Darion opened his eyes and sighed."We sleep in trees. Lets get Climbing." Darion began to climb a tree high enough were he couldn't be grabbed by anything like jumped up to get him."It's getting dark...We will call it a night and continue in the morning... Lets hope we can catch a animal in the morning for food..." Darion said as his clothes began to freeze to the tree. Darion was luckily a light sleeper so He would wake up if anything was around."Keep your senses sharp...Have a good nights sleep...I have a feeling we will be here awhile..." He said as he closed his eyes and began to fall asleep

Agreeing, Jack climbed the tree. It was getting dark and Jack didn't want to be roaming the forests at night. Picking a large tree branch close to where Darion was sitting, Jack leaned against the tree and closed his eyes. He to was a light sleeper, it came with the job of being a warrior. Luckily the meal he ate this morning served him well today...he reminded himself he should eat more, more often, lest you get sent on a suicidal trip into the forest equivalent of hell. Grasping the hilt of his rapier he fell to sleep, knowing full well and believing that he would wake up the next morning,

Darion woke up almost instantly from the noise being made, He had no idea what it was but it obviously wasn't nice. Darion quickly looked over to Jack."Jack, We're not alone..." Darion said as he listened for any braking of branches or rustling of leaves. Darion was completely aware of his surrounding.

Jack heard it to and stood up on the branch. He noticed it was day break, so his first thought was that he was thankful they were able to get a good nigths sleep. The yelling woke him up though. He thought it strange that there were people this far deep into the forest.
"Curiosity killed the cat Darion", Jack began, "But if there are indeed people here, they are obviously in trouble. Do we wish to leave them to there fate"? Jack already knew the answer to that question as he drew his rapier, ready to go once Darion made his decision.

Darion looked at Jack blankly as he stood up on the branch."Think for a moment Jack. This is a island filled with fighters and failed experiments that have been in these jungles." Darion pointed outward to the Jungle."Do the math. The chances of those being warrior's are slim. The chances of those being Genetically enhanced savages are high." Darion put his hand down and sighed."We can't take any chances... This is survival of the fittest anyways... Being a Hero out here is a death warrant..." Darion said as he waited.

Jack understood his logic, but if there was a small chance of anyone being subjected to trouble that didn't deserve it, Jack would get involved if he could help it. Still, Darion spoke the truth, but more knowledge about the situation was necessary.
"I'm not asking to go blindly charging in. Lets be stealthy about this. I say we be slow and quite on are approach, scout out the situation. Then decide to act". He waited for Darion to respond. Information after all, is power...and it would keep them alive.

Darion glared at Jack."Jack, if I'm right we would be at a disadvantage.Those things are attempted to this place...If you're so curious then lets go." Darion said as he looked down and began carefully climbing down the tall tree."If we get separated and manage to survive try making smoke signals or something...This way one of us will come running but when you start the smoke signal hide...Something else might be watching..." Darion spoke loud enough so Jack could hear him as he climbed downwards.

Jack shook his head replying, "Not curious. Worried. While the chances are most definitely slim that who we'll find are other students, I will not live with the fact that we would ignore sounds that could possibly be from students. If I'm wrong, and I probably am, at least we will know what was making those noises".
Jack began to climb downwards, nodding at what Darion said to him about the possibility of someone listening. He considered the possibility to. As he touched the ground, he waited for Darion's reaction.

Darion grabbed Jacks arm and closed his eyes once again activating his Chi Sense.He pointed in a the direction that seemed to be the source of the screams."Lead the way...I got you covered..." he said as he looked around the area. Nothing was around them, yet...

The shouts get closer and closer. While human, they sound wild. Suddenly a wave of tribal warriors, covered in white ash, charge through the woods behind our heroes. Their movements are so fast its almost inhuman, leaving behind a blurred pattern of movement that can only be seen once they stop at a tree and glance around before moving again. It isn't long until they sense the presence of Jack and Darion. They quickly swarm to them, their numbers in the dozens.

Darion pulled Jack back."Come on we're running..." Darion said as he grabbed Jack and began to run. The ground was fairly wet which would help Darion in the end."If we make it to a clearing we have a chance. Besides with the ground being so wet I have an advantage!" Darion said with each step the ground began to freeze over with slippery Ice behind them.

Though Darion sensed the first it wasn't long before he heard the intense rustling of leaves becoming louder and louder, signifying something was closing in on them fast, and there was a lot of them. These definitely weren't students, the sounds sounded primal in nature as grunting resounded throughout the forest. Without missing a beat Jack ran behind Darion jumping over the ice he was leaving behind, he probably forgot who exactly was behind him. Quickly he ran right next to him, avoiding the slippery ice Darion was leaving behind, "Careful Darion, I was right behind you". As they ran Jack scanned the area, looking for blurs of movement, seeing if they were being outran and flanked. Jack hoped they would get to a clearing soon, if worst came to worst though, he would advise Darion to take up higher ground, such as a tree, and assualt their assailants with long range techniques.

Darion looked around the area dodging tree branches and jumping over holes."Sorry about that, Adrenaline rush popped up."He said while still managing to keep his breath.Darion quickly looked around to see an exit to a clearing but he didn't see much."I know now isn't the time but, I ******** told you so!Next time we hear screaming we are NOT going to check it out!"
