Very Important After the Ball, there will be several time jumps. The first will be six months, followed by a few days of RP land. Another six month jump, and same. The thrid jump will be three years. This is mostly to bypass pregger stages. ^^ Let yoursellf have this opportunity to re-design your characters. New clothes, scars, facial hair, ect. Times are changing, so let us change as well. If there is a problem with this, or if something needs to be done before the time leaps, contact me immediatly. Thank you, and god speed.

Reminder In Lab, I encourage you not to start anything new on that timeline, seeing as after the ball and all is concluded, the first time jump will take place. That's a full six months. And don't get too cozy there either for shortly after, the second six months...and don't warm your seat yet because shortly after that, three years. Don't want to start something drastic and then get it snuffed out because of time change, right?

Update The first post in lab has been updated to explain the current status of each main city (not including the fortress) and a map of Deep Water has been added to the bottom.

Reinforcement Fractured Moonlight Ahem, trying to schedule the time jump for later tonight (or more pointedly when Starry gets home and gets one...point is I'l throw up the break post), so if you have anything you want to get done, you may want to get it done. In the event that you don't get it done, or just don't want to go through the paces of such things, I suggest that you retrospect what happened...because that makes things easy.

Howdy all. Thought I'd leave a note before heading home tomorrow.
There is something I'd like to prepare you for that should be going down in January/February. (In Lab of course)
I'm not going to tell you why, becuase that will ruin the fun, but magic will cease to exist in Lab. (For a period of time only, it's not a perminant thing.)
And I mean ALL magic. No exceptions. No clerics, no runes, no potions, no reserve spells. The only leeway you will have are artifacts. Some artifacts are used as 'wells' to store magic, and these can be tapped to preform basic spells. This means you can't use necromancy, but you could bring someone from the brink of death long enough for them to be healed/cured through non-magical means.
Keep in mind that wells run dry. How dramatic will it be when you are in a perilous position and suddenly...you run out of magic! *shock* The awesomeness that ensues.
This is a good time to develop your character, have fun with it. ^^
When will this take palce? Shortly after Fin and Leaf are done their little quest. (it's important they get this done before magic stops working ^^) And no, things will not be moving as slow as they are now. .~. Az and I will make sure our elves are finished their task in a resonable amount of time.

