((XD I had to go back and reread just to remember where they were going in the first place!))
Unai couldn't help but return Ambra's grin with a small one of his own. "Well, now we're finally getting within range of better hunting grounds." Indeed, though the ground was still sandy it was far more compact, a little more soil-like, with tufts of hard grass sprouting up here and there. "If you're still hungry, we might be able to spot rabbits or large lizards soon. Camels or donkeys are too much for just two of us and goats are usually closer to the mountains."
He tilted his head as he spoke, watching Ambra, then turned and looked out over the land. "We could maybe catch a sunset later, if you wanted to stay overnight?"

"I don't think I've ever eaten a lizard. Rabbits, squirrels, and various other rodents are so easily available where I live that I mostly just ignore the lizards. Plus the lizards where I live would never be described as 'large'. How large is large for a lizard?" Ambra asked, her tail curling into a question mark. As she'd mentioned earilier, she never made fun of someone's food choice. She also never turned her nose up at new experiances or new food choices. However, lizards did seem an odd choice for food, and how were they supposed to catch the quick little critters?
His invitation to stay made her smile, even though he was looking in a different direction. "I'd love to stay overnight and see a sunset, so long as you don't mind." She replied. Looking around, she did frown slightly. "Is there a shelter around here? Or do we just sleep in the sand?" She was worried about snakes. Snakes sometimes got into her cave and she had a special stick that she used to fling the poisonous ones out of her home. The non-poisonous ones were allowed to stay as long as they liked, but Ambra still kept an eye on them.

Unai shook his head. "It's pretty cold around here at night, if you could believe it, so snakes tend to stay in their dens. Long as don't kip near those we should be fine. All they do in the morning is slither out to sit on nearby rocks and warm up before they begin their day." Snakes could be nuisances out here, and had been, but there were always ways to deal with them.
"Lizards around here don't tend to grow any bigger than snack size. We have hawks and stuff around, so they have to be small if they want to hide properly." Unai shrugged. "They aren't really worth going out to hunt, but if there's an opportunity they aren't so bad to eat. Or if you feel like doing something mind-numbing that needs a lot of concentration. Good way to help you forget about problems for a little. Only thing about hunting lizards, you really have to watch out for snakes at the same time."
He tilted his head a little, a small ghost of a smile on his face. "I usually go out and hunt them a lot, if you can't tell already."
