Riley was proud of Nukpana's helpfulness. That pride disappeared as he dare speak while she was monologuing.
Big mistake.
NUKPANA GET UP HERE. Riley called out - perhaps a little too forcefully, and to amend her sudden sharp tones she smoothly added. I need your help with my presentation.
Her eyes flickered to Junko, and she shook her head. When I say never, I mean never. It is the club rule. No one is ever to be a step within this room alone. You don't need one of the trainers, but you must have someone with you.

Nuk seemed completely surprised as Riley's voice practically snapped at him in his head, blinking and turning to stare at her, his mouth open. She didn't seem too happy either... he got the feeling she had more in mind than just him 'helping her with the presentation.' "What'd I do?!" he exclaimed, vocalizing the reluctance before grumbling a bit, getting to his feet to move over by her side, knowing acutely he was in trouble. He got in trouble a lot. Dammit, why here too?!

She may have fled from the scene but she still very clearly heard him from where she was. Junko blinked, paused, and looked very confused by that last part. What was that supposed to mean? She meant the trap of niceness! Nuk was weird, and he didn't make sense. She was about to retort when Riley's voice rang through their heads again. Junko winced. Oh dear...she'd just gotten Nuk in trouble? Okay, now she felt bad. She mouthed an 'I'm sorry!' to Nuk and bit down on her lip, looking to Riley again. She'd buy him lunch or something to make it up to him.
"Oh~. Okay." She replied to Riley, looking appeased by it just being a club rule. Guess it made sense..if someone got hurt they should have someone nearby to help them. If they got locked in the sauna, they'd need someone to get them out...stuff like that. It made sense!

Aksaja was fighting back a yawn. Blah blah, rules, equipment, trainers . . . did any of this really matter? Bad enough he had to get up early some days for CLASS, but now for a club? Sure, he'd made that stupid deal with Riley, but his own club wasn't even started yet, so where was the payoff?
Why was he even HERE? Oh right, probably because she'd kill him or something if he wasn't. Uuuggh. And she was his friend. Right? Right. Mmhm.
Kay, forget holding back the yawn, now people were asking questions. Boooring. This paintball thing sounded kind of interested but not this Jacking early in the morning!

What was Nuk referring to? Cause of the what? Hood? Mot clung to his hood and pulled at it further. "I usually... have a hat..." He muttered solemnly. His hood wasn't giving him the same confident security a hood was. Sob! It wasn't a usual thing for Mot to be so withdrawn, but without his hat, and being in a gym like setting... things added up.
Mot turned slightly as the staring ghoul approached/slided up to them, ranting about Nuk being no good? She seemed to be trying to warn him. Protect him. Mot stared at her as she went on, more amused than wary. He would have included more in the conversation, but Riley began to speak. His attention moved away from Nuk and Junko, and regarded the leader.
For the most part it seemed like usual orientation junk, but one thing perked Mot's ears. Paintball. Paintball meant guns. NOW he was liking this place a whole lot more! Working out wasn't his thing. Shooting things totally was.
It seemed his new buddy got snipped at, and summoned to Riley's side. Mot smirked a bit at Nuk's reluctance, waving a bit as the skinwalker left. What an interesting bunch.

This.... this made no sense to Damien. He wasn't sure what to think as he let out a confused woof. Was he already losing his marbles from this place? "How is she talking? She's not moving her mouth." he mused out loud, forgetting what was going on. hey it was fair for him to be confused about this, it never happened before! It was even stranger for him to "hear" what she was "saying". He poked at his left ear that twitched from the contact. No they were still there.
He wanted to keep his focus on Riley in front, but he eyes kept straying over to the ghoul in between the two hostile boils, she looked awfully familiar from somewhere, but that line of thought could wait as the one with the pelt was singled out, Nuk as it were.

