Paris smiled as he and Lily reached Chris, immediately reaching into the bucket of candy to pull out a cherry flavored lollipop. "Ooo, thank you," he said, unwrapping it so that he could stick it into his mouth and begin sucking on it while searching around for a trashcan to toss the wrapper into. When he found none, he simply slipped it into his purse to dispose of later.

"The ride was fine. Loud and bumpy, but the kids were at least decently well behaved," he replied, still holding onto his clipboard. Once Lily stepped off the stage, Paris figured he might as well make a quick introduction as well. "Give me a sec," he told both Lily and Chris, and waited for the person who introduced herself as Jennifer to finish up before taking the spotlight himself.

"Er... I'm Paris. I didn't really come up with a camp name, but I'm kind of partial to Sleeping Beauty, so if you want to call me 'Briar Rose' we'll go with that. Just don't blame me if I don't respond to it right away," he announced, taking his lollipop out of his mouth long enough to talk, as well as glancing over the crowd of children to find one who looked like Chris. "I'll be helping Nightingale out with some dance classes, so I hope you brought comfortable shoes!"

With that, he hopped back off the stage and rejoined Lily and Chris. "Lily and I met at an audition for the Nutcracker back during winter," he quickly explained, and then asked, "Why didn't you tell me you had a little brother?"

She stared at her clipboard, trying to memorize the names on it. If only she could put names to faces...She looked up as Talia introduced herself, and she smiled. At least she knew one other counselor!

Well, standing up here wasn't going to help find her kids. So she took her board, and left her stuff and began to wander through the crowd of children, asking their names. It was a long process, and she figured it would probably be for nothing, but at least she might get lucky and find one of her kids somewhere.

"Are any of you Guen, Odette, Leah Derounen, or Erika Adalsteinn?" She asked a group of children, who all shook their heads. She sighed "Do any of you know them?" One girl piped up "I think I saw Odette over there!" and pointed in some vague direction. Castille smiled and said "Thank you." before wandering off again.

A rock bounced by her foot, and she twisted to see a boy on the ground glaring at..Aitana!

Castille ran over, ignoring the boy and saying "Aitana! I didn't know you were going to be here! Are you a camper?"

Ridley let out a defeated sigh over the lose of her food as she continued past a few more people in the hopes to find those she knew. Kids in her class were sure to be here, right? She half listened as she counselors continued their introductions, finding most of their activities not to be up her alley. Though, some could be neat to try as they were new and different but, she'd have to decide on all that later. Right now, new mission was to spot people.

Oh wait, did she just hear something about dodgeball? Sweet! Ridley grinned as she rounded a few older kids, shifting her grip on her backpack a little better. And then, there she spotted something. A mass of curly purple hair. She knew that hair anywhere, they had been in the same class since kindergarten even though they didn't really talk to one another that much; it seemed to be growing as of late, she had been invited to the other girl's birthday after all. But it was familiarity and a good place to start.

"Istas!" Ridley called out.

A victory fist shot up in the air as her throw landed, which might have made it appear the brazilian girl was SUPER excited for singing and dancing. She was not.

The reaction she received earned only a larger grin from her, calling out lightly to Peter. "Do not be a baby." It was all in good fun, atleast she thought so. She laughed a little as he insisted that she could have put out his eye. She'd have to have REALLY obcenely bad aim to manage that. Or mad ricochet skills.

Hearing her name she looked up suddenly, her attention falling on 'Jennifer' and then her eyes swiveled looking for Coralie, piping up in delight. "Coralieeeee. We're in the same cabin!!"

And then she heard her name AGAIN! Popular! Eyes finding the familar voice she grinned at her teammate Castille. "Hey Castille! Yep, here to play, not work." Her head bobbed up and down in affirmation.

"Lucky girl." she said, gesturing to the chaos around them. Granted, it was slightly more subdued chaos, but it was still going to be a while until everyone was under control.

