"Relax..." Murmured Shun as he noticed Mitsu starting to look a little nervous. He wasn't sure if it was because of the crowds, the noise or the fact that a part of her face was more exposed than usual. Perhaps it was a mix of the three.
"This is your night. Try and have some fun," he added.
---
Jericho gave Lizzy a look of disbelief as she jokingly doubted that he had grabbed his outfit himself.
"Of course I did!" he replied, "I'm guessing you made your own dress?"
Glancing towards Levi, he couldn't help but chuckle. He was looking forward to the games himself. While Riley had refused to tell him what was going to happen exactly, games were always fun to do.
Little did he know that she made much more than just that.

As excited as she was for the prom, Xiu had decided on a simple hairstyle and dress as opposed to a more elaborate one. Besides, if there was going to be any dancing going on, she might as well ensure that she would be comfortable for the duration of the event. The last thing she did before leaving her dorm room was grab her camera, wrapping the cord around her wrist to ensure that she wouldn't accidentally drop it. What was a prom without a few preserved memories in photo-form, right? This was the first prom she had ever been to, not to mention Vaith was the first friend-date she ever had, so it was only natural that she wanted a few pictures of the night.
When she arrived back at the auditorium, the Baku sighed, clearly pleased by how the room had been transformed. The committee had done an amazing job at setting everything up and Xiu noted, with pleasure, that the food she and Vaith had helped Junko make was laid out quite nicely. Everything looked perfect!
A figure standing nearby caught her attention, and Xiu stared at him for a few moments as she tried to figure out just why he seemed so familiar. When she realized who it was, her eyebrows shot up, and without even announcing her presence, she snapped a picture of Mac. "My, Mr. Grumpyface. You clean up pretty well." Despite the use of the nickname, her voice carried a friendly tone to it tonight. It was prom after all, and she was in a good mood.
Before she could make any more comments, she spotted a group not far from where they stood. She immediately perked up upon recognizing Lizzy, Mitsu and Mot amongst the group. Sneaking up a little closer to them, she raised her camera again and...snap! A nice (albeit candid) picture of her friends and their dates. Poking her head out from over her camera, the ghoul grinned sheepishly. "Good evening!"

Mitsu gave a bit of a nod to Shun, trying to take a deep breath to calm herself but it was difficult. Though, her ears perked when with white tatzel addressed her, a slight look of surprise on her face. "Y..yes math," The not so math class....and proof that Mitsu had an inability to build anything. How daunting. "My name is Mitsu. I-It's nice to meet you." Here came the stuttering, oh this was going to be fun.
Hearing her name from yet another direction Mitsu turned to see Xui heading there way. "Hello Xui~" At least it was mostly people she knew. She was getting better though her ears still deflated a little as her shyness settled in. "Y..you look really pretty." Though the baku always looked pretty.

The door creaked open, over and over, as elegantly dressed students flooded the empty halls, muffling the sound of reverberating music with their bodies. Riley sighed in relief, dropping her hand from her ear and staring out with interest.
So many familiar faces. As they entered, she greeted them all with her typical even gaze. The colors were blinding, the fabrics were gaudy, and the chiffon was flowing like wine.
Oh yes, it was definitely prom, all right.
She dipped her finger into a small slip of fabric at her side, and plucked out two very special dice. She flicked them up and down in the air idly, as her eyes settled on her best friend. At least someone had managed to make sure he dressed to impress.

The Reaper was caught off guard as Xiu took a picture of him. Black eyes blinked to get over the flash, and once it was done he looked to stare at the little Baku. She looked awfully familiar to him, but...he couldn't quite place where.
"Uhh...Thanks?" He looked baffled, tilting his head and staring at her. She knew him, clearly. But how? Luckily for her, he didn't get the chance to prove how grumpy he was with the Demon, as she'd already wandered off on her own merry way. He wasn't going to stare after her; she was walking in the direction of that table. Now if only he could remember why she looked familiar...
Well, whatever, there were more important matters at hand. Like this floor. What a nice floor. Oh wait, he was supposed to be watching the door. Okay, that.

