The dragon managed to relax a bit as Riley patted him on the cheek. Smiling a bit awkwardly at her, he shifted his wings and looked back at the others. The blush had gone, but he was still a little frazzled there. Jericho glanced over at Seiji who looked rather lost, but then again so was he just moments ago.

He managed to gather that they were talking about books with sex scenes in them or something along those lines.

There was just something slightly weird about Calder and Riley talking to eachother about this sort of thing.

Calder crossed his arms when Riley addressed him. I happen to collect books of the finest quality, and not some trash anyone can find, and they are very hard to find. I just happen to have my own means. Which included haggling with various booksellers who were willing to sell such material tot he underage boil. It also helped when you looked pretty and know how to flick your hair properly.

And that's just sad for Malodore that you don't even read such mateiral. It's not all dirty after all. Let's hope your relationship with It isn't affected. Certainl would keep things from going stale. Probably give you a few ideas. He then opened his eyes and groaned. I am not having this conversation with you.

He shook it off and leaned back to look up at the boil Riley had pointed out. Whoever he was, he was touching Junko's shoulder and Calder was just about to tell the boil to back off from a ghoul who was spoken for when he perked up. He was claiming her!

Bolting up, he smiled and pointed. "You're her boilfriend?! You're the boil Junko's gonna get intimate with?"

Riley made a face, looking a mixture between amused, and annoyed. Don't be ridiculous. Malodore and I don't engage in such relations, we are beings of science and reason. Our pleasure is obtained through intellectual means. She corrected in a private thought.

And as soon as he'd said it, Riley had come to the same realization as well - why WAS she having this discussion with HIM?! It was like a slap on the face, and it made her sober up and get back down to business. Calder's completely inappropriate question towards Seiji - not at all what she'd hoped for when she goaded him, oh dear Jack - only served to further force her hand.

All right, let's all settle down and begin the meeting. Would everyone please take a seat? She hopped back up on the table in the front, crossed her legs in a businesslike manner, and nudged Nuk's leg in hopes he would move his feet and free the clipboard.

Junko couldn't answer Seiji. Why?

Calder needed to die.

Her eyes were wide and her skin paled even more than it normally already was, just staring at Calder as if he had just stabbed a minipet right before her eyes.

Oh. My. JACK. "Th..this is...Seiji, yes..." Her face was burning hot pink, and her hair curtained around her like a long, black sheet. "Someonepleasekillme." Junko pleaded desperately, looking anywhere but at Seiji.

Oh wait! Riley was starting the meeting! Yes! Yes, this was good! A happy distraction. Finally.

Sin gave a small half smile as Riley called the meeting to start and then glanced sympathetically at Junko. She also looked at Calder curiously, did he really not realize the embarrassment he was causing or was the boil that oblivious. Perhaps drowning lessons should come along with some basic common courtesy lessons. She re-focused her attention on Riley and Nuk and made herself a bit more comfortable.

The ghost's head tilted, picking up on some of what they'd been discussing, but finding himself directly back in the same boat of 'wtf is this s**t' when Calder addressed him. He stared at the kelpi boil. No, glared was more the appropriate term. Crimson on black eyes boring into the other boil. What was with that question?! Did he want to sabotage any hope in hell the ghost had of EVER getting laid? Because if that were the goal, if Junko's current embarrassment was any indication, Calder was right on track.

He was going to kill him.

There was all the little matter of harassing poor Junko in the first place, and that was at least something he could work against and not sound like a creep. He didn't like how uncomfortable the futakuchi-onna seemed in that moment, and he wasn't going to say something stupid that might make it worse.

Giving her shoulders a small squeeze, he bent to lay a kiss on the top of her head before walking around to lean on the table beside her chair. "I don't think that's really anyone's business." He snorted, rolled his eyes, and looked up towards where Riley had gone to sit on the table. "Besides, there's prom business to discuss."

Vaith wasn't so sure he liked the grin that spread across Ren's expression, averting his red eyes to the side, to an empty corner. Was what Ren saying really true? Vaith guessed you could have more fun with a ghoul-- but couldn't you have the same fun with another boil? As soon as he thought that, he saw the error of his ways. Dancing with another boil was definitely not on his list. Even if Ren volunteered (if ever) for the position, Vaith would still turn the boil down, no other way about it.

Boil with boil? Vaith wasn't one of them.

"Thinking about it." He said to Ren in a flat tone, carefully devoid of anything that might have given their conversation away. If Vaith had never asked the question, he would have looked off-putting as always. But considering he did-- Even if you didn't see a physical change, the question in itself revealed the rarely flustered side of the draconic reaper. Inwardly, he was trying to figure out a way to phrase the question.

Any further conversation was cut off with the start of the meeting. Oh boy, this room suddenly had .. a rather strange air about it.