Ah well, this was what camp was about right?

"So what cabin are you in?" She asked, looking at her list even though shwe knew Aitana wasn't in her's. "I've been looking for my kids all over the place, but haven't seemed to have found any."

A sudden idea struck her. "Hey I totally have an idea!" She exclaimed. "I was thinking about teaching some kids volleyball later in the week! Maybe you could help!"

Lily grinned and took some smarties from bucket with a grin, "my ride was much the same. The campers and I sang a lot of song. The driver joined in though I am not really all to certain of how much she enjoyed it." She turned to watch Paris get up and introduce 'herself' grinning at 'her' and giving a thumbs up.

When Paris rejoined them she nodded at the audition statement, "Yes, I was going out for the part of Clara, but alas I did not get it. Not that I would have been able to go."

She turned to Chris, "Oh and sorry I did not show up to volunteer a couple weekends ago. I broke my clavicle, and was it ever painful. It is mostly healed, but I am still warned against anything to strenuous."

She turned and looked about, "a little brother huh? I've known you for how long and I did not know of any little brother?"

Aitana would never have cut it as someone in charge, so it was probably for the better that she wasn't. And besides.. it was WAY more fun to be a monster than to try and be one of the tamers.

"Ola.. Olean..der?" The particular flower was unknown to her, so when she'd first learned of her cabin name she hadn't committed it to memory just yet. The word spit out finally, just slowly and clumsily.

"That would be fun. I will help with.." She motioned with her hands seeming to have lost the word 'demonstrate' in her list of english. Regardless the other girl probably knew what she meant. Right?

Jenna had, like everyone else, gone to listen to the counselors and hear what each had to say. It was somewhat informative, but nothing she was really interested in knowing. Though that one, Jennifer, seemed really full of energy. Something about her interested the brunette, though unfortunately she wasn't in her cabin. Pouting at that Jenna decided, rather quickly, that it didn't matter. She'd make friends with her, yes that she would do.

Bouncing on the balls of her feet, hazel eyes watched everything going on around her. Unfortunately she didn't know anyone here, hopefully by the time she went home she'd have several friends. It seemed she had better find her orange luggage though, so off she went once more to find it. With luck on her side this time, and some effort, she was able to get her bag out from under a rather large one which belonged to someone. Nearly falling on her bottom, as she got her bag free, she almost wanted to dance and cheer. For once Jenna showed some amount of restraint.

But now she had to get to her cabin, right? So she could put her things away and than have lunch.Looking around, she hadn't been paying enough attention. Her mind, and thoughts, had been all over the place. It really wasn't easy for her to focus on any one thought for long, and the school psychologist said she was perfectly fine - thank you very much.

Deciding she didn't know where to go, and she hadn't paid proper attention, she managed to make her way toward Jennifer. Standing there, her braided hair hanging over her shoulder, the end of her braid in her left hand. "I'm lost, I wasn't paying attention. I was busy thinking about swimming and other activities. My parents say I just have a short attention span, cause after that I started thinking about what I'd wanted to do this summer, with my parents." She spoke in a quick manner, with a bright smile even though there was some hesitation showing in her hazel eyes. She was a little nervous, but had a load of energy.

Castille looked puzzled, "Ole....oh! Oleander!" She finally said, catching on, "Yeah! I remember! I know exactly who you need to check in with!" She bounced on the balls of her feet, and finally found the black haired girl.

Castille pointed, then said "That's Talia. I think she is in charge of Oleander."

"And" she continued "If you wanted to help sow them the moves, I will definitely try to find you when the time comes for the activity!" She looked around then said "I'm going to go look for my kids. Like I said, go talk to Talia. She'll tell ya where your cabin is and all that."

Castille waved to Aitana, then disappeared into the crowd, calling out the names on her list.

Skye had come out of where she was basically hiding when she heard Chris's voice. Maybe she could catch him here as well? She saw everyone else going up on stage and decided she should as well. She waited for the person up there to get off and went to the microphone.