West suspected he was late, but to be honest, he didn't really care. If Riley revealed something that was truly so revolutionary to the practices of punching s**t or sprinting nowhere in the whole twenty minutes he was absent, then, well, he supposed he was going to miss it. Too bad, so sad. He knew how to run and punch s**t. What West wanted to learn was how to continue doing so for long stretches of time. He was firmly in the 'incapacitate quickly and go do something else' camp, but after seeing just how many students around here could run for miles and miles with no ill effects, he figured he should probably get in on that as well. Catching the tail end of Riley's initial speech and her summoning of a boil he didn't think he had met before, West immediately declared the proceedings fairly boring. See? It paid to come late. Little did he know he had missed some barely restrained rage by mere minutes. He printed his name on the sign in sheet and took a seat near the back of the group. ROLL CALL SIGN IN SHEET 1. Unstabul 2. Christof 3. Nuk 4. Altair 5. Damien 6. Shehk 7. Seiji 8. Mot 9. Astra 10. Jericho 11. Junko 12. Petro 13. Sammy 14. Lizzy 15. Aksaja 16. West

When Shehk jumped, Christof started as well, glancing around to see what caused her tail to fluff so- oh. It was just miss Lizzy. He swallowed, tentatively giving her a wave as well, hoping beyond hope Amrita hadn't... said anything... about that incident some weeks ago. She seemed protective of the bodysnatcher, and he didn't blame her, but he didn't particularly want to cause a scene in the middle of his Mistress's big meeting.
He did, though, gingerly slide an arm around Shehk's shoulders to try to give her a soothing, friendly pat, positively beaming when Riley announced his responsibilities. He would be a good equipment manager. It was certainly more exciting than cleaning Barth's dormitory.
No one was walking out with a paintball gun or anything, or else they'd have to deal with an angry Igor. His shovel might have been left in his dorm room, but there were plenty of heavy blunt objects locked away where only he had a key.

Malodore had actually sidled into the room a little bit earlier - not right at the beginning, true, but it was good at blending in and being quiet. It was in the back of the room, tucked into a corner, only half-listening to what people were saying. Instead, it had chosen to focus on the club members... looking at them, assessing their physical capabilities and likely weaknesses. A good doctor knows its patients, after all - and how to try and ensure that they don't become patients too soon.
And Riley was doing a splendid job, naturally. This arrangement was going to be extremely mutually beneficial. The plague doctor had to resist the urge to rub its hands together in glee.

Shehk looked at the hand on her shoulder, giving it a curious look before passing it off. Clearly because Christof hadn't been crude yet, she hadn't deemed him a 'threat' in terms of physical contact. As though suspicious of him, Shehk shot a leer at Altair.
Then Nuk got called out and Shehk gave the skinwalker an amused grin. She'd clearly need to work on training him a bit better. At least she assumed she'd need to, passing the thought off passively with a grin before looking to Riley.... and then making a brand new face.
... .....
"...Paintball, Riley?" she inquired, obviously not in the know about the game against the NAP club and making a slight face because of it. Unfortunately, she had to hope that her inquiry wouldn't get her turned into another slave example for the mindflayer. Then again, it wasn't like she was asking too many questions and/or monologuing while Riley was explaining things.
So she'd be good, right?

