“What painful little nothing's have we suffered in a year's time? Where there nicks and cuts? A few scrapped egos? Maybe a painful bump on the head when you realized that this was only one side of the coin? For those who know in their heart that they've mastered what spirituality they sought.” The windswept voice reached the far corners of the mountains without even raising his voice. Quingfu, forever amused in his tone, seemed to be whispering to each and every Shinobi. But all that soon changed. The winds picked up and the snow suddenly grew into a whiteout. The world, wild and white- obscured all sound as the world changed beyond their senses. Slowly at first, waves of warmth broke through the waves of frigid air. Like a lighthouse in the storm, it guided the rest of reality. Slow the winds died down and then the snow started to subside. With one last wintery gale- the world burst into existence. They where not in the in iced peaks any more but in a sweltering desert... “The soul guides the body but the body effects the world. A shinobi with a strong spirit but without a keen body is like a good sword with a dull edge. I challenge you once again. In one years time, find harmony in your physical form. Only then will you be able to see yourself as a whole.” [Move to the other thread Please]

The air was cold-it was like home, in a way. Shelter would be necessary, in this sort of weather... Tsukiko sighed, and looked around at her fellow trainees, taking into consideration that several of them were not accustomed to a generally cold region. To her, the air felt wonderful; her constant hot-blooded temperature made things seem warmer than what they actually were. And Ryumon....he would have trouble with this. She had to wonder if Ichi was here earlier....Tsukiko Jounin Theme

TATSUYA MIYAKI Who knows? Not me. I never lost control Location: Still out of reality, but now its snowing. Mood: stagnant Ulterior Motives: N/A Thoughts: "Another year? I guess we can just shoot the s**t later."
The blistering sunlight shone brightly while Tatsuya and Aoiro stood patiently for the transformation to complete. The young man stood with his crossed as the environment around him slowly went from one extreme to the absolute opposite, the ninja's scowl could pierce the hearts of anything that took the time to acknowledge its existence. He wasn't angered by the change of climate, no he found himself more annoyed with the fact that they had to spend another year in this place, granted, mastering the techniques of the Immortals would take a long time, but you'd think they would at least give more help than a shallow metaphor. But no, they had to go blindly, waving their arms about their heads until they stumbled into the answer.
Though, this was no time to start regretting his decision now, he needed to suck it up and shut his mouth. Which would be harder if he had something he considered a friend in the area, but seeing how that was not the case he remained in his spot and prepared himself for the kind of spiritual training Quingfu was talking about. From what he could illustrate from the instructions Tatsuya could only believe he would have to once again leave to go find himself, and once he did, he needed to find a way to find harmony with it. He needed to find a way to let all his ambitions go and ultimately give up everything that made him into the mixed bottle of emotions that stood in the snow that day. Wait... It was snowing?

The frigid air was nothing, as she looked over at the younger shinobi that was close by. Damn, that lizard had grown! She casually approached Tatsuya, trying not to set off whatever was behind that piercing scowl, and gave him a half-hearted grin. "H-hey...kinda reminds you of Kumo, doesn't it?" Tsukiko stated to him quietly, keeping the slight grin on her face. He'd grown up, that's for sure...Tsukiko Jounin Theme

TATSUYA MIYAKI Who knows? Not me. I never lost control Location: Snowy Reality Mood: Apathetic Ulterior Motives: N/A Thoughts: "This is what Kumo looked like? I guess I had forgotten."
Tatsuya hardly moved from his place while Tsukiko spoke to him, he honestly didn't have anything against her at all, though, he found that the scowl as easier to keep than to change. Her words though, they seemed to cut him deep, not the intent, but the content made him grit his teeth even more.
"I wouldn't know, I haven't been in Kumokagure in nearly three years. I don't remember what it looks like anymore."
The ninja let out a shallowed sigh and just took the moment to look about at the drastic change in scenery. Had he really been away from home for that long? He couldn't believe it to be honest, the memories of his 'home' had blended together, and the faces he once called his friends all swirled up into nothingness. He really couldn't remember much of anything and the thought scared him deeply. He remembered only few people, Shiso, Nemutai, and Tsukiko, but his father's and mother's faces and voices were lost in the depths of his memories. He was shaken and scared within his mind, but his body showed no sign of conflict, apparently being around Ren long enough made it second nature to the Miyaki.