"Hey kids! I am Skye and I will be looking out for the girls in daffodil so if you need me or anything I will probably be about here and there!" She smiled as she walked off the stage, wishing she didn't have to be here.

She saw Chris with a couple of girls she hadn't met before and wandered straight over to them.

"Hey!" She smiled, seeing Peter here was amusing for her at the least. She put her arm gently around Chris's back and smiled at him, the look that only he would know.

"I need you in the office later, sort out some final paperwork you haven't signed and stuff." Her voice was gentle, much more so then it would normally be.

"Oh and sorry for interrupting." She said, more her normal voice and aimed at both Paris and Lily.

"You know those stories where the parents keep children underneath stairwells because they don't want anyone to know they have another kid? That's Peter..." Chris said with a grimace, although they should know him well enough by this point to know that he'd never allow that to happen. He shook his head to dismiss any confusion after a few moments, though, offering a little shrug and explanation. "I guess it just never came up in conversation. We're at seven and eight years apart, my brothers and I. We're living in different generations, more or less."

He and his two brothers were drastically different in age, so it was difficult to have lots of things in common with them and actually know if they were similar or not. His parents claimed that he and Peter were similar, but he just didn't see it.

Chris smiled and nodded when they started talking about the Nutcracker, knowing it by name but very little other detail than that. He'd seen it a long time ago when he was little and didn't really care for cultured things... Or at least nothing beyond baseball...

"What?!" he blinked at Lily, staring at her in horror. "How did you do that?!" Why were people getting hurt all the time now?? Jada and Lily... who next?? Paris??

He hadn't noticed when Skye introduced herself, since he was trying not to freak out over Lily getting hurt, but he definitely noticed when an arm went around his back. His first reaction was to do nothing. He knew a lot of people and it wasn't uncommon for someone to come up and talk to him or hug him. In fact, he was getting ready to do just that, his arm lifted as though he was going to turn and hug whoever had just come up beside him...

Only for him to realize who it was, his face losing a few degrees of color as he awkwardly sidestepped away and almost into Lily. "S-Skye," he stuttered, the color in his face returning momentarily at his screw up. It wasn't as though he was scared of her! Or angry with her! He was just... feeling really awkward and out of place and... now very cornered.

"Paperwork, right, I'll do that," he rushed to get out, shaking his head at her apology. "No need- uh, didn't interrupt- I mean... Uh... Lily and Paris... Skye," he swallowed, although he forced a smile on his face that he hoped was convincing. "You, uh... scared me there," he half-lied, hoping it would explain why he almost jumped away from her touch. Wow, way to act like a moron, Chris...

————————————————————

He wasn't being a baby! It could have poked out his eye! Seriously!

Peter stuck his tongue out at Aitana as she walked away, pushing himself up from the ground to find somewhere else to sulk. Behind a tree or something would be nice. He supposed he could go over and talk to the other kids his age, but how fun could they be? Maybe he could just... get lost in his own little world and just... block everyone else out...? But that would be much too distracting.

He'd just pretend there was a giant slug creature moving up to eat the counselors as they introduced themselves, but because it was a slug, it moved too slowly for it to actually eat them. He cursed under his breath every time it 'missed', plopping himself down in the grass near the fence and out of the way of trampling feet.

Camp sucked.

"It's okay Chris" She smiled at the other two before they could really say anything. She just looked at Chris again and sighed, maybe one day... She missed the days that she and Chris could have a laugh and those more romantic moments. Still she would get him later.

"Just swing by the office later." She smiled again at the other two and left, she didn't want to make him feel more awkward but it at least gave her a challenge for camp. She had to try and get Chris to well at least be comfortable around each other. Maybe when he came in the office she would grab him.

She wandered around a little and smiled at Gently who seemed busy doing other things. Now would be the most perfect time to power up but she didn't dare, not yet.