Labyrinth Magic Event Pre-Impliment Compromise Track If you have a question to ask as well, you need to ask it. These are what we have so far. Questions/Concerns: A. Noah Kai How long will his 'no magic' period last? And will it affect the horses? B. Shadow of Twilight You knew this was coming. so it's a long one. 1. Loss of All Divine and Magical abilities I will state again that I really don't like. at all. reasons are the following: a. It hurts the Twilight lands (all characters therein) moreso than any other group in the RP. b. there are other plots that can involve everyone (dimitri's children, for example) that can be made without stripping powers. c. it puts most of the Twilight land characters out of general plot, due to the inevitable large scale uprising/rebellion that any creature with have a brain would attempt. also puts them all in mortal danger. Now I know that last one is going to get the 'you don't have to rp that' response. but I do tend to keep cause and effect going. 50 beasts created adn breed for war, find that thier only means of being controled is gone, will enivably rise agaisnt thier former master. 150 slaves that have been used for death fights for the amusement of someone else and his guests will eneviatably seek to overthrow such a person once the means of control are gone. Orcs that find the only thing standing in thier way of an invasion will seek to invade when that blockade is removed. This is probably something that would happen to the Purians as well. without the druidic power to protect them, I woudl imagine thier lands invaded as well. The loss of potions, while I understand you wanted to limit meilikki's use...there are wasy to do it. simply eliminate potions that imbue 'magical' effects. like regeneration, vision effects, flight, levitation...things like that. potions used to help healing processes or as painkillers and such i think should still be allowed. a potion that makes an injury take 3 days to heal instead of four might be permissable lets say, but a potion that can make an injure heal in a minute is not. just my thoughts at present. C. Shadow of Twilight how does this loss of magic/divine power affect creatures like Onyx or Bode, and that black ooze both of them secrete? D. Icelight anways a quick question. I have touched base with holly on the subject but i wanted to clear something up so that I don't confuse myself later on. Changing forms would contetute as magix I'm assuming? so my pups will stay in one form during this period?? E. Fractured Moonlight And I assume that everything that is PREVIOUSLY enchanted prior to magic shutdown then becomes a well of sorts, be it a one time or recharging one, yes? Conclusions: A/B. Lunar Dawn Noah: It will last as long as it takes for Piper to restore the five elements. So, it could be long (real life time wise, not rp time wise) or it could be short. I believe that Frac and I discussed the horses and agreed that they would be fine,because I do not want you to loose access to those characters. I'm not sure on much of the horses powers, but if you must use them, keep them limited. Hopefully, it will not be too long. Jason: Those aren't questions. Sure there are other things I can do to include everyone, and I may or may not (or anyone else who wants to initiate plot, this is not exlusivly about me) play those out. but I'm not going to stop this plot because someone doesn't want conflict. Besides, this is going to be fun. ^^ Loss of devine magic is essential for what I have in mind. Labyrinth, being a fragile planet, relies heavily on the magic of deities to keep it alive. Without godly influence, Lab will be thrown into a state of chaose that will effect everyone. The Twilight landsa as I understand have strong physical fortifications. The land is also hostile outside of the grounds. Remeber that your apponents no longer have the magical assitance to attack you, as they have in some form or another in the past. Chances are the Purians will be inialated. Leaf and Fin probably being the only survivors. (Because of their absense, not becease of some power they have) Compromise: Any potion that may act as Real Life medication will be allowed. If you have knowledge of such things, (ie, medication you've taken in the past, vetrinarian experiance..whatever) please, use these to your advantage. B. Shadow of Twilight well my initial complaint is not that enemies attacking twilight from outside. yes, Twilight has some tough physical defenses. this is interior assault. those living in the fortress rising against those incharge of it. particuarly the gladiator slaves and the breaker population. however, after noting other things, I have found a comprimise. you mentioned that items of magical power might be used a 'wells' to power magic at the cost of the item retaining magical properties. ie a peice of armor that gives it's wearer a great deal of strength can lose that power in order to 'energize' a spell. so I move to comprimise that the collars, being made of enchanted metal, can be considered little wells. not able to porduce any kind of spell effects, they don't have the power, but enough power so that thier own effect of necksnapping/strangulation coudl be used a limited number of times/once only before losing it's 'power' B/C. Lunar Dawn ^^ I do believe that is well within the guidlines. Cudos, cause I enver thought of it. The black ooze works on the principle of raw chaos, Onyx's and Bode's bodies are simpley taps to the demension that holds it in check. In my understanding, there is a god (or deity, whichever you prefer) for everthing. Technically, Kimmuriel is the god of Chaos. Without him, the tap is..lets say slowed to a trickle but can't be fully turned off. Bode and Onyx will have access to the ooze, but there is little of it, and there effects are not near as grand as they once were. For other creatures, you'll just have to use your best judjment. Remeber that if there is magic present, it is severely limited. And unless you know how to work magic, wells will be useless to you. I.e. Bode can use her ooze, but she couldn't open a well to heal herself because she is inexperianced with magic. A. Fractured Moonlight And my two cents on the horses. Since the horses innate powers...aren't really magic...then it is safe to say that they will be fine. Zephyrs can still be wind, Nightmares can still have fire. They can change thier composition and shadow walk and such, but as with it all, very limited, makes them very tired. And I give holly my Andalian horseshoes since those are indeed magic imbuned. Piper's gonna have a lot of angry people on her hands because of that. Mwaha. Also, reguarding Sevilin since he uses energry and not magic for runes, me and Holly have already talked about him and yes he too is taking the fall under Holly's definition of magic, which we are going by. And yes, my definition is different form hers, but it's compromise. Thus he will have to abide by the well tap clause as well. I also assume that anyone stepping on plane gets thier magic sap. IE if Kieran and Fianna pop up, they loose thier magics. I'm fine with that too. One more thing. Moon elf eye light infusion technique. This stays, because this is not magic. This is a wholly physical thing with the gold flecks in thier eyes, not a magical power. Just in case anyone wanted to pick at that...think of it like drow infra/heat visions. D. Lunar Dawn Well, with that I'm not certain. It might be the same as Frac's light thing with the elves eyes. In your creation of the Kin, did you think 'magic' when they changed? Or did you think 'physical ability'? All in all, I'd say they CAN change, but it makes them very tired to do so. E. Lunar Dawn Pretty much. Just keep in mind that the wells can run dry.

Hey guys, just a little heads up I'm starting my exams tomorrow and they happen on Tuesday, Wensday, and Friday; I'm skipping Thursday cause I don't have a class during third.
Anyways I may not get on Gaia that much but I'll try; I need to foucs right now I hope you understand smile
