Apollo rolled his eyes and groaned in a comical fashion. "Well no one suspected anything, but Dad thought I was being too much of a lazy boy and had me doing little chores and stuff around Home Tree with him yesterday. For your sake, oh most bodacious babe, I bit the bullet and behaved. So for today, I'm yours."
He grinned playfully at her, and bumped his head affectionately against her. "Though maybe we can work in a gatherering contest so I can bring something back home, so I don't have to endure that again. Hated having to leave you hanging like that." He tilted his head back and looked up at the branch she'd been sitting on when he first got there. "Literally, I see."

Evoe smirked, ear flicking. "All mine?" She cooed, pawing at him when his head bumped into hers, tail wagging. She nudged his chin lightly, smirking at the male. "Well, looking forward to it~" She chirped, head tilting when he mentioned a competition.
Oooo? A game? She was up for a game! Something to help stretch her limbs. She glanced at the branch as he did, clicking her tongue. "Well, it wasn't that bad, got to make some new squirell friends." She laughed slightly, now choosing to answer the competition proposal.
"Hmm, a game that is fun and can help a certain boy to meet a certain girl. How about we make terms? I win, and you teach me how to do those fancy moves you were doing earlier." Her eyes sparkled playfully, smiling wide at the male. "It seems like fun, and seems better with a partner to do it with."

Apollo snorted in laughter. "Careful, my Pops is great buddies with all the squirrels in the area. They might rat you out." He mocked glared up at something scampering in the tree that might possibly have been a squirrel, but at that height it was hard to tell.
He thought about what he'd want on the terms of winner. "Hmmm. Okay, and if I win we go cliff diving and swim a bit," Apollo said, grinning. He could probably get Evoe to do that anyway on a normal day, but swimming sounded like fun and definetly something he'd fight for.
"Okay, now for terms and rules of the game. Aaaaah." Apollo looked around at all the folliage around them. "Huh. Well maybe whoever can collect the most of a certain plant. Something useful and used in a lot of ways so we can actually use all that we collect. Huh." Apollo looked around again, hoping to spot a good plant they could use for the contest.

With a smile, Evoe thought over the various plants she had heard of, which wasn't much. Evoe wasn't a tribe fox, so often plants and their usage were not known to her. Other loners actually knew plants to care for themselves, but Evoe herself rarely got sick, so she hardly ever needed to know about plants.
However, she remembered the day a red vixen with white, black, and purple markings had passed her, asking if she had seen a plant called yarrow. Was Yarrow useful? It was the only plant that came to mind currently. So, she turned to Apollo, head tilting.
"What about Yarrow?"

Apollo's brows furrowed. He was often asked to look for plants for the shaman of the tribe, since he himself currently did not have a specific roll assigned to him. He wasn't aspiring to be a shaman himself, feeling like his carefree attitude was a bit too out of place for an important job, but he still could remember a lot of the plants he gathered.
Finally the leafy, fern-like plant associated with yarrow swam before his eyes. "Hmmm. That could definetly work. We have problems with coughs sometimes in the damp forest weather, and with wounds and all that. Yea," he said, warming up to the idea, "that should definetly work."
He looked over at Evoe and tilted his head. "Interest of fairness, do you know what yarrow looks like?"

"Not a clue." She admitted, sheepishly grinning. "Actually, I don't even know what it does. I just heard a fox mention it before during my travels."
She hesitated, flicking her tail side to side as she absently began to ponder. What was tribe-life like? He had mentioned it in detail, but it was one of those things she couldn't understand until she herself experienced it. Now while the idea of joining a tribe was tempting, she didn't want to jump into it. Yes, she liked adrenaline rushes and being active, but she knew better than to be an idiot and potentially ruin her life with rash choices.
She drew herself back to the present, smirking at Apollo. "What's it look like?"

Apollo tosses his head back, laughing in amusement. "Well it was a good suggestion, regardless," he said when he calmed down. "Here, I'll show you what it looks like and we can take off. I think, in the interest of you remaining undiscovered, you should stick with me. We meet anyone from the tribe, I can lie out my tail."
He hummed in thought for a moment. "Okay, how about this. We stick together, and first person to spot a patch says something and makes a beeline for it. We compete to gather as much as possible, then we go off in search of the next patch. Whoever gets the most when we think we have enough wins?"