Skye didn't hang about though, she looked over at Chris again and went looking for her girls. She wanted to at least know roughly what they looked like before hiding back in the office. After all wasn't someone else also looking out for them, they could do it for now.

-------------------

Lissy had smiled at Istas as Billy had left but she soon went wandering off. She had things to plan! She had seen someone try and take away Peter's phone earlier and so it was he she looked for.

She found him looking rather bored it seemed.

"Peter you do know they have to have internet and phone signals and stuff here... if you want I can help you find some?" Of course she was talking about stealing one of the councilors phones. After all there had to be something because they had to be able to call their parents. Lissy had been threatened by her mother several times before leaving.

"You wanna go look?" Lissy was bored as well and wasn't about to go settle in her cabin.

Paris glanced at Lily as well at the revelation of her injury. He wondered how she'd gotten it but didn't think it was his business to ask. Of course, Chris ended up doing that for him anyway. "That doesn't sound like a normal dance injury," he observed. That was his first thought, at least, though he supposed she could have gotten into a car accident or something equally commonplace.

He was quickly distracted as another girl joined them. He hadn't been paying attention as she'd introduced herself to the campers and didn't even realize she'd just been on stage. He stared at her as she put her arm around his sort-of-but-not unofficial boyfriend, his eyebrows lifting as he looked between her and Chris.

"Hi," he said slowly, after Chris has made his rather awkward introduction.

Paris wasn't exactly sure he liked the way this Skye person talked to Chris. He wasn't sure he liked the way she put her arm around him either, like she was used to doing things like that with him. The fact that Chris was reacting rather awkwardly didn't help matters are all, and for some reason Paris felt sort of... slighted, at least by the girl, almost like he wasn't even there, or as if he were merely an insignificant... thing... and that Chris was -- or had been -- somehow, in some way, hers.

He didn't like it, and his brows lowered as he bristled in indignation. Who did she think she was putting her arm around his cash cow??

Er... he meant his hopefully soon-to-be boyfriend...

Paris frowned as Skye walked away, barely giving he and Lily the time of day aside from smiling at them, and he rounded on Chris as soon as she was gone. "Who was that?" he asked, somewhat defensively.

Summer camp was something new to Arian, the concept of being away from family at some place in the middle of nowhere for a couple of weeks over the summer not something he’d experienced before. Saffy had told him that it was a common thing for people his age to do and that she knew that he’d love it. Arian hadn’t quite made up his mind on the ‘love’ part, but – considering that his summer to date had mostly been made up of exam revision and study for those school extra classes – figured that it would be nice to get away from all that for a couple of weeks.

The ‘singing’ had almost made him change his mind, making a long journey feel even longer. Most of the singing had been loud, enthusiastic and badly off-key. It had been impossible to fall asleep to escape it and Arian had spent most the journey feeling out of place and wondering just what his cousin had let him in for.

Arian was feeling more cheerful once the school bus had pulled into the parking lot and he’d gotten a good look at the place. Camp seemed... Big. He’d been one of the last people off the bus happy to let the others on the bus get off before him before heading off to try and find his bag. He’d just managed to hunt down his bag and was wondering what to do with himself next when a booming female voice made him physically jump. It was hard to miss the woman standing on the platform, even if the name –(did she really want to be called Kookaburra?) seemed a little odd. As she spoke Arian shifted closer towards the group of people near the platform.

Leah could hear one of the counselors shouting her name, and although she would have loved to stay and try to charm funny little Cass-with-great-hair, she had to go. She gave his great hair one last ruffle before she went, though. "I've gotta go meet my counselor," she said, making a face. "See you at dinner?"

She left the question hanging and hurried away to grab her duffle from the dwindling pile and track down Castille. Cub. Whatever she was calling herself.

"Hey, hey," she called after the blonde. "I'm Leah Derouen. I'm in your bunk."
