"..Good," Shun said at first. Now if only the hellhound would stop howling his damn head off. It was really starting to grate at his nerves. With a huff, he glared at that particular student, then glanced back at Mitsu when she asked him something.
"Math?" he repeated. It seemed like a random question to him since he didn't quite know he was sitting in a math class right now. Maybe it was something the white haired wolf really enjoyed or whatever.
"Not particularly," he answered after a beat. More often than not, he would end up mixing something up even if he understood how something should work. It made math more frustrating and troublesome to deal with than he'd like.

Alright so she liked his smile. But grins like that she'd learned not to trust thank you! Or maybe it was just grins like that on two particular boils that were her best friends. But this Sparrow was very...sweet.
Maybe this class wouldn't be that bad after all, if you could get past the strange gibberish being and overall...usual behavior. And meeting someone new was a pretty good way to start off a class. LW had some hope that this class wouldn't be like...the first two she'd gone back to since...well that trip. Besides, she at least had Tybalt and Jove (she'd caught the pup's scent and saw him back over by the group speaking gibberish). Two friendly faces. Oh and that was Junko back there too! Speaking...gibberish.
"Oh?" The she-wolf's attention went back to Sparrow, head tilting in her usual curious manner. She'd moved to pull her legs up in the chair, tail wrapping around them. Violet eyes regarded the boil for a moment before recognition of the name fully clicked. In fairness, she rarely called (or heard her called) Coralie by her full name. "Cora?! You're Cora's cousin?" She liked the ghoul. And that adorable gargoyle boil always with her. The two were kindred spirits that loved to have a good time and could arrange awesome parties. And games. Like Truth or Dare. She thought fondly. Only to have her thoughts disrupted by rather loud howling. Her gaze immediately locked on the hellhound and her nose wrinkled. What awful howling. Didn't hounds know how to really howl? Maybe she should take him out for howling lessons. With Jove.
"He needs lessons in howling." LW muttered, but flashed a smile up at Sparrow. "I am doing much better this morning than I thought I would be." She paused, then added, "I really didn't want to attempt coming to class again." But, the she-wolf had to admit it was better than sitting in her room and worrying about things. "And what about you, Sparrow? How has your morning been?"

Mitsu nodded slightly when Shun repeated the word 'math' as if to confirm he had heard her correctly. Her ears had perked up a little now that the noise wasn't as intense one of them up while the other was down.
"Not particularly?" She questioned the reaper back. Maybe he was being made to take this class, it was hard to say. She wasn't exactly here by choice but she wasn't terrible with numbers.
"Will you need help then?" She asked pointing at the book. "With homework?" She clarified after a moment trying to work on fully explaining what she meant. The wolf girl was starting to realize her short phrases didn't always make sense to others even if they did to her in her own mind.

Furrowing his brow, Shun connected the dots there. Had he walked into the wrong room? Quickly, his eyes darted about the class before pulling out a small slip from his pocket. He saw the room number there... and now he realized it didn't quite match the number on the door.
Well s**t.
The reaper had already signed in.. so he didn't think there was much of a point to walk out right now. Crumpling the slip, he stuffed it back into his pocket then finally addressed the question.
"Eh, you'll already have your own homework to worry about," he said, not really liking to burden others. Whatever homework they'd get, it no doubt would be a pain to deal with however.

Damien was glad for his little moment of counter attack when he stopped to gasp for air, Howling for long periods of time were torturous on the vocal chords, But he would relish in the sounds of chatter that he understood, at least he could understand the words "Can it" from the reaper he never noticed before. "Oh so you all do know English still!" he said to Junko in a mischievous grin. "I though for a minute there you all were trying to howl too, just wanted to give an example of it." he said coolly trying to hide his real intention for him getting vocal.
Despite the sudden attention it brought to himself and feeling the need to shy away from it all, he was rather pleased as punch for breaking up the odd chatter. He did notice that the foxfire gave that "What are you doing now, stop it" face before being smothered by a ghoul that clung to him like a lifeline, a short, fuzzy lifeline. He had to turn a blind eye to the cuddlepile to his side before he tried to join in.
This class was supposed to be about numbers and functions and the scariest stuff in the world. Quadratic equations and factoring
He didn't know that cuddlepiles were allowed, but if he could multiply them, he'd do it in a heartbeat.

