Pyroth nodded "I hear you. And not to sugar coat it, the second one has the habit of being that little bit worse." he cringed slightly at the memory of his feet shifting from plantigrade to digitigrade. That had really hurt.
He gave the other man a polite nod though, realising that he had probably best be off, he had to go get dinner still and he hadn't eaten in ages.
"Anyway, it's been nice meeting you Jamal, but I have to go, I've got a severe case of the munchies and running around here all morning chasing scents only made it that bit worse."
He swished his tail and gave him a grin
"I'll see you around."

Jamal flinced at bit at the other man's admission but nodded anyway, seeing that Pyroth needed to be on his way.
"A'ight. You'll prob'ly run inta me anotha' day if you come ova this way much," he said with a grin also. "'N' don't forget ta find me if ya get an idea fo' them staff peeps."

The day after he had led Kaveri into the jungle to the sight of the crime, Jamal had spent the early morning sitting in his duplex, acting as though nothing was amiss. If anyone expected him to be up in arms over Aubrey's attack, they were all sorely mistaken. In fact, the only thing he really wondered was who he ought to congradulate. He certainly had no recollection of meeting up with the woman since the time he attempted to burn his duplex down, not that he wouldn't LOVE to be able to take the credit. He wasn't afraid of Moreau.
However, sitting and musing grew old by noon and he soon left his duplex and again returned to the jungle for his usual tromp through the underbrush. The tiger led him through the jungle per usual. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary out there in the wilderness.
As he walked, Jamal pondered a great many things, one of which being just how many people thought HE had done it and who was going to try to be a hero and try to turn him in. Jamal certainly wasn't going to go quietly if this was the case. EVERYONE should know better than to cross him.

It had taken far longer to get to his little secluded bit of jungle than Jamal would have liked. He had struggled to supress the urge to snap at the sleezeball that trailed clumsily behind him, instead smoking through at least three cigarettes to keep himself occupied. They finally reached it though and Jamal promptly heaved himself up into his usual tree, though taking one of the lowest branches to lounge on. His stunted tail curled into a question make shape as he lay on his belly and peered down at Billy.
"So what's da deal?"

Billy was panting, sagged on his crutches as they made their way into the nook, practically collapsing onto the cold earth as he gasped for air. "Jes'... jes' give me... a moment..."
His body was dry and greyed looking, but he retrieved the waterbottle he had coiled in a lower tentacle, splashing his skin untill he shone slimy again, and took a long drink.

Jamal couldn't hide the disgust on his face but he could avert his eyes from the process, which he did do, idly scratching his claws through the sparce hair on his forearms as though he was grooming. The black man was hardly winded from their trek, but he supposed that he could understand Billy's difficulty. It didn't make him any less impatient, however.

Once the octopus man had caught his breath, sitting comfortably with his back up to another tree and his tentacles folded idly in his lap, save for one tentacle-hand that tended to his fresh cigarette, "By yer repritation, lad, I figured ye were th'first place I shoul' go. Wha's been done as far as attemptin' somethin' here. Ye've been here a while, I figure. Ye've seen more, an' know more'n I would. An' from wha' I can tell, ye'd be trust worthy no' t'turn me in t'tha' damn madhouse of a laboratory."

Alright, rule one...don't use words that Jamal would never understand even if the speaker didn't have an accent. He was going to comment, but decided to just gloss over it and try to pick out phrases he could understand.
Why couldn't this guy TALK NORMAL.
"Pffft, I don't give them ******** at da labs any help unless I'm tyin' a noose fo' their own necks o' cockin' da gun fo' their own suicide...even if I ********' hate da person they want," he responded, grasping blindly at the only thing he really seemed to be able to decode in that whole mess. "I want 'em all dead."

Billy at least understood the last bit, giving a knowlagable nod, "Righ', aye, bu' who else? Anyone else tha' migh' be willin' t'do anytin' t'shut this damn place down an' get ourselves *fixed*! It's mad t'think one o' us at a time can do a t'ing! I go' a plan, Jam-maul, an' I wanted y't'be me partner."

...this was ridiculous. Jamal wondered if he'd understand more talking to his poor prey items than this guy....and why the ******** did he say Jamal all weird. It was irritating.
"You want...me..." he said, trying to sort through the garble as he peered down with a hard glare at Billy, arms crossed on the firm bark of his perch. "You want me ta be yer partna'. Like...werk t'getha? What da ******** kin' you do?"

"Because I'm startin' this damn thing, an' I know where it's goin'. Now d'y'want t'DO somethin', or y'wanna keep pissin' in th'wind?" The octopus man growled, glaring up at the cat in the tree.

Jamal's tail lashed aggitatedly through the leaves that drapped down from higher branches as he glared at Billy, a whole string of insults just waiting to be thrown. He, however, literally bit his tongue and made a motion with his hand that meant for Billy to continue.

"Obviously, I aint... physically capable o' doin' much, bu' I do go' a bunch o' mad ideas in me chemically fecked brain, an' I'm sure you do too. I'm sure a LO' o' others feel th'same. Th'problem is gettin' anytin' done. There's them wha' don' care, them wha' are loyal t'the other side. We need th'ones tha' are SICK o' this constant feckin' wit' our minds, no' t'mention our god damned humanity."

"There ain't many dat wanna go against 'em though...they're ********' chickens."
Jamal obviously didn't think highly of those sorts of people. He couldn't see how people would just lay down and take this without a fight.
"I only know dat Kaveri ain't so keep on da docs. Vasile wasn't either as far as I knew. I heard there's some crazy named Fee...fee..fee-somethin' dat hates 'em all...Zach too, I think. I dunno fo'sho though. Peeps keep changin' their minds."
As Jamal rattled off names, he frowned. Those people HARDLY seemed like they'd be capable of anything useful.

"Then we'll see wha' people can do. Bu' th'two o' us aint doin' no good fightin' amungs ourselves when we go' more importan' things t'think aboo'. Bigger fish t'fry." He gave him a pinched-toothed grin, taking a long drag of his cigarette.