Riley patted Nukpana on the shoulder and squeezed it as if to ease his worries. Of course, her words did no such thing. I'm trying to talk to my new club members, Nukpana. Your rowdy voice is just so charming that it was interrupting my speech. So now you get to sit up here with me and play teacher's pet.
She turned and gave Demi an odd look, one brow raising high in surprise. You're newer here than I thought. My apologies, I thought we'd met.. you look so familiar. Well, regardless - I speak through the mind. It's.. my thing. That's not what this meeting is about, so let's get back on topic.
Regarding the latecomers with a withered gaze (could she really be surprised at who it was? Aksaja didn't even want to be here - and West.. was just here to hit things. She knew the deal.) she returned to her instruction.
Now that we're all acquainted, I'll give you a quick run through of our facilities. I think most of you have noticed we have a sauna - and I have a warning for that. If you use the sauna, please pay special attention to how you feel. It is very easy to fall asleep or pass out in the heat - and that, of course, is one of many reasons why you have to have someone with you at all times. So please, don't fall asleep in there, and if you feel light headed or dizzy, get out.
The same goes for any machine or area you use here, of course, the sauna is just the most dangerous for that particular situation. It is also easy for you to overdo it using one of our cardio machines, so start out slow, and check your vitals often.
She gestured towards the boxing ring. The boxing ring has a few rules, as well. Obviously, gloves on at all times while within it. I mean it. No blood spilled in that ring, or it gets taken away. Next, if someone taps out, you stop.
She paused here, and her eyes thinned to slits. Her voice had been very civil and businesslike this whole time, but it changed in an instant to an ominous, soul-chilling baritone.
This is not your personal revenge ring. If someone says stop, or taps out, you stop, or I will find you, and you will regret it.
Shehk's question snapped her out of her evil tone, and she nodded. We'll get to paintball in a moment - ah, and if you look behind you, you'll notice our resident doctor, which I mentioned earlier. She gave Malodore a little finger-curling wave, and her features lifted. She even bent in a little bit, almost a little shy.
...Quick, everyone look at Malodore, and not her. It's for your own safety.

Ah! Malodore straightened and doffed its hat, bowing to the assembled group. "Buon giorno - I believe I am acquainted with most of you, but for those of you unaware, my name is L.C. Malodore. Please, call me Malodore. I have the honor of assisting as attendant doctor and medical advisor."
It radiated pride as it said it. It was serving as a doctor! In some almost official capacity! Be quick its undead heart!

When Shehk seemed unresponsive to his attempts to sooth, he timidly lowered his arm, twisting his hand up to scratch the back of his head as though that had been his intention all along. He cleared his throat, instead following the mental commands to spy the plague doctor. When had it gotten here? He hadn't even noticed, nor said hello! Hopefully Mal didn't find him rude. Flushing, he gave it a little wave as well, mouth twisting upward in hopefully a friendly smile and gave it an encouraging thumbs up. Certainly the best doctor they could want, save for Nurse Cricket herself. Mal at least knew how to put a person together again very excellently.
They were in good hands.
Er, Talons.
Blades?
He settled for hands.

As a few more people drifted in, Astra was quick to spot jericho as he entered into the room. At once she felt like finding a nice place to hide until the dragon went away, and it took a lot of self control not to do just that. She was going to stay in this fitness club regardless of how difficult it was going to be! She was getting tired of being perceived as weak or little anyway.
As he moved away, she glared at him behind his back even going so far as to pull faces at him (immature, but she didn't care) then realized that riley was starting the meeting, so she flew towards the mats to sit down and listen to the orientation.
It was easy enough to understand, although listening to who the trainers were caused her to sigh. Nuk appeared to be the guy with the fur on his back and was currently getting into trouble from riley. He...didn't look like someone who would help her.in her training. And she would drop dead before asking jericho for help. Maybe sammy would be better?
When Askaja and Lizzy arrived late, she crawled a little closer on the mat so she could sit next to the pink haired demon and gave her a smile in greeting. "Hi lizzy" she said quietly as to not interrupt rileys speech. While she assumed lizy didn't like her much..it would ne nice to become better friends with her, especially since they were in the club together and it would nice to have other ghouls to talk to here

Oh, she had done it now. Although the tone was quite obviously not meant to stroke his massive ego, despite the fact that he was being punished the skinwalker made an absolutely tickled face, clearly pleased by the content of what she'd said. It didn't matter that she was quite obviously making fun of him, he'd already taken the words and run with them, and now it was far too late for her to take them back. He'd never let her live them down. His grin completely smug, Nuk turned to completely face Riley, looking positively devilish as he answered her.
"You think I'm charming~?"
It didn't matter that she'd basically called him a pet, a term he hated with every fiber of his being. He was too busy gleeing to be put out, making faces at Junko and waggling his eyebrows at Mot, teasing them from the sidelines. Just because you separated a child didn't mean he'd stop trying to poke the other.