Mitsu tilted her head as Shun seemed to be processing something. She watched him carefully as he produced a piece of paper from his pocket and looked at the number on it and then the number on the door. Had...he walked into the wrong room? Guess he was committed now, he had already signed in, but she had to wonder where he thought he was.
"I-I don't mind helping," She insisted. "We'll be working on the same thing so its no trouble." Curiously she tilted her head the other way, her mask not giving way to the expression on her face. "D-Did you end up in the wrong class?"

Tybalt had completely passed out during the wait; his upper body sprawled out over the surface of his desk, while his limbs hung over the edges. It must have been school tradition for the teachers to make their students wait for them. Unfortunately, Tybalt was not one for waiting. So rather than continually sitting up straight in his chair, he napped. Or at least he did up until he heard someone call his name.
Ears perking, the black dog awoke to two familiar faces, though one was actually the back of their head.
"Huh? LW... Jove...?" He asked slowly confused about why they were in his room before remembering that this was actually the classroom.
Oh.. right...
A little more awake now, Tybalt stretched his arms up behind his head and gave a large yawn; showing off all of his serrated teeth. Only, now that he was awake, he could hear all the different chatter going on around him---in what seemed to be a foreign language..?
"Huh...? Am I still asleep..?" He asked his two canine friends, rubbing at his eyes and staring around the room blearily.

Shun didn't seem completely happy to know that he was in a math class now. Grimacing at the thought, he looked back at Mitsu, seemingly considering her offer. Well.. that would be nice..
However..
"Eh... depending on the homework I might not bother," he said flatly before letting out a sigh.
"Yeah. I thought this was a different class, but whatever. Stuck here for now."

Mitsu tilted her head again, trying to absorb Shun's comment. Not even bother with his homework? She would be scolded and punished if she even considered that. Mitsu always completed her homework and generally quickly if she didn't struggle with it. "I..I promise I can help." Mitsu stuttered a little, growing quiet again shortly after.
The crowd and the noise was finally taking its toll on her nerves. Usually in class she was able to ignore her fear of others and work...but the teacher was taking so long to get here. She hadn't planned on being so early but she didn't want to be late.

Sheridan gave Petro a smile, glad to see at least one person he knew. Even better it was someone who was neither speaking a language he did not understand nor was he squealing and making an inordinate amount of noise.
"No need, it was a pleasure."
Stakespear wasn't really a pleasure, but he hadn't minded helping Petro. On the contrary he was impressed by Petro's determination, and despite the difficulties of the work itself, Sheridan did not regret the help he had offered.
Now if only this class would start. The dragon was growing annoyed with the noise and unnecessary activity in the room. He supposed he really shouldn't begrudge them, but this was a math class, not a social party.

It seemed that Mitsu was pretty determined to help him out with his homework. While he did appreciate the offer in a sense, he would probably end up slowing her down. Even so.. it was tempting. It could make the whole thing less troublesome to deal with.
"..Maybe.." he said quietly, sort of agreeing but not fully committing to the answer.
Regarding the noise, it was little loud for his personal tastes. While he didn't really want to be in this particular class, he did have to wonder about the professor. The sooner things got started, the sooner he could be over with this torture.

