woods, neither at a creepy trancelike pace nor while playing the flute. Wouldn't want to scare the fancy boots or coal pieces away, after all. Quickly they found where the trap had been left, and examined it through their straw mask. A... seed? Well, it certainly wasn't an animal... perhaps Zen could grow it into a lovely plant and place it in their yet-to-be-found living quarters, eventually. Plants were very nice for keeping.
With a shrug, This One picked up the little seed between two skeletal fingers and plopped it into their wooden alms box for safekeeping.(SN: Mythee)

Decibel wasn't very good at this trapping business, even so she enjoyed it and found herself laying out as many traps as she could with as many different enchantments as she could get her hands on. It wasn't until she tried a single water enchant in the dark forest that she found a truly amazing prize. Under her trap was what looked to be a blue bottle and just by looking at it she could tell it was going to be something interesting. Profile: MarshMallowPanda

Malodore pulled up the cardboard box... then stared at the contents, thoroughly nonplussed. There was a jar under there, neatly labeled as if it had come from the inconvenience store. And there were no footprints. ... How...

After trudging through the bog setting up traps left and right Oppa heard one of them spring. He hurried to the spot where he heard the sound and saw one of his traps slowly sinking into the bog. He hurried over just as the trap had sunk below the surface. He opened the trap to find a rather heafty ball of fluff inside. A really fat foxfire had made his way into the trap. Oppa picked up the fluff ball that was covered in sludgy dirt and tried to clean it off. "Poor little fatty" he patted it's head and gave it some more bait from his pocket. (sn: cheshire)

Syb picked up the cupcake resting peacefully in her trap, turning it this way and that to see if it had legs. "How... um... well..." she said, a slight frown on her face. "Oh well! I love cupcakes!" she finally decided, carrying the cupcake off happily.

Sin's trapping in the bloodstone cliffs was going rather well her traps lately had begun to yield either minipets or the evidence of nearly caught ones. It helped that she had become skilled enough to lay out more then one trap bettering her odds. She was becoming familiar with tracks and...things that might be tracks. Smells and sounds were equally important in the wild apparently some minipets were just downright odd. As she came to check her traps she almost took what looked like a rock ad chucked it before pausing and grinning. Ahh...Sin had seen this species of minipet before, it appeared to be stone but it was indeed a minipet. She tucked it away and re-set her traps before moving to write in the log.
I cannot stress the importance of looking over even what appears to be random debris in your traps you never know when it's something more.[Mini SN: roxyroxanna]
