He scuffed, flicking his tail side to side. He would prove he was better sooner or later. Right now he just wanted to see this girl, and get this done with, prove to Blaze that love was selfish, cold hearted, and broken.
"Well, ladies aren't my type, I don't need them going gaga over me." He admitted finally. If Blaze looked at him disgusted then fine. Just proves his point that people are cruel and uncaring bastards. He rolled his eyes, smelling the scent of herbs nearby. Were they nearby?

"Oh?" Blaze looked at him surprised, "Well that's your choice." He smiled, "I see nothing against an attractive male...but then I have always swung both ways." He shrugged his shoulders, then looked up as he smelled the herbs. "Mmm...we're getting closer." He smiled as he looked back at Phyras, "Think you can tough it out or would you like to take a break and have something to eat?"
He looked around looking for the right path to take. They would have to go right into the tribe. His daughter was a caretaker, which meant that she would be safely inside the tribe not out exploring.

He, once again proving how tough he was, flicked his tail once. "Continue onwards, of course." He grumbled, proving a point as usual. He wanted to show off, just a little. It was a good thing that Blaze wasn't judging him, that he wasn't even flinching at it. Wait, he swung both ways?
Well....
No time for those thoughts! He continued onwards, wanting nothing more than to swat at the male and point out that he never said it'd take this long.

"Alright then...this way..." Blaze smiled as he continued through the tribe. He didn't know if they would run into the tribe's elder, but it was pretty obvious that Embry was his daughter, after all she was like a carbon copy of him only a female version. So he didn't think that he would be perceived as a threat or anything. But just to be sure he made sure to go slowly through their territory. Embry was caring for the sick in the tribe since there were yet to have any kits to care for, but no matter what she did she liked to be useful. It was nice to have a purpose in life finally, though of course she always missed her mate Boni, but in a couple days she would have some time to go and visit him. As she was leaning down to pick an herb she tilted her head and sniffed the air, "Mm...Father?" She shot up excitedly.Blaze beamed as he spotted his daughter, "Embry!" He called out to her, hoping that she would be as excited to see him as he was to see her.

When Blaze seemed to burst with joy at seeing a female that at the moment was a blur to him, he rolled his eyes. When they approached her he nearly halted. They looked so much alike! It was freaky, kinda. He wondered who her mother was, then again he didn't care. He didn't want to know, he knew it would only annoy him.
He moved to sit beside Blaze, silent. He'd watch this little meet and greet. He would see how her love for a blind mate was perceived.

"Daddy..." Embry broke out in a run and then skid to a stop in front of him and rubbed up and down his pelt as she purred with excitement. "It is so good to see you." She smiled at him, "What are you doing here? Is something wrong with IIario?"
He chuckled at the greeting. He should have known there was nothing to fear, his little Embry was always so affectionate, even too him. "No your brother is just fine. Got a mate of his own now. Another male, never knew my little boy was so much like his father." He gave her a cheeky grin, "Oh Embry, this is my friend Phyras. Phyras my daughter, Embry."
"Oh..." Embry blushed, "Sorry I didn't see you sitting there." Her eyes went wide, "Wow...Your pelt..." She walked closer, then circled, "It's so pink! I love it." She beamed, "Sorry again." She blushed, "I didn't mean to stare. I'm Embry...it is very nice to meet you Phyras. Any friend of my father's is my friend." She beamed.

"My coat is... you like it?"
Phyras took then to puff up proudly. "Yes, it is rather amazing, isn't it?" Then he remembered his purpose for being there, eyes narrowing. He'd be blunt, out right so. Then he stopped, unsure what to say or do. This was Blaze's child, not some random girl. His voice stayed still, then looked at Blaze, urging him on. He wanted to know why she stuck with a blind male. She was hyper and happy it seemed.... though a liar could always fake being such things easily.