Lie out his tail? She frowned at this, though didn't comment. She knew he knew how she felt about this, worried. Worried she'd be the cause of him being in trouble. Though, he trusted him. If he believed he could make this work then she'd trust his instinct. She chuckled though, shaking her head.
"Deal." She mewed back, nodding in agreement. Oh, she'd so win! She wanted to learn how to do those fancy moves Apollo was doing, it looked more than just simple hopping about, it looked fun. She could amuse herself for years with that.

Apollo was feeling pretty smug, but tried not to show it. He and Evoe were both crazy competitive, and he knew how much she'd like to know how to do his parkour trick. His win probably stung a bit more so in that case, because he'd used his skills get to the plant patches first.
"Cliff-diving and swimming it is," he crowed, unable to help his good mood from leaking out. Ah well, he'd just have to placate Evoe by promising to teach her another day. It was also a sneaky way to make sure there'd be another day...

Evoe pouted slightly, carrying the herbs she had managed to collect, though Apollo had a larger pile. Damn him and his ninja abilities, one day she'd figure it out and rival him! However, cliff diving wasn't so bad, either. In fact, it was just fine. She was just being stubborn due to the fact that Apollo had beaten her with the skill she wanted to learn. Ohhhhh one day she'd win a game with her own crazy ninja skills. Yes, she'd show him.
Though right now she had Apollo alllll to herself. Anyway, cliff diving sounded fun. Now the question was, where was said cliff to dive from? She didn't know of any cliffs.
His crow made her bump her hip against his, laughing slightly. "Need to cool off after jumping around like a squirrel? Where is this cliff, anyway?"

Apollo needed only a second to respond. "There's this little waterfall," he explained, "with some cliffs and everything along the river. It's far enough away from the main part of the tribe that we shouldn't have to worry about unwanted company, and plently of hiding places if we do hear or see something."
He turned and grinned at Evoe. "Jumping's good for building leg muscles. It's a critical part of my tricks, so think of this pre-training."

Oh? Pre-training? Did that mean there was more training ahead? Though when she glanced at the sky she knew they wouldn't have time for it. Either way, she didn't mind. She could spend time with Apollo.... and honestly that was all she wanted currently. With the flick of her tail she nodded, humming softly.
"Well," She glanced at him with a smirk. "Lets hope no one hears us splashing around then, yea? Wouldn't want them to ruin this..." Was it a date? She didn't want to risk making him disgusted with that idea, instead chuckling. "...evening." The sound of the waterfall nearby made her perk up, grinning ear to ear.

Apollo laughed. "Ever been near a waterfall? Pretty noisy things. I doubt anyone would be able to tell our splashing from the splashing sounds the water makes all on it's own. It would be our voices that give us away if anything, but I don't think we've got to worry too much about that."
The roaring sound of the water grew louder and louder, until finally they broke cover of the trees. "Well, what do you think," Apollo shouted to make himself heard over the roar. The stood at the edge of a cliff of a fairly decent height, one that started where the land suddenly dropped and formed the waterfall itself, then gradually began sloping downward as the land followed the river. One could go further away from the falls to jump from lower heights if they weren't comfortable with how high up they were.

She eyed the massive waterfall, a pleased expression on her face. Oh this, this would cause a rush. Excited, she hopped over to Apollo, who she had left for a brief few seconds to scan the cliff, and nudged his cheek.
"Lets do it!" She squeaked, tail wagging quickly. Oh, she had never done this before but it looked fun, and by the looks of it she didn't have to worry about rocks. Ooooo~ She could try some fancy tricks in the air, depending on how long she fell. Though, she'd have to be careful to land properly or else she could break her neck, that she kept stored in the back of her mind. No deaths while hanging with Apollo, bad idea.

Apollo nodded. "This is gonna be sw~eet," he crooned, unable to help his excitement from leaking through. First he made sure to set his yarrow down somewhere secure but where they'd be able to find it again, then moved up towards the edge.
"Okay, watch me closely and try to jump like me. The style isn't really important so much as making sure you get enough distance so that you aren't cracking your skull or something else." And with that Apollo ran forward the three leaps to the edge and launched himself into the open air, whooping as he did so and doing a flip before splashing down into the water below.
