Calder tilted his head pausing his eating. His ears twitched as he looked at her. Eat her papa's soup? Was it better than this? He quickly nodded his head. He would like to do that some time.

He quickly finished his soup off and stood up. He wasn't sure what to do with his soup bowl so he held on to it. He nodded at her question but held up a finger in a 'one moment' gesture. He thought about how to ask her his question. He then began miming taking a drink and then the exchange between stall owner and customer. He wanted to learn how to do that.

Watching his gesturing motions, it took her a couple tries before figuring out what he was trying to ask. That's right. He'd never been to the market before. Why wouldn't he be curious about how it worked? Digging into her purse, she pulled out a few of the semi-precious coins and held them out for him to see, and started explaining about values and trading. Of course, she wasn't an expert on the matter. She simply knew how to do what was needed to get merchandise for herself.

When she had told all she knew, she was plenty ready for that drink. She guided him back to first drop off the bowls, and then head for the fruit drink stall. There were a few flavors available and she cocked her head in thought. What might Calder like..? She chose pomegranate for herself, and grape for him. Catching herself before handing over the money, she made a point to count it out for Calder's curiosity. Then she took the glasses and held Calder's out to him, hoping she had chosen properly.

Calder grin when she figured out what he was asking. He listened closely to her explanation and looked at the coins. He had never seen them before. He wondered how one went about getting the coins. Did he have to set up a stall and sell some food or drinks?

He followed her around and dropped off his bowl. He then followed her to the fruit drink stall and looked at the few listed flavors. He wondered what they tasted like for some were ones he had never had before. He almost missed her counting out the coins but when he heard them jingle he quickly looked. He watched her as she counted them, quickly getting the values of the coins and the drinks. He took his glass and looked at the purple liquid. Grape, one of his least favorite fruits. He gave her a tight smile and quickly downed the drink. No sense in wasting it just because he didn't like grapes.

Noticing the look that crossed Calder's face at the offered drink, her ears fell. Her eyes widened slightly, staring as he forced the drink down so quickly. That couldn't be good for his belly...

"Would you like to try this instead?" She asked softly, apologetic for having picked out the wrong juice for him and holding out her own glass, which she hadn't even sipped from yet. She'd been too surprised with his reaction to drink. "Or, you could buy a different one.. I think I have enough for one more."

Calder gave the glass back and shook his head at Glori. No it was her drink and she didn't need to buy him anything else. It wasn't her fault she didn't know that he didn't like grape. He quickly began to walk away, heading back to the oak tree they had eaten at. His stomach wasn't protesting the way he had down the juice but it probably would later on. So for now he would just sit down and rest. Maybe that would help make it so it wouldn't get upset.

And the day had started out so well... Glori knew she shouldn't let it bother her, since of course she hadn't known, but it did. She was one of those girls who tended to think that any mistake she made was a complete and utter failure in everyone else's eyes; and Calder's quick escape, as innocent as it was, only aided in confirming her thoughts that he was mad at her. Her head hung slightly, eyes on her drink and fingernails ticking against the glass idly before she dared take a sip for herself. How shameful a hostess she was! She was hesitating on following after him. Of course, after such a grave error in judgment, he probably wouldn't even want to look at her!

This dramatic side of her wasn't seen often, since her family was usually there to provide instant encouragement to help her feel better. This time, they weren't there, and Calder didn't know of her inner drama. Of course he wouldn't know how a teenage girl's mind worked. So, she remained standing awkwardly in place, sipping her drink, wondering if she could ever repair the damage that had surely been done. How cruel fate was, allowing her to find the friend she had thought lost in the large world and letting her give him the juice he didn't like...

Calder sat down and closed his eyes to relax. He thought that Glori had been following but after a few minutes of silence he knew she hadn't. He opened his eyes and looked around. She wasn't any where in sight. Maybe she was still at the stall. He frowned at that thought thinking that she might be buying a different drink for him, even though he said no. He waited still, his tail flicking showing his irritation. He began to frown even more as he saw no sign of her walking towards the tree he was at.

In his mind dark thunderstorm clouds began to appear along with the sound of thunder. He was getting quite irritated, so much that he was losing control over his thoughts that could summon storms with simple pictures in his mind. He thought he was just imagining the thunder but actually it was booming across town making the stall owners glance up at the sky warily. Where was she?!