"Thank you!" She grinned at Mitsu; she was proud of what the prom committee had done within such a short span of time, "I bet you'll love the food too! They worked hard - everyone did! And do relax~" She smiled, giving a nod.
In her excitement, she had missed Mac completely; her attention was focused on her dashing date and her friends... It was nice to see that everyone came with someone! She only smiled more when introductions were made between her friends; she liked her friends to know each other too... It almost felt like a family of sorts to her. An ever expanding family.
Coming from a single parent, single child family, that feeling of having lots of people you care about and who care about you in return around? Awesome.
"Fine, fine, Mr Jericho," She giggled before grinning, "I was just teasing~ And yes, I did! Made it to match Mot!" She was rather proud of it.
"And you look gorgeous, as expected," She nodded at Levi before chuckling lightly, "Games will be fun! I'm looking forward to them... Maybe we could even go up against each other, yes?"
She blinked when someone took a photo of them before throwing her hands in the air, "XIU!" Cue the hug and then a grin, "You look so pretty!"

When the girl seemed to be having some trouble calming down, Shun tentatively placed a hand on her shoulder to see if that would help ease her at all. While Mitsu spoke with some of the others, he just stood by and watched for the most part. They hadn't addressed him so he was content to stay out of the conversation in the meantime.
---
Looking around some more, Jericho finally spotted Riley not too far off. Smiling over at her, he waved and motioned for the mindflayer to come on by. She was looking rather nice tonight, but that was no surprise to be certain.
His keen eyes caught sight of the dice she had tossed into the air and he had a sense of amusement as she did so. Hopefully those dice would be giving his best friend good rolls tonight.
Turning back towards Lizzy, the dragon grinned once again.
"Well you did a pretty sweet job of it I think!"

Claire was very nervous. She'd never actually attended an event like this, and she was... nervous. Very nervous. Her dress was black with lace and she had a little black bow perched on her head. She was so incredibly nervous. And excited! But mostly nervous. She'd sort of been asked to the prom by Roch and for some reason he was late. Maybe he didn't like her? OMG MAYBE HE DIDN'T LIKE HER? What if he didn't want to go with her? No. No, he did. As she slipped on her heels, she heard a knock. She ran to the door and was about to pull it open before she calmed herself to look fancy and opened it. " Hello, Roch!" she said politely, stepping out of her dorm to greet him with a very fancy expression.

"I'm late, I know," Roch said to Claire before holding up the four bags. "But Junko said on groanspring that it was impossible to quadruple quadruple what they were making for prom, so I figured I'd grab us a quick snack before we went, see?" he said.
"I got tacos, chicken, burgers, and this one's desserts from all three places. Um... probably shouldn't have gotten ice cream, looking back," he said as a drip fell from the dessert bag.
"You look cute!" he added, a bit stupidly. "Which ones do you want?"

Jove didn't understand what this whole prom thing was, except that they would play loud music, and apparently dance while wearing awkward clothing for some unknown reason. But all his friends seemed to expect him to come, so after some consultation and many letters back and forth between himself and his caretaker, he figured out what he had to wear and how he had to behave at what was supposed to be a fun occasion.
Jove arrived at the decorated auditorium in a fancy Victorian-esque suit, dark with ruffles at his neck, frills at his cuffs, and a line of fine, decorative chain hung between a silver crescent moon pin on one lapel, and a delicate white rose tucked into the opposite side. Another chain looped across his left hip, perhaps holding a pocket watch, and the hem of the long jacket was frilled and embellished as only the Victorian era could provide. His matching slacks had been pressed for the occasion, and he wore black, heeled shoes that gave him an extra inch of height without looking like something a ghoul would wear.
It must have been tailored specifically for the pup, and lacked only a decorative top hat on his head and a cane in his gloved hand to make the 'costume' complete. But even without those additional props, he looked quite the dapper little gentleman.
It might have been hard to recognize the scrawny little ghostling dressed as he was, but the way he nervously glanced around was a dead give away. He wasn't used to that much unusual light and noise. He only hoped he could find someone he recognized, and resist the temptation to book it back to his dorm with his tail between his legs.

There were greetings and compliments going all around. His date was hugging and mingling, though she did eventually find her way back to his arm again. A sense of pride came back when she mentioned she made her dress to match, a grin planted on his face.
"Oh, hey Xiu." He waved with a free hand to the camera toting Baku. "Planning to get some candid shots tonight?"

Someone else had arrived now - someone very familiar, though the clothing was a surprise. Ren gave a quick "one second" gesture to Gabrian, Alessa, and LW, raising a finger to his lips and winking before he darted a few feet over. He recognized that panicked look; the way his eyes widened and he took a subconscious step backwards.
"Oh, no you don't - "
Gloved fingers closed around Jove's shoulders, and Ren steered his little brother away from the door of the room and back to where the other three were standing. "You look quite dashing," he said with a grin. "Don't ruin it by trying to run away before you've even had one dance, silly."