Tsukiko flinched slightly at Tatsuya's words, though he did have a point. She'd taken over his mission, and hadn't really been home either, but she could remember the cold, frigid air of Kumo, and she wished Tatsuya could too. "The trees have all started to come back...and the icy air isn't as cold this time of year....though it is time for it to start snowing again..." Her hands rubbed at her scarred arms, and she stared up at the sky as she spoke of home. "It's less snowy and cold, but still cool air in breezes that rake the mountain tops....though I was only home briefly before this began..."Tsukiko Jounin Theme

TATSUYA MIYAKI Who knows? Not me. I never lost control Location: Kumokagure wannabe Mood: Ulterior Motives: N/A Thoughts: "Home? It hasn't been home since I left."
Come to think of it, he couldn't really remember many of the lands he had been to, and he had actually been to a lot since he had taken his position on the Udai Counsel. The Snow Country, the Wind Village, and the compound were the only real places he could remember, though, Snow and Wind were the two extremes, and the compound was where he had been most of the time. He couldn't put his finger on why he found the thought of Kumo so hard to remember, then it hit him like a sack of bricks. He couldn't call it his home anymore, he only cared for few people within its walls, and since he had left he had little to no drive to want to go back. The realization was the thought that shattered everything in the ninja's mind, and destroyed the strong stance he found himself in.
It hit him hard, the emotional blow hit him so hard he winced and fell to his knee. He had never thought about it so directly, but, he was without anyone, of course he wasn't alone physically, but the realization that he had no home to go back to once all this was over made him feel as if the fight was going to be a useless fight.
"What happened between us?"
Tatsuya had actually considered Tsukiko a friend at one time, but along the way they met different people and changed, and eventually had a confrontation. But that too was such a long ways into the past that the Udai ninja was unable to remember the reason for their quarrel.

Her eyes shone slightly, a deep sadness and familiarity springing forth in the emerald pools. "We...fought over a person...something we didn't agree on...and we just grew apart..." Her face went from the grin, to a frown, to a slightly distanced look within a small time frame. "But...you've grown splendidly, Tatsuya." San curled around Kiko's feet, and looked up at Aoiro, curiously watching what had been a tiny lizard a few years ago.Tsukiko Jounin Theme

He should have seen that one coming. What he couldn't have seen, was the part where it got hot to the point where he was sure he was going to spontaneously combust! His shelter didn't feel like it was helping with jack-s**t and he started cursing whatever higher power existed and swore if they didn't turn down the mother ******** heat, he'd kick their asse-... oh how he wished he never thought that. Now they were on a mountain. A cold, cold mountain. With a sigh of resignation Ren, as always, decided complaining would be useless even if he'd had the ability to complain. Seeing the others for the first time in a while, Ren wondered what he should do about- oh, what do you call it? Oh yea-shelter! First thing was first, he reched into his backpack and pulled out his coat. He got it on him fast as Quick Draw, zipped up and pulled the hood over his head. Better. Not perfect, but better. Oh this training was just gonna be oodles of fun, wasn't it?

Ryumon Tensa "Know that the way of the shinobi should be one of love for his family and people...Know too that the way of the shinobi is terribly harsh..."

Annoyed? No, that was not strong enough a word he thought to himself as he held his coat tightly to his body.
As he moved through this frozen waste...this desert of ice...he noticed Tsukiko and some one else.
"I friggin hate transportation techniques....and the cold.......mostly the cold right now....." he said bitterly
"....You two know each other?" he said a bit of snow falling from his now raised eyebrow

The normal attention span of Tsukiko had remained the same, though the youngest shinobi in the group had spoken to them, and she was almost forced to respond-it was in her nature. "Yes...we knew each other from a long time ago..." Tsukiko said quietly, before looking at the slightly frozen Sand ninja. A few quick swipes through her scroll pouches found one that contained something a bit warmer, and she snapped open the scroll, before pulling out a thick fur jacket and placing it over the boy's shoulders. "You should put this on-this is home climate for me, though I am slightly cold myself..."Tsukiko Jounin Theme