"It is." Embry smiled at him, "Pink is my favorite color." She looked at her father and smiled, "I like your friend Daddy. I can see he's a good fox. He has a good heart."
Blaze blinked as he looked at his daughter. How could she see that within a minute, but rather then ask he thought he should stay on the topic at hand. "You were right that I came here for a reason Embry. Phryas here doesn't believe in love? Or rather doesn't believe in the love as we see it...he thinks it is cold, and cruel...and well..." He blushed. "I wanted him to hear about your love with Boni."
"Ah!" Embry gasped as she looked at her father, "Doesn't believe in love?" She looked at the pink fox sadly, "Oh you poor thing." She leaned in and nuzzled his coat gently, fearing that something horrible must have happened to him for him to feel that way. "Of course I will tell you about Boni and me. You'll see...not all love is twisted." She looked Phyras, her heart tugging for the poor male. "What would you like to know? You can ask anything of me. I will do anything to help you."

He looked at her, eyes narrowing. "What makes you stay with this man?" He asked, head tilting as he grinned suddenly. She'd fail. She'd crumble and say something stupid. "What are you gaining from a blind male?" He asked, circling her. He was judging, one could tell. He wanted her to fail. He wanted to turn to Blaze and prove a point.
Though, what was this feeling he had? Why was he feeling like.... like he wanted to be near Blaze? And why did he want to scoop Embry up and baby her, seeing as she was Blaze's child.
No... was this attachment?

"Well..." Embry thought about it for a second. "Boni makes me happy. He doesn't judge me or criticize me. He teaches me something if i want to learn. And since he's blind....I can learn new things from him. I get to see the world through his eyes, learn to see things the way he does." She giggled, "It's hard because I have sight and he doesn't so sometimes it's hard to communicate things to him...but I always find a way. When I'm with him...it just feels....right. Like I'm meant to be thre with him. I fell warm...and safe...and.....loved. Always I can feel his love wrapping around me like a blanket."
Blaze smiled proudly at his daughter, "It makes you feel stronger?"
"Exactly!" Embry beamed, "I fell stronger when I'm with Boni because I know that no matter what happens Boni would do anything for me, and i would do anything for him."

Phyras blinked, shock on his face. His circling stopped, still as one paw hovered over the ground. She'd do anything for him? He made her feel good, and strong? Her smile, her way of moving when thinking of him was.....
Honest.
He stared at her, still grasping for straws, still wanting to throw it in Blaze's face. "You don't sneak around? You don't even want to" He asked, determined yet his voice came out....smaller. She seemed...happy.
Why?

"Sneak around?" Embry looked at him surprised, "Why would I want to do that?" She shook her head, frowning slightly, "Boni would be so hurt if I did that...besides...Boni is the only fox I have ever wanted to be with." She smiled. "He means everything to me."
"And I know for a fact that Boni feels the same way about you."
Embry blushed, looked down at the ground happily, "Yes. He travels away from the forest, the one place where he knows everything is...he memorized the entire area...but he leaves it to come here where he doesn't know anything...just to see me..." She giggled, "I love it when he shows up..." She bounced up and down, "And I get to go visit him in a couple of days. I'm so excited. Kithara said I could. She's the best! But she knows how much I miss him."

He blinked at the two, eyes wide still. Pink eyes looked at the ground, claws digging into the ground. He felt happy when he saw Blaze, even though at first he was pissed. Pissed off and wanted to hurt Blaze. But then..... He wanted to be near Blaze. Did that mean....?
He looked at her, still confused and unsure what to do. Then, finally, he merely stammered a: "I-Is that so.." What the hell? No. NO. Blaze was not winning. However.... this girl was stupidly innocent. She didn't even look the type to lie.
Dammit.

"Yes it is." Emrby smiled at him as she sat on the ground, her tail wagging happily behind her. "Was there anything else you wanted to ask me?"
Blaze knew that he was winning. He could already see the difference in Phyras. He hadn't criticized her, called her stupid or left. Did this mean that he was finally getting through to the pink fox. "Phy." Blaze leaned over and nudged the male with his muzzle, sliding down his shoulder, "What do you think now?" He smiled at the pink male affectionately.

He looked at Blaze, jumping when he judged him. What did he think? That this all was... was... wrong! And his own feelings were wrong! Phyras looked at Embry with wide eyes, ears flicking agains this head, head hanging low.
"How do you know when.... when you ...." He cut off, growling the next word. "Love someone?" He was not amused by this, not amused that Blaze was winning and he had to say this. But he had to. He needed to know. He poked at the ground, grumbling, even growling a little. Not a vicious one, just a growl of defeat.