Calder smiled, raising his hands up to show he was unarmed. "Woah there, laddy. I'm not taking her from you. I've got a date of my own." To which he gripped his desk and scooted it a few inches away from Junko, giving her some space with her hubby, and setting it down to now face towards the front of the class. Back to Prom.

Ren couldn't really decipher the expression that flitted quickly across Vaith's face before it disappeared, melting hastily into a carefully stoic one to prevent any inquiries about what exactly they were talking about. Casually Ren threw one leg over the other, resting his face against the side of his hand. His eyes were looking out across the room, but his voice was low, intended only for the ears of the reaper that sat beside him.

"You should do it," he said, in a tone just as flat as Vaith's. "I mean, what have you got to lose? Worst comes to worse, she says no, but she doesn't seem the type to. Besides, even if she says no, you can still go and have a good time as friends. After the meeting, take her aside, and ask her straight out. But be polite about it, of course."

A pause. Ren added "And maybe say you'd be honored to go with her or something. That's what I did when I asked my ghoulfriend to the Scarentine Dance."

He had a feeling Vaith was much more anxious about this than he let on, but he was momentarily stopped in further pestering the reaper by the start of the meeting.

He was late he was late he was late he was late oh god he was late... Christof didn't even know what he could possibly do for the Prom Committee meeting, but he knew that Mistress would no doubt need some of his services in one way or another. Or at least he hoped she did.

Everyone was already gathering for the meeting to begin as he scrambled to slow his pace to a more even lurch, peaking in the door before sidling in along the wall. Thankfully any mental arguments or previous conversations had been lost on him, but he was very surprised to see Calder there- Sin, of course, and a few other familiar faces that seemed like the sort to enjoy this sort of thing... No surprise Mistress's Dragon was there. He slouched lower a she silently took up position beside the door as though ready to spring to action whenever ordered, but as silent as a lamp when not needed. He should have come sooner.

Hopefully he had not missed anything detrimental as of yet.

The fact that Tess was even going to attend Prom should have been enough for the manananggal. But as she'd failed to make her interest known at the Prom Booth during Open House, she figured she owed it to the student council to provide some help. Arriving late, she'd (thankfully) missed the talk about students getting intimate with each other. Instead, she was greeted with the sight of a certain patchwork boil's back as he moved ahead of her. Maritess gulped as she flapped in, the beating of her large, leather wings surprisingly silent.

"U-um, is there anyone heading the refreshment table? I, um, I would like to volunteer some... helpful appendages in the event students would prefer to mingle."

She had sat (or rather stood) near Xiu through the whole discussion of... Questionable reading material and getting 'physically intimate' without a word, although there was a visible blush on her cheeks as she leaned against the desk near Xiu. They even got Jericho to answer to that question! It... Sort of blew her mind, actually. While she was... Guilty of reading such books in the past, it was more of a guilty pleasure that she hardly indulge in anymore.

Honestly, a part of her had always thought that those books contain more fiction than fact. Romance is more than just... That, right?

Thus, she was more than relieved when Riley called for them to get ready to start the meeting. She was about to take a sit when a familiar voice caused her to turn around, her face lighting up when she realized that it was, indeed, Tess. Wrapping her arms around the ghoul for a hug, she grinned and held her hand, tugging her gently towards where Xiu and Junko (and now Seiji and a bunch of other people) was seated.

What? She liked her friends to know each other!

Nuk opened his eyes as Riley nudged his foot, flicking his eyes to her then down to the clipboard before returning to her, quirking an eyebrow in her direction. It was clear he hadn't been listening to any of the conversation, despite it's... interesting subject matter, something that was actually rather uncharacteristic for the monster. Perhaps he'd been thinking of other things... Sitting up finally, he placed his feet back on the floor and picked up the clipboard, taking the hint that chat-time was over, and work-time was ready to start, standing up to take a look around the room. It seemed in the time he'd been spacing, a good few more students had filtered in, and he looked them over idly, making note of who had showed up before reaching up to scratch his head idly, looking down at the clipboard.

"Alright, guess we should get this thing started," he began in an only half-interested voice, flipping a few pages to look over what he'd already written. It seemed the boil was pretty bipolar about the whole 'Prom Thing.'

"So the fact that you all are here means you probably saw the booth and you're interested in volunteering to help. Or you were dragged here by your friends, to which I say... sucks to be you. At any rate, the Student Council has decided to host this year's Prom, with the theme being Boogie's Dice House. That means glow-in-the-dark, flashing lights, red and black and card suits. Since the gym is currently being occupied, we'll be using the Auditorium -- anyone who's interested in decorating, speak up and we'll assign you to that group. Junko, Lizzy, you guys wanted to do some of that, right?" At this, he looked over at the two briefly before continuing, "If anyone wants to volunteer to be manager of that project, let us know and see us after the meeting."