Cady was overwhelmed, to say the least. She'd seen the room in the process of being put together, as she'd 'helped out' Ash and the other students on the prom committee, but now with the lights and the music it was somewhat...overwhelming. It had really all come out beautifully. She couldn't wait to go see what Ash was up to- she NEEDED to know what all those Druttons and Lebers did. She cringed as the doors opened and the music washed over them, but the arm that was laced around Deacon's still maintained a feather-like touch. She was honestly not sure what to do with it. It took all her concentration not to just stare at the point of contact like a dummy. Gladys had definitely not covered bodily contact with boys in her lecture on Ladylike Behavior.
The distracting smell of food was helping, though. She'd given the rose a good whiff and determined, after making a face, that it was definitely not edible. She tucked it into her hair to free up her other hand, for - something. She peered past Deacon to Emily. She hoped the other ghoul was having a good time. She certainly looked nice in her dress, a fact that was adding to Cady's unusually somber demeanor. She felt like a - a very large thing, in a room of very fragile stuff. Yeah, something along those lines. This was unfamiliar territory, to be sure. Even the dress made her feel uncomfortable - her legs were disconcertingly unbifurcated, and she kept tugging at the hem of the fabric. It whispered to itself as she walked along in what she hoped was a stately fashion.
She could barely make out Deacon's inquiry over the sound emanating from the room. "WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO DO, EMILY?" She hoped she would mention the food- Cady didn't know how long she had before Ash called her to watch the booth, and she wanted to try some of this Sugar Riley'd been raving about.

She laughed when Lizzy hugged her and, having expected it, hugged her back. "Thank you!" She chirped, blushing at the compliments from both Lizzy and Mitsu, "You both look really pretty too! I like your mask." The last part was directed to the shy ghoul, and Xiu offered her a smile in an attempt to reassure her. Being shy around people was no fun--Xiu knew what that was like firsthand. The last thing she wanted was to make the other ghoul uncomfortable.
It looked like Vaith hadn't arrived yet, but it was early still. She was still quite excited that her friend had asked her to go to the prom with him, and perhaps she'd even see him crack a smile tonight. Maybe. Unlikely, but she could hope, right? She had high expectations for this event!
Waving back to Mot, she grinned at him, her gaze sliding from him, to Lizzy, and then back. "You two match! And only some candid shots. I'd like to get some group or pair shots too." It was nice that her friends and their dates were all gathered in a little group here--wait a minute, why was Mac just standing there staring at the door? If he was waiting for his date, why not wait with his friends (or at least, she knew that Lizzy was his friend).
Excusing herself, she promptly marched back to Mac, hands on her hips but a smile on her face. "Why are you standing here all alone anyways, Mr. Grumpyface? Socialize a little! Lizzy and the others are over there." Without giving him a chance to complain, the little Baku promptly took hold of his shoulders and steered him towards the group.

Levi picked up on a sudden burst of light and turned her head for a moment to see another face she somewhat recognized. This was the ghoul from the open house she'd met along with Lizzy at the desu booth. She smiled at the ghoul and turned her attention back to Mitsu.
Giving a bit of a laugh, she took her hand back at seeing just how timid the ghoul was. An ear flicked and she blinked; tatzel ghouls weren't usually this shy, but she tried to understand that this was no tatzel despite her appearance. Good ta finallly meet'cha too!
Looking at the rough (by her opinion) boil with Mitsu, she nodded a greeting remembering what Lizzy had called him. It's Shun, right? Levi. Good ta' meetcha. Just like in math class, she couldn't help but temporarily stare at him. There was just something about his facial expression that made her want to put him in a sleeper hold. This, of course, was a good sign of friendship to the tatzel.
When Lizzy mentioned a challenge, she was taken back a bit...
the stout ghoul who looked like a pink-haired doll wanted to challenge her.
Well, this certainly brought up her opinion of Lizzy yet again. After she and Lizzy had beat Jericho at the fighting game that day, Levi took into consideration the fact that Lizzy could be misleading. The pink-haired demoness had some fight in her, it would seem. It'd be thanks ta you if this 'ere frock looks tha part, Lizzy. 'Preciate all tha hard work so much. 'Swear one day.... I'll pay ya back for it ten fold! She then looked to Jericho... and creeped a grin with narrowing eyes. Challengin' is sure ta be in tha cards, Lizzy... n' ain't no dragon gettin' 'way from ma challengin' neither...right? She glanced back to Lizzy to show her approval of a challenge between them as well.
