Her reaction to his answer wasn't as positive as she had predicted it would be. The part of her that was thrilled to have found a talented and capable recruit was overshadowed by the part that was reluctant to take him from friends and family, to essentially spirit him away from his home and his normal life. But she wouldn't question his resolve. He had thought it through - the numerous questions and intermittent thoughtful silences were evidence of that. More than that, it seemed foolhardy to pressure away a willing individual with such useful affinities.
"Understood," she said, leaving only a negligible silence between his words and hers. "Welcome to Team Rocket. I look forward to working with you." She side-stepped, making a suggestion at moving forward. "If you have any other questions, I can answer just about anything now. Otherwise, we can head to the base."

Dude, Team Rocket? His eyebrows rose in surprise. He'd heard of them, sure, but their activity seemed to be centered around Camphoreon recently, though he did remember on the news a while back about something at a museum somewhere. Makko or something? Anyway. "Gracias," he said as he started to walk, though paused momentarily. "Thank you though, really. For helping me," he added in more serious tones. He didn't have anyone else that could've helped - well, besides maybe his family, but in his mind they'd be too upset to do anything for him. Plus his mom never wanted him to have any pokemon to begin with, so he couldn't imagine them being too keen on helping even if they didn't disown him. Maybe he'd find out someday that they hadn't.
He did have more questions, but they could discuss them on the way there.