Flipping the page on the clipboard, the skinwalker paused for a second to read over whatever was there before looking up again.

"Next, we need people to make the h'orderves... y'know, stuff like Queen of Heart's tarts. Fingerfood. So if anyone knows how to cook... please for the love of Halloween keep all sugar-based foods away from Riley until the day of. Same thing goes for the food as it does for decorations, we need a manager and volunteers. To the person who volunteers to manager, again, see us after the meeting."

He seemed to be speeding right through things. In fact, there was something almost odd about it, although it was hard to place a finger on it. Perhaps it was that he wasn't being particularly dismissive of the project, just lacked a certain interest he had had earlier. Curious.

"In terms of music... Ash has kindly volunteered to be one of our DJs for Prom, so if anyone has any personal requests for music, please see her. Nominations for prom court should be placed in this box next to me."

Letting the paper unflip from the clipboard, Nuk set it down on the desk at that point, as if to finalize things.

"This meeting is now open to suggestions and volunteers. If you have any questions at any point, Riley is helping me -- you can see either one of us any time after the meeting is over. We'll dismiss you after everyone who wants to has signed up."

(To nominate a couple for prom court, or to nominate a single individual for prom jester, please pm me, x_Nata_x -- all prom nominations must be in by the 24th!

Junko was so happy for the distraction of the meeting coming to order. So, so happy. It allowed some of her humiliation to ebb away while she wasn't the center of attention. Instead, Junko watched Nuk and her embarrassment became confusion. This wasn't Nuk. Nuk was goofy, and brash, and perverted, and funny. Nuk pretended not to care abut things, or if he didn't care he was obnoxious about it; this was neither of those things. This was like his mind was elsewhere and not in a good way. She frowned again, leaning quietly into Seiji and putting one of her hands on the one draped around her shoulders. At Open House he'd been himself. He'd even seemed to be looking forward to this! So then why was he so...disinterested now? She was honestly surprised though with the little speech he was giving! Nuk? Do actual work? No way~!

When he spoke of decorating and addressed her and Lizzy she perked up, smiling and giving a nod and a wave. Yup! She definitely wanted to help with decorating! Oh...manager? She wasn't sure she was ready for being a leader of a group just yet. But the theme sounded so fun! "Someone who knows a thing or two about gambling and casinos would be good..." Junko mused, looking around. Jericho? He seemed suitable for that. He knew gambling, right? Her attention turned curiously to Seiji. Did he know anything about gambling or casinos?

Nuk continued on and she turned her attention to the skinwalker again, mentioning those who could cook. Oh! Ohoh! Junko could cook! Mostly. She wasn't a pro but she was able to follow directions, so as long as she had a recipe book she'd be okay! But enough food for the entire school..? That sounded like something they'd need a lot of cooks for. "...Why can't Riley have sugar?" Junko asked suspiciously, giving the mindflayer a look. Why did they have to keep sugar-based foods away from her? She was unaware of Riley's sugar addiction, though this may have proved a good thing considering Junko loved candy and would hate to have it all stolen by a sugar-crazed mindflayer.

Wow, things were moving fast. Junko tried not to frown again as she watched and listened to Nuk, head tilted and hair raising quietly to form shapes that resembled question marks. Nuk wasn't okay. Something was wrong. As he finished reading his little script Junko raised her hand. "I can help with cooking and decorating. Someone could even go around and make sure there's something for everyone. You know...for people are allergic to certain things? Or can only consume certain foods?" Groanspring sounded like a good way to go about that these days, as well as going around face to face and asking. But who wanted to do that?

"...And no roulette wheels unless someone other than you sets them up." Junko added in an attempt to make the skinwalker at least smile. Something wasn't right about him.

As he'd suspected, Junko was the first to speak up, and Nuk lifted his eyes to the ghoul, listening as she offered her services. It wasn't surprising -- she was the type to be helpful on a regular basis, at a time when they needed people to help, he had been sure this would be doubly so, and she hadn't let him down. Giving her a brief nod, he scribbled what was probably her name on the clipboard, looking up again only to acknowledge the previous question, a very slight, almost half-hearted grin curling the corners of his mouth at her innocence.

"Riley can't have sugar because if she does, we'll have to put her in the closet so she can ride off her sugar-high," he replied, teasing the demoness gently before his expression became serious again. Once again, Junko was thinking of things that he himself hadn't thought of -- it was reasons such as this that they had Prom Committee, good ideas and the meeting of minds. "Good idea. If you could figure out what would be best to serve, that would be great. I was thinking at least some meat dishes and some herb dishes, for those who only ate one or the other -- find out if we should add more specific things, and report back to whoever volunteers to be Chef," he said, nodding a bit in agreement. The smile had slightly returned at the roulette wheel comment, and he pointed his snake pen in her direction, pretending to scowl a little.

"Hey, you saw, there was no button, I didn't rig it"
