What do you think your character should have? i'm not hard to please any thing that keeps it interesting Alright, well first lets work on a reason for him going to the town. Silent Hill calls people such as with The Order, and Alessa at the moment. Then, there is also guilt, like with James. Darkness in one's heart brings them to Silent Hill. Which one of those ideas sound the most appealing? Remember, if you choose guilt or other darkness such as anger, revenge, gluttony, or greed, or whatever that some type of Pyramid Head will be able to chase your character. And to be honest, it will have to. Now, if there is another reason, the ultimate goal of your character changes I guess. What do you think?

How did his rage lead him to Silent Hill? Usually doing something very terrible is required to get there. What did your character do?

What did your character do? murder Then that could also imply that he has guilt along with that anger. Also, you don't have to be a good guy in the end, you can become the insane character, but you might not want to do that and make him like a few other guilt-filled protagonists. You need to define who your character is based on all the information we brainstormed here, he is an angry murdering character so far that comes to Silent Hill because of his issues like James goes to Silent Hill because of his. That doesn't mean your character has to become the bad guy exactly. You still need more reasoning though, like in one way or another, I think at least most of the Protagonists have had some connection with The Order even if that connection was minor. Since a lot of this story has to do with The Order and Alessa, you got to find a way to blend it in well.