TATSUYA MIYAKI Who knows? Not me. I never lost control Location: Kumokagure wannabe Mood: antisocial Ulterior Motives: N/A Thoughts: "I'll find my own way."
Oh yes, that was why they had their squabbles, and the truth was that he still held the same beliefs now as he did back then, he would defend his friend to the end, he wouldn't be choosing sides, but he wouldn't let one of his 'friends' badmouth another one. He remembered, quite vividly, what Tsukiko was referring to, it was when Tatsuya was getting information from Ichite-ru about the Immortal Lu, when Seika came to be the subject of blame and Tatsuya defended his friend only to be met with Tsukiko's harsh opinions and anger. He wasn't about to say he wasn't enraged back then too, which probably made the situation just more heated, but he didn't want to have to suffer through the same thing twice. With that the boy picked himself up and spoke to Ryumon, then to Tsukiko.
"No, we don't know each other, if we did we would respect each other's choices in friendships... Since I'm the only one that does out of the two of us, you can read between the lines. Bye Tsukiko, good luck with your training."
When he finished his words he gathered himself up and began walking away from the area, allowing himself and Tsukiko amble space to focus on training without getting in each other's way. Plus, he needed to find a shelter as well as think of the situations he found himself in when it came to his choice in friends, within moments the Udai member as well as his companion began their trek to the opposite end of the training area.

TATSUYA MIYAKI Who knows? Not me. I never lost control Location: Hole in the Ground (Cave) Mood: pensive Ulterior Motives: N/A Thoughts: "Well, that's shelter found."
In the short matter of a few minutes Tatsuya and Aoiro found themselves a good distance away from anyone that was in the tower, and with some sort of dumb luck he was able to find a large hole inside the side of an even bigger rock formation. Shelter! At least he would be able to gather his thoughts as well as train in peace and away from many of the distractions that walked around outside. Though, once inside he was confronted with the same problems as he was facing out with Tsukiko, it was as if he would not find any peace unless he just let the stress overwhelm him, so he did.
He quickly stripped away his sword bag as well as the dagger on his waist in order to sit comfortably in the center of his makeshift home. Within seconds he began drawing shallow breaths as his inner thoughts began flooding out in a clashing flood of pain and anger. However, with it being fresh on his mind, the memory of Seika took a prominent place in his thoughts. So much so that he verbally and mentally spoke outward, as if he would get some sort of answer back.
"Seika... What happened to us?"
The short question haunted the Udai Ninja since he lost contact with his friend during his participation in the Chunin Exams. While he was taking part, Seika had disappeared, and he didn't see her again until they met in the Snow country under hostile circumstances. The confrontation only brought about more questions and answers, Seika seemed apathetic towards him. The two had shared very strong memories together, they traveled together around the continent while attempting to finish up his brother's final mission. They made a strong friendship, but the girl's hostility towards him in the Snow Country made him feel as if he was going to throw up, and just reminiscing about it made him nauseous.
"Seika... I miss you."
He spoke again, though he knew a reply would never come, perhaps just letting out the emotion would allow him to think clearly about it enough for it to become rational and capable of growth. At least that's what he was assuming Quingfu was trying to get him to do. Tatsuya would just have to find that bit out on his own, even if his eyes were having difficulty holding back the tears.

Ryumon Tensa "Know that the way of the shinobi should be one of love for his family and people...Know too that the way of the shinobi is terribly harsh..."

Ryumon took a breath seemingly distracted by the escaping vapor...
He regained his focus and held the fur coat tightly around him.... "Thank you Tsukiko-sensei...." he said with a warm smile..
"Ya know with instincts like this you'll make a great mother one day...." he added with a grin...
"We should find shelter....i don't want anyone to find a 'Suna-cicle' out here" he said feeling terrible for having made that tacky joke.

His words stung, and Tsukiko flinched at what Tatsuya had said. Perhaps he was right…but he had to learn that there were just some things that couldn’t be changed, and some people just could not be saved.
Her eyes softened a bit, and she smiled at Ryumon, before beginning to pile snow on top of snow, creating bricks and a solid bottom structure. With a kunai, she began to carve out edges along the bricks of snow, packing them into an igloo, of sorts. Childish games had been wonderful in the snows of Kumo, though building something made of snow was considered essential if you went further north, into Snow country…
Within a half hour or so, Tsukiko had built a functioning igloo, large enough for herself, Ryumon, and San to fit it. She carved a small doorway and a ceiling vent into the ice chunks, and scooped the snow from inside, making a crater for a floor. At least this would protect them from the elements outside…“Come inside, Ryumon, and get out of the weather. I get the feeling that this encounter is dealing with inner demons, and we should try to meditate it out, perhaps…”Tsukiko Jounin Theme