((Ah a can of worms has been opened up! XD And so you know... he's only so irritated cause he thinks she's spending her money to get more juice for him. ))

Still standing where Calder had left her, sipping her drink on a most morose of moods, it took her a moment to realize she was hearing thunder. Her head finally lifted and she gave the sky a curious look. Another storm? Was it natural this time? It looked like it had taken everyone else by surprise though; even more so than the last rain storm had. Nibbling her lip, she looked down at her half-empty glass and shook her head, placing it onto the counter and making her way back to where she had seen Calder hurry off to. She should at least check to see if he was okay after forcing that drink down, since it was her fault he'd had it.

When she finally caught sight of him, she could immediately tell he was agitated, since he'd been so calm earlier. He must be so angry with her! She forced herself forward though, needing to make things right again in her mind. Looking as apologetic as anyone could look, she slunk over to his side with her head hanging. "I'm sorry I got you the wrong drink." She murmured, slowly raising her eyes upon remembering that he couldn't give her any vocal responce. How rude of her to forget that for even a moment!

Calder had just stood up when Glori walked into view. He immediately picked up a stick and began writing. By the time she reached him he had finished writing but had to write again when she apologized. Once she raised her eyes he angrily pointed to the ground. He took a few steps away so she could stand where he had stood so she could read the message. 'WHERE WERE YOU!? I thought you were right behind me when I left the drink place! You didn't buy me another drink did you?! And it doesn't matter that you got me the wrong drink. How were you to know I don't like that flavor. It was fine.'

It was only then that he really heard and understood the rumble of thunder. He sighed and began writing again. 'Looks like we need to find another place to rest. Going to rain. Stupid rain magic.' Soon a bolt of lighting flashed across the sky.

Her eyes flicking quickly over what Calder had written, she shook her head slowly, keeping her head down. "You didn't want another drink. Why would I get you one?" Her paws shuffled uncomfortably along the ground, ears down sadly. Why was he wondering where she'd been? "..You're mad at me. I just wanted to give you a little space like you wanted."

Glancing up at the lighting and the following thunder, she looked back down at the last bit of writing. Immediately, she frowned and looked up at him. "Your magic isn't stupid." She insisted, eyes flicking back off to the side again in case he was still mad.

Calder huffed although no noise was made. He began writing again to answer her question. 'You seem like the type who would to make up for a 'mistake'. But you didn't know that I didn't like that flavor so its not your fault.' He wrote before continuing, 'I didn't want space. Just a place to sit and I wasn't mad at you until I thought you might be buying me another juice to make up for the grape one. .......... I'm sorry I got irritated over that.' He made sure that when she read the last part that he rolled his eyes at her and then gave her a short stare.

Hearing her insist that his magic isn't stupid he shook his head. 'Perhaps not stupid but it is very annoying.' He didn't like that if he stopped paying attention for one moment his magic would run amok.

Glorianna read the written words carefully. She didn't really believe he wasn't mad at her until the apology came up, and saw the eye roll when she peeked up. A smile lit her face back up, and once he'd written his last note about his magic, she reached over and gave his arm a hug. "You just need more practice!" She said cheerfully, tail swaying now that she felt better. "So, what would you like to do now? Did you want to see anything else in town?" She raised a hand and tapped her fingers against her lip. "Maybe the book store?"

Calder couldn't help but smile back when Glori smiled at him. It just felt natural to smile back at her. In fact his heart did a little flip-flop at the smile returning. He had a passing thought about why she had been so down over the small mistake but it was drowned in the thought that she should always be smiling.

He rolled his eyes at her saying he only needed more practice. Yeah he probably did but man who knew how much practice he would need until he didn't need to constant screen his thoughts about weather. He was in the middle of nodding that he would like to do see something else in town when she said book store. His head instantly froze and then cocked to the side. Book.... store? He knew about a store but what was a book? He quickly wrote book on the ground followed by a question mark.

Glorianna's brow rose in surprise, but then her expression softened in surpressed excitement. She'd get to show his something else he'd never been to! "Come on! I think you'll really like it." She purred, giving his arm a gentle tug. She looked around once to reorient herself, and then set off in the proper direction. It wasn't very far, and soon enough she was looking in the front window at the rows of shelves covered in literature. "Here. Book store." She waited for Calder to look inside, tail twitching in anticipation as she held the door for him.

Calder was basically dragged to this so called book store. Once there he walked inside and looked around. He took in the store for a moment and turned to look at Glorianna with a confused look. What was so great about this store? He didn't notice anything that would mark it as something spectacular.

When he glanced around all he saw was shelves and tables stacked with stuff. He saw nothing attention grabbing or exciting. He didn't realize that the 'stuff' he was dismissing on the shelves were paper bound with a hard or 'soft' cover making them books. He just saw them as lumps/piles of leather or paper or whatever else was used to bound the book.