While the students chattered and talked amongst each other, a young man entered the room, preoccupied with a thick sheaf of papers in his hands. Some students may have seen the draconic professor around campus in the past week or so, in the office or entering the staff room, silently going about his business with minimal fuss and bluster, and that was precisely how he sat down to leaf through the papers. He looked less than interested in their contents. After a minute or two he stood up and erased the Discrete Mathematics title on the board. Then he turned to address the students. "Welcome class," he said, in a gentle, slightly androgynous voice, that held a bit of a rasp in the lower register. "My name is Mikael Walker, and I will be filling in for your regular professor this session." He looked around and surveyed the students in attendance with something that could have been dry humour. "I am sure you were all looking forward to Discrete Mathematics. But I will teach you something different today. Come with me." Then he walked out of the room, the bone claws on his boots tapping on the floor as he went. The substitute teacher led the students out of the main building and all the way across campus to a small wooded area. "We will be building something today, so please find some materials that will be of use. Please do not wander too far. I would not want anyone to get hurt or eaten, it looks like there have been some large creatures in the area recently." He leaned against a tree to supervise and gave no further instruction or advice. OOC: To proceed, roll three six-sided dice and include at least one post of your student hunting for their stuff. The dice roll will determine what materials your student picks up in the woods.
1 - Two sticks 2 - A slimy plank with lichen on one end 3 - A long stretch of vine 4 - One giant beetle shell 5 - A small handful of mushrooms 6 - Two hefty rocks
For this round you are allowed to roll the dice and then edit in your RPed post, it will be open until Saturday to gather your materials. =3 At this point latecomers are allowed, you can just RP your student coming in right before the teacher, or catching the group as they head out to the woods.

THE MATH WAS A LIE.
Tomoko had immediately returned to her seat when the teacher had walked in, sitting herself down and looking at the professor with a sort of awe...until he'd erased the board and told them they were doing something else. She looked utterly crushed by this new news, ears drooping.
Noooooo! She was good at math! She had an abacus and everything!! She wasn't going to get to show off that skill she actually had?
She sniffled a bit.
None the less, when Mr. Walker said out, she got up and started to follow, making sure that she didn't seem to anxious to get moving.. because she wasn't. She was just now worried that something horrible was going to happen and she was going to have to try to not get eaten by sharks again.
Tomoko never wanted to see a shark again for as long as she lived. Too bad that wasn't an option.
She just sniffled lamely once they were outside, looking at all the trees. She liked trees..maybe this wouldn't be so bad! Trees were good! None the less, Tomoko hesitated before she went out into the trees to start looking for things, her ball of starts carefully tucked on her person to keep it from running away without her...

Mitsu's attention quickly turned from Shun to the front of the class as the teacher, or who she presumed was the teacher, arrived. She was new so her knowledge of the staff was very slight but he seemed to fit the bill as he took his place in the front of the class leafing through papers.
The wolf girl watched him curiously in silence her body posture only changing when Mr. Walker spoke up and erased the 'Discrete Mathematics' from the board. W...wait....they were doing something else? This wasn't going to be math??? Mitsu wasn't prepared to do anything else! She had come ready for the subject that had been posted on the board.
Inwardly she started to panic though outwardly the only visible change was her ears pressing back against her head in a pitiful manner. But the teacher was moving so she guessed she should follow. Hesitantly she got up from her seat lingering back for a moment to look at Lizzy and Shun her posture looking very unsure as she continued her way outside.
Following the teacher across campus Mitsu had to wonder where they were going to end up but that question was finally answered when he came to a stop by a small wooded area. They...were going to build something? The wolf girl had to worry, she wasn't sure she could build something though she had never really tried. Guess she would find out. Before she headed out though she paused again looking unsure her masked gaze turning toward Shun and Lizzy again. He had issued a warning....they could get eaten?

Turning towards the front of the class as the professor came on in, Shun grimaced, not really looking forward to things. However, he was soon pleasantly surprised as it turned out they wouldn't be learning math here. Instead, it was going to be something a lot more hands on. Now that he could do no problem.
A quick glance to the side told him that Mitsu wasn't as happy with this change. With the way her ears were positioned, he would guess that she was actually feeling rather apprehensive. As for why, he wasn't sure.
He went on and followed the group on outside to the wooded area. The reaper was about to set out on his own but caught the wolf girl looking in his direction. Something about her posture still seemed hesitant.
"..Come on," he urged while stuffing his hands into his pockets and venturing out to see what he could find.
